Personal Data over reach
The app asks you to link your bank account so that it can review your transactional data and use your Experian account. For just onboarding I feel this is an over reach, before you can even test out the app it’s asking for your most personal details. Complete madness.

I have been using Sprive for almost 2 months. The app is really good. I love the concept. However when you are stood waiting to pay the app is a little slow at times and this has caused me to just pay via my debit card rather then buy the gift card
No barcode=faff
The checkout assistant has to faff about typing in the card code. This is 2026! Come on. Low friction please.
Great idea BUT…
did my shop in Tesco, got to the till, loaded up the balance and then waited in the shop for 20 minutes as the voucher didn’t arrive (still haven’t got the voucher & I’m home on wifi!) … will try in other supermarkets but first impressions matter!

Typo
Made a typo on email address, now I literally can’t sign in or create account as there is no option to modify. Even deleting app and reinstalling brings up my typo email address with no way to change
Cool concept but would like more progress visibility
Love the concept, love how easy it is to use and link up to mortgage. But my primary interest is in chipping away at the mortgage and there isn’t really any view to show what I’ve contributed so far and the impact of that.

Few technical issues can’t connect bank. Have to email to sort the issue no one to speak to.

No support
There is no support when things don’t work. I bought a grocery gift card for over £50 it would not work. The store say Sprive should refund Sprive say it’s the store. Meanwhile I’m the one £50 down. Site is a CON.
Great app
Love the improvements in the app as it is now a lot quicker and easier to use at the till in shops. The only downside is Amazon is no longer and option to use
Good idea but flawed process
Be careful buying the gift card at check out like they recommend for an accurate value. Twice I’ve done this at Tesco but the gift card takes up to 24 hours to load. Do today I bought my £186 (non refundable) Tesco voucher at the check out after my shop, kept trying to pay with the voucher but it was declined. I then had to just pay £186 via my bank, so that meant I had £372 going out of my bank instead of the £186, it meant I paid double and now have an £186 voucher in my Sprive app. Stupidly this was the second time this happened as I thought last week it had been an error so tried again today. I won’t be doing that again, major hassle and embarrassment at the check out / and far too much money out of my bank in one day.
New to Sprive
Seems to be a good idea but the processes are quite confusing and the monies displayed don’t seem to reflect useages
Love this app
This app is great to chip away at your mortgage debt. Purchase store cards gift vouchers and commission is added to your pot to pay towards mortgage. It's easy to make extra payments too off mortgage. Also you can win cash in their prize draws I've won £30. Enter IJFJI673 when sign up for bonus .
Poor customer service
I had problems signing up to Sprive. I have emailed customer service on a number of occasions and nobody could be bothered to reply. I feel that this is a lucky escape as I don’t think I would trust these cowboys any near my bank details.
it’s good, but annoying
I use this regularly. But why does it have to ask me to enter my Mortgage detail details every single time I open it? To make matters worse today it made me update the app before I could use it. Not ideal waiting to update an app when there is a queue behind you at a till?

I like it but don’t understand why I can’t save on all of the brands unless someone signs up to my referral code it doesn’t seem fair
So easy, it’d be silly not to
I kept putting off downloading this for whatever reason and I’m kicking myself, we spent so much on new furniture when we moved and could have easily just got some money towards our mortgage for it - but didn’t 🤦🏻♀️ It’s just so so easy, anything I go to buy, I quickly check if the brand is in Sprive. The fact my weekly shop and Disney+ subscription can contribute is great. So simple!
Poor design
App locked me out of the app until I verify my mortgage with no warning during a Tesco transaction, I couldn’t use the Tesco voucher id just purchased. Really poor experience, really stupid design.
Limited Supported Current Accounts
It’s a great idea and pretty easy to use but You can only verify your identity through your current account but there are limitations as to how many banks they have agreements with. Can’t even use my Co-Op account. Apparently my earnings don’t expire so hoping more banks get added soon.
Wish I knew
Literally, I wish I knew before I started spending money on everyday goods and not getting anything back for it. It sounds too good to be true, but I’ve seen it.
Good idea FAQ’s could be clearer
I like this app. Using the vouchers it has already helped me to knock time from my offset mortgage balance alongside the regular savings I add to the offset savings. I do feel the FAQ’s could be more accessible in the app. It’s not clear for example that the auto save feature doesn’t begin until 2 months in, I’d been excited checking to watch the cash get taken and the balance go down further. The chatbot isn’t bad either, it’s much better than other’s I’ve used. It would be good if the chatbot could provide links to terms and co dictions in its response, people like me enjoy the small print. It’s only little things here and there I would improve but on the whole I’m excited to start getting this mortgage paid off quicker.

LOVE IT
This app is a game changer. What’s not to love? You shop either online or in store, earn rewards and chip away at the mortgage with those rewards. Genius. Only downside for me is faffing at tills to load the cards as I prefer to pay exact amount, but this is a preference on my part. The cards can be loaded before shopping. Any issues have always been rectified straight away by the Sprive Team.
