Difficult to navigate
This App is not intuitive. It takes much playing with it to learn how to navigate.
Brilliant app
The app is very useful and helps you plan your section easily. The rate 4 because l would have like the following: Once you save a section, you have to amend the next section location before you can amend the previous one. It would have been good when you click on the locations, you can still see all locations. It would also good to see the elevation and descent alongside the distance on the overview planner.

I’m in the middle of the camino near Burgos. Why can’t I easily go there to plan tomorrow’s walk except on the map, which shows nothing?

Habe die App früher gerne benutzt. Heute nicht mehr. Zu viel Schnickschnack, bunte Bildchen, Anmeldung erforderlich. Nicht im Sinne des Erfinders. Dies ist der zweite Versuch eine Rezension zu verfassen, die erste hat wohl nicht gefallen.

Frustrated
This app makes me pull my hair out. I created a plan to walk the French Camino from St Jean Pied de Port and when I update details in a later stage it continually moves the updated later date to the beginning of the plan messing up the entire plan; this continues to happen even though the app is updated. To top it off I just deleted a stage that was in the wrong place and the whole plan has disappeared.
First time walker
The app was very helpful for planning our pilgrimage. We were easily able to determine the town we wanted to walk to and where to stay. Overall I recommend the app. Some areas of improvement, the mileage seemed to start from the center of town you started in to the center of town you ended in, I would have also liked the distance from albergue to albergue. It would have been more useful data during planning. Moving through the app could be clunky, if I wanted to see the elevation I had to back out of the map to open it. Rather than showing the current day on top you had to scroll down to it each time you opened the app. The pricing for a nights stay at the different albergues was outdated.

Quan vas a vore el perfil te’l teau en vertical i si li dius ampliar per vore’l horitzontal, et posa baix uns números q se solapen i no es veu res. El desnivell q et posa no és el real en cap etapa. Està desproporcionat. La ruta t’envia per alternatives diferents. Descarregat BUEN CAMINO o GRONZE que són molt millors

It would be great to have some features like FarOut has. Your daily route can be recorded and saved. Hikers can make comments at any marker on trail; good or bad places to visit or avoid, eat, stay, etc.

You are gonna need to fix this
This needs to be fixed and updated. A lot of the accommodations were very wrong in each town. We planned to get lunch in a town with a lot of stuff in the app( cafes and restaurants), and there was three buildings with nothing. Between Samos, Spain and Sarria, Spain, there is absolutely no accommodations. No water, no food, no bathrooms. The app told us that there would be many accommodations. I was so hungry and it was terrible. Please reevaluate what accommodations are in each town, otherwise this app is very useful.

Easy to maneuver
The app gives a planning option. It should be done before the trip. Safe lots of headaches. Daily traveling altitude changes and distances in KM.. try to be knowledgeable of km and altitude changes in traveling.. it makes it essier knowing expected traveling. Lodging availability with locations in map near or far from El Camino. The first day from french camino, bad signal Pirineos problem. Plan ahead. Buen Camino my Friends!
Norte disappeared
I was enjoying using this app and appears since the last update, it no longer include the Norte route.
Outdated
Die meisten aktuellen Routen fehlen beim Camino de Portugues Costa. Ein Wechseln ist nicht möglich. Außerdem jedes mal wenn man auf die App schaut, muss zuerst das Schüttel Popup geschlossen werden. Plus Punkt gibt es, weil man sich nicht unnötig anmelden muss Edit: Es gibt wenn man beim Schüttel Popup runterscrollt die Option es zu deaktivieren. Die richtige Route wurde mir schlussendlich von anderen Pilgern gezeigt. Der Name ist nicht offensichtlich. Vorschlag: Routen über die Karte anzeigen und auswählbar machen.

Doesn’t work on variants
The app works well unless a variant is offered and you want to take it. We are on the Via Francegena now and variants aren’t an option for us, so useless unless on main route

Great route finder!
Extremely reliable and precise in finding the way. Very helpful offline and online. For 5* and more comfort I would wish to have more information about where I am as well as active links from places indicated in the map to getting more information. Leaving the map view and going to list is not handy. As said this is the comfort part.
Confusing
I can’t seem to figure out how to add the next place to stay, and move on. I was hoping that the application would be intuitive since there are no directions.
User beware
The mileage is incorrect about 100% of the time. I’m not sure how the distance is measured but it not even close. Everything else is great for planning just double check the distances.

The plan that can be created with the map and terrain is great. The terrain and climb that can be seen from the terrain map help me to prepare for the trip.
Nicht intuitiv und funktional hakelig
Mich überzeugt die App nicht. Ich finde sie nicht intuitiv, Routen zu finden ist super schwierig wenn man nicht genau weiß wie sie heißen. Bei jedem Start wird eine „alte“ Route/ Etappe angezeigt. Man kann zwar Routen vorplanen aber dann muss man immer bei den Tag auswählen. Anwendung macht so keinen Spaß.
Best app I found for planning a Camino.
Literally everything I need. Stages, elevation gains. Hotel suggestions everything about facilities. Pretty amazing and I’m able to make an entire Camino plan and see it all together in one place by saving it with a name.
Useful app on the Camino
This app is great at showing you the route and where you are on it. It would be nice if it would tell you how far away your destination is from your current location. Would be even better if it would show you the location of bars and restaurants. It's hard marrying it with google maps for that info. It can also be a bit misleading eg I said our destination was Chafé which is one of the options it gives you but the route doesn't go through Chafé so we were merrily following the route assuming it would take us there.

Newer isn’t better
Sadly some of the new updates seem to have removed/disabled the functionality of the map. Versions only show the route and nothing else, no landmarks/albergues/etc…I tried reaching out for assistance without luck
Great app
Fantastic app! I love the little arrows pointing the direction on the camino and all of the useful information along the way. It was a lifesaver.
Overall Helpful
A pretty good app for the Camino. My only issue was that the Portuguese coastal route was wrong when entering Spain as the actual route goes through Caminha to A Guarda not through Valenca and Tui. This is reflected on the Litoral route but if you aren’t taking the litoral route it’s confusing! Definitely easy to find accommodations and towns with this app!!

I would love to be able to customise my route. Rather than picking either the central or costal Portuguese Route, I would like to be able to customise my route where I plan to cross over halfway through
Indispensable and getting even better
When I walked my last Camino in spring 2026 Camino Ninja was an indispensable aid. This app helped me plan my stages and its support for multiple plans enabled me to try different staging options. I really liked the ability to choose and display where I would stay in each town. The app’s data is frequently updated which gave me confidence I was seeing current not outdated information. And the development team is constantly adding more routes and many more helpful features. I would not walk a Camino without Camino Ninja. Highly recommended.
Erste Wahl beim Jakobsweg
Hat mit mir bei der Streckenführung und den weiteren Informationen sehr gut geholfen. Etwas störend ist in der Karte der automatische Zoom auf den Standort wenn man herrausgezoomt hat. Das wurde mit einem Button „Zentrieren“ wie es in Googlemaps zu finden ist viel besser funktionieren.
Good, but could be so much more.
This app, like Buen Camino, is just okay. You can select where you are starting, and where you are going. It will show you what will be at each stop. But, not on the map. You have to jump back and forth to your route to see what’s available. Hostel in this village, great! Where is it? Ninja is silent as no location shows on the map. Open map, you can see here you are. Great! Let’s zoom out so we can get a fuller view of where we’ve been and what’s coming. No, says the ninja. you must always look at where you are as it forcefully zooms back in. So for route planning, a “C”. As a great Camino App, “D”.

It would be so helpful if you included some sode rd names (when you zoom in) and some indication of scale for distance along the line.

Doesn’t allow to plan ahead
Just one minor issue with the app: it is constantly forcing the map to centre on my current location. I was trying to build the route for a summer trip half world away from my current location, and the app kept re-centring me to my current spot despite of the map I chose. There was nothing I could do to prevent it, until completely forbid the app to read my location. Which was very annoying, cause I had to leave the app and search for settings. Could you please let people to explore the routes despite of where they are now?
