What people like
- Kids love the cute chick characters
- Great for learning Spanish and English songs
- Safe content without annoying video ads
- Parents appreciate diverse cultural representation
What they complain about
- You have to pay to actually use it
- No version available for Android or Kindle devices

- Games get boring and lack variety quickly
Fantastic for Spanish learning
Love this app for both of my kids to learn Spanish. Cute chicks too.
Not learning
There wasn’t a mix of English and Spanish you have to choose which. Teaching stranger danger that it’s because mom will get mad instead of safety is awful. Not sticking around to see if it gets better.
Reminds me of cocomelon stuff
Maybe my dad thinks about it, maybe he doesn’t. But I know what I can do with this app!
Must pay to use
Can’t even try it without signing up to pay. Looked like it would be cute
Buggy. We can’t log in or get response from support
We loved this app and my kids have been begging for it but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get logged in again. I’ve canceled and changed email addresses. I’ve reached out to support. We miss you Canticos.
I love this app!!!
We’re raising our daughter primary in Spanish in the USA and it’s hard to find good educational content that she can relate to! This app is spectacular! Really well made and I love that you can set your primary language to Spanish! Highly recommended!!
Thought it was free
Have them my email and then was informed I had to pay. Cool idea though
More Advanced Content Needed
The app is very well designed and I really like the interactive nature of the books. We used the app through the free trial for my daughter who is just turning 3. My biggest issue with the app is that the game content is far below what my daughter needs. She knows all her numbers, colors, letters, and shapes in Spanish and English. I can see the videos already on YouTube, so there really isn’t a benefit for me to pay to access those and some books. This could be a really great app if there is just a bit more vocabulary content added.
We LOVE Canticos but…
The app is NOT worth the price. Review from a toddler mom and primary school Dual Language Educator. The bulk of it is videos. I do not want need to pay for my child to sit and watch videos. The website mentioned educational games “updated monthly” however, I have not seen any updates to the games. Remove the star ratings! Young children do not need the added dose of dopamine for completing a game. Also, provide an option for the speed of the bubbles in the games. They go way too fast! I really do hope more games are added ( without the star ratings). Games that both aide in language development and key foundational skills such as letter sounds, numbers, patterns, colors, etc. Please add more games that require critical thinking! Canticos is great but, so much more can be done with this app.
Sound Not Working
I have this downloaded on my iPad mini and the sound isn’t working at all.
A few people gave this game a 1 stars
The people that gave this game a 1 star didn’t really like this but I do!🙂
Had potential
My son loves Canticos and i was excited for this game but sadly it wasn't what i was hoping. the games themselves are fun but often glitch so have to restart the app. Also they get boring quick since they don't have variations for example when it says to pop a bubble in the bathtub game irs always the same letter. it should switch it up Also for the instrument one it should've let you actually "play" one of the instruments. That's just a few issues. Hoping in the figure it gets updated to add more. Sadly after this month ends I will be canceling since my son loses interest in it quickly.
There’s no sound so far
We love Canticos!!! Maybe it’s me but is there a trick to the sound? We can’t hear anything yet.
Cute app, but teases you
This app is built upon a wonderful idea, but of course it requires a subscription to play it at all. It teases you by letting you create an account before it states that you need a subscription. Yes, it does say that it’s subscription-based in the app description, but it’s at the very bottom on purpose.
Won’t work on my iPad
I downloaded the game for my son on my phone and he loves it but I tried to download it on the iPad Pro and it stars but it won’t work can you help
My kids love this app!
As a parent of 5 kids, I will tell you that education is near and dear to my heart. We don’t speak Spanish as a family but I believe that bilingual education is so important. My kids love this app. This is an app that my kids use everyday and is one that I know is safe for my kids. It’s an app that is teaching my kids. Thank you Encantos for making this app!
Hate it
I purchased the one month and created an account but it won’t even let me log in. Try to log out and redo but didn’t get anywhere
Fun but very long
I want to try to get in but it’s loading very long.
Disappointed
I only had it for the trial period of 7 days. Maybe the locked features are actually fun educational but I wasn’t convinced enough to subscribe. There are cheaper apps out there that are equally as educational and enjoyable for my toddler. We love Nicki, Rick, and Kiki but I felt that they just took the songs and categorized them.

Great app!
No sound
I have been paying for the subscription and the sounds on the iPad isn’t working.
Make it available on Kindle Fire
My kids adore this app and as a parent, I think it’s amazing as well. All the interaction in English and then Spanish is great for them!! My biggest complaint is that this app is not available for the Kindle Fire which I would say is the most popular tablet for kids. iPads are great but I’m not dishing out hundreds of dollars for one, let alone two of them for my girls. I even followed directions on how to get Google Play on my Kindle Fire and was super excited because I thought this app would work fine since it’s available there but it says this version is not compatible. My Kindle is fairly new, less than 2 years old so it’s not an update issue. Super disappointed because I would have paid for the year subscription but cancelled after my free trial because they only have access through my phone and I’m not letting them use that either. Please update so it’s available to the Kindle Fire!
Please make available for Android
My son loves Canticos but unfortunately his tablet is an Android please make this available for Android I’m sure many more people would download !!
20 month old loves this app
My daughter is 20 months old is obsessed with the Canticos videos on YouTube so this app is a must! It’s perfect for watching the songs on the go and without the ads too. She doesn’t understand the games yet but she loves the coloring feature. This app saves me every time I cut her nails or like today, at the DMV. Highly recommend!
No sound on app for iPad
Can someone assist me with this ? There’s no sound on the app when I download it on my daughters IPAD
The perfect blend of play, education & culture
This app is amazing for preschool-aged kids (and even older kids too)! Canticos does a wonderful job of creating engaging content that kids love and that introduces them to beloved characters and songs from the Spanish-speaking world. Not to mention that they are learning Spanish and English too! I couldn’t recommend it more. ¡Tienes que probarla! 🐣
Audio is not working
No funciona el sonido de la app
Awesome!
Finally a media company that caters to all races and traditions. My family can see themselves and it is awesome. They are learning and being highly entertained. I couldn’t have asked for a better app. Thank you Canticos <3.
Just Make It A Purchasable App
I thought this was going to be free since… it is, and of course I figured there’d be some in-app purchases available but we’d still be able to use a free version of the app. But once you create an account, you can’t actually login without paying something. What’s the point? Just make it an app you have to pay for to save everyone’s time. What a let-down.
Kudos! We love learning Spanish with Canticos!
This is one of those apps you need to use for a while to appreciate how amazing it is. Even for an old timer like me, watching my kids learn Spanish helps me too — kudos to those who made this and looking forward to more valuable content!! A+++
Horrible
Everything was horrible make it available on more things and the sound fix it picture horrible
Update means no more free content
My daughter loves “the chickies” and we were able to get by on just the free content, but it’s not available anymore. Love educational apps (she has Khan Academy Kids and PBS Kids Games which are both free), but really wanted something to encourage her Spanish. The subscription price is just too much for us. Edited to Add: The developer reached out to us and glad for their communication. My daughter is happy to have her “chickies” again.
The app won’t override Lock Screen
This app won’t override my Lock Screen, which is different than most other streaming media apps. This makes it such an annoying experience when my kids are trying to watch videos. Completely takes away the experience. Please fix or update.
