Legacy 4 - Tomb of Secrets by David
David, Yes, your games are beautifully done down to the smallest detail. Your Legacy games are amazingly illustrated however tomb of secrets is the third or fourth game developed by David that I’ve tried to play and some you pay for upfront but each and every game has some major glitches or bugs or something I end up deleting the game and I never finish then I might try another one of your games because they’re seductive. They’re so beautiful but the hints are out of sync and will not correct themselves on two of the last games. I tried to play so I just was so frustrated. I had to delete the game that basically for me ties my hands behind my back and I can’t do it anymore and I don’t know how to address that it sticks on let me show you and takes me to YouTube over and over and over again so I want you to know that because it completely sucks and it ruins everything if you could fix that oh that would be so wonderful thanks

Fun until the end!
A challenging quest that strikes an excellent balance between adventure and puzzles, all with an intriguing storyline that unfolds along the way. I appreciate the little notes left behind that help draw you in more and more. I also appreciate the map systems because it lets you know when you have completed all the tasks in that area. Otherwise I would have been running around tapping on so many useless things. I also enjoyed the hint system, which truly gave you stacked clues without outright showing you the answer. The first clue would usually be very general and then get more specific depending on how much direction you needed, making you feel ok when you need just a little nudge to get back on track. A few elements were confusing in terms of there being more than one task per room sometimes. It was hard to know what was an immediate task you weren’t getting right versus something that you would just need to come back to later. Most of the time they will clue you in, but not all the time. So this was a little frustrating and required some deductive reasoning. A few elements did not make sense, such as in one scene there should have been smoke or fire coming from a cart that powered turbines in a shaft. Instead it just looked like dried wood. The puzzle worked but really was a big miss on the designer’s part. Despite this I would have given it 5 stars, except I was truly let down by the ending. I will save any spoilers, but with all the intricacies put into the puzzles, I really expected a much more grand finale for the end, maybe something really boss level feeling or at least a great sense of closer to the story line. It really provided neither and was honestly just a huge letdown. I still enjoyed and would highly recommend. I look forward to hopefully seeing more from this developer in the future!

Je ne partage pas l’avis général. J’ai aimé les opus précédents, mais celui-ci est beaucoup trop confus, étalé et alambiqué, si bien que sans aide, on ne peut pas vraiment avancer et on fini par devoir se reposer beaucoup trop sur les indices, ce qui gâche le plaisir de jouer. Grande adepte de ce genre donc peut-être un peu trop exigeante, mais je ne suis pas rentrée dedans et l’abandonne pour le moment :( Attendons le prochain…

I’ve loved the first 3, played them many times over so naturally was thrilled that there is a 4th! Awesome graphics and game play! Great map and hints if you need them. I highly recommend all of the Legacy games if you like games like The Room and House of Da Vinci!

Excellent Graphics
Thanks David for a great game. I do have some suggestions though. A lot of the hints were difficult to follow. I’m a pretty smart guy, but there would be no way I could complete it without the hints. And even with the hints a lot of them were not intuitive. Some of them made no sense at all. I would recommend, if you are not doing it already, is have someone outside your circle test the levels as you work on them. The ore cart sequence was a bit much. Along with the excellent graphics, some of the puzzles were amazing though. I look forward to your other games.

Beautiful graphics. The worker mechanism and the flow of accomplishment levels seemed very disconnected to me and often didn’t seem to make sense. I thought the escape process would be have more flow and connections to the next step like The Room or House of Davinci

Auch der vierte Teil begeistert
Auch im vierten Teil muss man sein Hirn ordentlich verbiegen. Manchmal vielleicht etwas zu schräg. Die Steuerung braucht noch etwas Bearbeitung, das klappt nicht immer, wie gewünscht. Ohne Hinweis kommt man manchmal tatsächlich nicht weiter oder der Hinweis ist einfach total missverständlich ( im Raum X gibt es etwas aufzuheben. Im Raum X gibt es aber nichts zum aufheben ) Im Großen und Ganzen sehr gut. Der vierte Teil ist ordentlich groß, hat mich an manchen Stellen echt genervt. Trotzdem meine Empfehlung.

Infaisable sans aide
Ca me rappelle Rhem. On tournait en rond des heures durant. Seul le concepteur du jeu doit s’amuser. Perso, les énigmes illogiques et sans queue ni tête ça me lasse. Je n’achète pas un jeu uniquement pour voir la soluce sur YouTube faute de comprendre à quoi on veut en venir. J’ai réussi seule quelques énigmes mais franchement cet opus 4 est vraiment trop abscond. Désolée. Sinon graphisme très bien. Mais qu’est-ce qu’on se sent mal dans ce monde sans âme et sans vie !

So unique (AI could NEVER) and the unlimited hints make it just the right amount of challenging. I feel like it’s tough to nail this type of controls in these games but its really functional and so cool to have that extra layer

The game itself is good and largely trouble-free. However, the layout is confusing; I cant figure out how the rooms relate to one another.

Sans les indices et souvent les vidéos, on est bloqués. Le visuel est très réussi. Je n’aurais jamais passé à travers sans l’aide et pourtant je joue souvent à ce type de jeu. J’ai quand même apprécié le jeu.

Best game I have played in a long time. Right up there with the best. Some of the puzzles are very challenging if you choose the option to play with no hints but the good news is you can decide how challenged you want to be so it will appeal to almost all levels of players. Another top notch game from David. Well worth the relatively low price.
