What people like

What they complain about
- Keeps crashing during workouts
- Glitchy and full of bugs
- Weight entry scroll wheel is slow
Best workout app
I’ve had many dieting apps and this has been the best for tracking. It’s also great because it consolidates my workouts and tracks my macros all-in-one. Not to mention the technical support is amazing. They get back to you within 45 mins or less and use the best troubleshooting techniques.
Charged me for no reason
I had clicked on the “ free trial” button and proceeded to charge me a year trial. Pretty much says it’s out of their hands.
Scroll wheel for weight is the worst
Great app, I’ve been using this for multiple years now. My one single complaint is the “scroll wheel” to enter the weight used during a workout. Get rid of the scroll wheel!!!!! Or at least make an option where we can enter weight used with a number pad versus the scroll wheel.
Great app but very buggy
I have tried this app multiple times once when it first came out and this year. Great idea but the functionality is not where it needs to be, I can’t finish workouts because it’s picking up my yearly subscription that’s been paid. Waste of money do not recommend
It’s ok - good for beginners
App is kind of buggy. I often have to force quit the app and re-enter sets. AI scan is not usually very accurate (to be expected probably). The workouts are just not for me personally. Needs more exercise selection for substitutions.
Used for 1 year
I love the workout programs
Constantly Crashing
The app crashes every time I use it. Programs in it are good, but you have to have it open the whole time without locking your phone. Every time I unlock my photo to rest a set, it crashes, signs me out and makes me log in again then I have to start from scratch. It’s frustrating dealing with this during workouts. Been using it since January and issue as been on going.
It’s good but
I like the app and the workout, it keeps me focused and on a plan. the macro tracker needs work. can you please let us edit food we scan in?
App is no longer good
They just updated the app so it’s now super difficult to create meals. I’m having to use my fitness pal and then transfer the macros over. I’m looking forward to my subscription ending in October, I’ll be going back to my fitness pal
Glitches
So many glitches
10/10 BEST WORKOUT APP
Changed my workouts. Helps me stay consistent and disciplined to train everything even the muscles I don’t want to do. Makes it easy to track and super useful rest timers so I don’t have to switch to my clock app. Automatically ups the weight for you and or volume every workout. Has tons of workout plans. Recommend for everyone. I have achieved a physique I am proud of through this app naturally at 6’5” from 170lbs-210lbs lean. These programs are legit. Give it a try. You won’t regret it and your body will thank you later.🔱
AI Feature and Nutrition
The workouts are great for beginners but the AI function is limited and is the reason I got the app - the AI feature only lets you scan a few times per month, honestly you’d probably be better buying a dedicated AI nutrition scanner or using google gemini than this and then just youtubing some workouts. The app is fine for the first year of fitness, but offers nothing for people who’ve been working our for 2-3+ years. Won’t be subscribing again unless major changes are made. I do feel like I wasted my money unfortunately.
App is good
I came back for the AI macro tracker, but I feel the workout section could be better. Maybe go off a style like fitbod and let us create supersets and pick from more than 2 excercise substitutes in the programs .. this is close and could easily be the best all in one app hands down. I just prefer the flow of other workout tracker apps
Good, but inadequate small bug clearing
Last update to the app has been 10 months, a few easily noticeable bugs stand out as well as no recent improvements loaded Getting charged a monthly premium you would except continued improvement
Sharing
Make a Family Share plan for this app. It’s what families want. And what better way to stay connected and fit together. Get in front of the curve on this.
The beastly app
This app is truly amazing it really helps you stay on a good gym schedule
Good
The app works great for all tasks, except for the progress picture function, which encounters issues while loading images.
Bug error
Hello, I need assistance with a bug in the app. It keeps telling me to start a free trial after I click start/finish on my exercise. I am already a member. Please help with this error thank you
Expensive for a first version app
This training app costs way too much for one that hasn’t proved it’s effectiveness.. Launch price should always be cheaper than this!
Fix the app
When are you going to fix the app from restarting in between sets. It starts your entire session over.
Awesome app
The app has its bugs, but before when I was using it religiously before my surgery, i was getting the best workouts and I got into incredible shape
Can’t use
Been a customer for a year and no longer will let me on. Apple shows my subscription as active. I pay for it but says I don’t have access. Having to report as fraud to get money back.
Almost Perfect (2 Things)
Connect to Apple Health + Community Feature. Aside from that, it’s awesome! STAY BEASTLY
Looks nice, but how much????
Looks like a nice app, but I don’t start any free trial until I know what it will cost me afterwards. Would be nice if you were more transparent on the pricing... Edit: even if I click “subscribe”, the button does absolutely nothing. Is this an Australian App Store issue???
Notifications aren’t working
Hi David, Massive fan of yours and have had the app for years. Best app in the business and has definitely led me to more gains. Unfortunately, since the update the notifications won’t push so I don’t know when it’s time to start my next set. I turn my phone off mid workout to try and get away from my phone for the day but now I don’t know when to start my next set. Also, as far as I’m aware you can’t skip workouts any more and sometimes due to my schedule that was huge for me so would like to see that back too. Massive fan and if these two things get fixed it’s be a 5 star review. Keep up the good work!
A Beast of A Fitness App
Amazing app! Actually best training program and fitness app I’ve ever tried. Just want to drop two suggestions for things I’d love to see in the future… 1. Widgets (Mostly for the Macro Wheels and Steps) 2. Preview Video Demonstrations for Workouts (Mini video with No Audio so music doesn’t stop, that Autoplays when on exercise, tap for full video explanation) Don’t know if I explain myself well on this one
Cant log in
Since the latest update, apple login is removed. Now I can’t access the app which I have payed for, nor can I continue my workouts. Also all my progress is saved on the apple account.
Awesome.. Besides one thing
The app is ALMOST exactly what I’ve been looking for. The ability to customize our own macros would be a game changer!!
Buggy
Keeps on crashing when I enter the subscription phase.
Not bad
I like David & admire his physique. The app is simple to use and professional. I’m using the total body / push pull routine. I wanted something fresh and it does the job. But as an ex athlete & PT the routine seriously lacks leg exercises in this set up. So, I’ve added some quad exercises on the push day and calves on the pull day. Not sure it’s worth the £14 per month subscription if you have to add exercises yourself. If you didn’t your leg gains would be poor. A little more thought and adding some more leg work would be necessary. Especially as I felt the volume was low and easy.
Great app
I’ve been using this app since its release back in 2020 it has helped me so much with tracing my diet and it has helped me with keeping all my recorded past reps takes all the stress out of keeping a notebook with the information. Highly recommend!
Terrible all around
The app is sooo glitchy like all kinds of glitch. Like not only that but the meals he suggests arent all that great either. If youre looking to get lean and shredded this app is NOT FOR YOU!!! If you just wanna eat whatever you want and hope to not get fat by all means download this app.
Love this app!
Love this app, have been using it for a while. I love the workouts and not having to guess what to do. The one thing I don’t like is the new number scrolling for recording weight and reps. I liked being able to enter it. The scroll is too slow and sometimes doesn’t move. I’d suggest either going back to keyboard entry, using the default iOS scrolling or provide keyboard entry and scrolling entry.
Keeps Crashing
I know you just released this and I’m so keen to put this into practice but after putting all my details in and choosing the 7 day trial. The app immediately crashes and closes. Also, the check boxes I believe for monthly and yearly subscription says ‘null’. Hope this helps makes you aware that it’s not currently working. Peace!
Great app!
Using this app has helped me keep count of my macros and the full body workouts are great!! Don’t regret signing up one bit!
A joke
Miss advertisement. Advertised as free but you literally can’t access anything without paying a subscription of £14.49 per month! Absolute rip off
Still super sluggish trying to make it work
Why after clicking on a workout can we not get back into that specific exercise? If you happen to accidentally click forward you’re locked out and can’t make changes or really continue the exercises properly.
Bugs
Not allowing me to start the free trial however it looks pretty solid. Will change the rating once fixed and I’ve explored
Stay Beastly!
Been using this app for about 3 years now and it’s awesome one of the best fitness apps I’ve ever used and very organized over the years, Love how I can track my calories & also has some good recipes for your fitness goals never seen an app that helps u cook some good food that’ll hit your protein or diet goals! and also shows what workouts to do so u never go in the gym again without knowing what to do, has it organized for u throughout the week.
I can’t unsubscribe
The app doesn’t have a food database anything like MyFitnessPal. You cannot create your own workouts you have to use defaults. There is no unsubscribe button in account management, you have to contact customer care which is stupid, why? I have tried twice with zero response. Unsubscribe me from the app
Love the app, but needs one fix
Are you going to ever unlock all workouts for a particular week? I can’t always do the workouts in the order provided due to different equipment issues. I would like to be able to move the workouts around during the week and not have workouts locked.
Looks promising
Hey David love the look of the app but every time I go too buy the subscription the app seems too crash. Hope this gets fixed soon can’t wait too get Beastly
The Best App Ever!!!
I been using this fitness app for almost a year now. So far this is the best beastly app I ever use in the gym! It can track my progress with my body and my nutrition. It brings me more challenges in the workout routine. The workout plans change my life around to gain more muscle and lean physique. I highly recommend to level up your gains!
App Released with Bugs
The app’s payment options say “null per undefined”. The app is also incredibly glitchy and crashes frequently. Not going to subscribe because of a bad first impression.
Amazing Price/Value BUT...
Most fitness apps either exclusively meal/diet track, give recipes or just give you your workout plan. Beastly does everything for you. For the same price as the other apps. Making its price/value unbeatable. However... I have had some trouble with losing my workout data. Some workouts just randomly get erased making me have ti go back and put in all my data again by memory and pray its close to what I had actually done when it tracked my data. But that skews the customization aspect of thats app because it adapts to your data to give you your next workout... so when the data is skewed... so are my workouts...
