Love this app
I really love this app been using it for a few years now, they have consistently changed a lot in the app for the better, I have one small critique that I wish that they would change. After reading the devotional, it will take you to a devotional discussion, every time that I go to the devotional discussion, it is not relevant to the devotional itself which is kind of offputting. I think it would be awesome if you guys could correct this. Other than that, I think this app is very well put together.
Hurt by your application
I have been consistently connecting and doing daily devotionals for more than 1,360 days. My current streak is 1,362 consecutive days and you removed all the prayers, stories, daily walks with God, music and a lot of beautiful things that I had access to. I feel hurt and betrayed.
very good but…
very nice app and very nice UI but…i don’t like that there is a pay wall…i am glad that it is not mandatory and you can still use the app in a very good manor
Enjoying updates, except…
Enjoying the new updates, but do not like the push to reserve the Christian smart ring. I want to get away from that when I am using the app.
Good
I enjoy the app, but not since they want you to pay to be able to listen to it.
Glorifying him daily 🙏
This App has a Remarkable way of wonderfully keeping one’s focus and perspective on our God filled purpose . The Narrators voice I find to be very therapeutic . This App keeps me focused on Gods word and the wonderful role that I’ve been created for a purpose in Gods Grand Redemption plan to restore the world . I truly recommend this app for everyone who’s looking to grow in their spiritual journey. I wouldn’t know a day without it. My favorite app 😇
Ring
Can you please stop constantly showing me ads for the ring? I’m happy with the app and have no interest in purchasing a ring. It’s frustrating to see the promotion every time I open the app. Users should have the option to dismiss or opt out of promotions for products they don’t want. The app notifications are more than enough for me.
Recommend 👍
This app is GREAT for learning more about Christ I totally recommend this app, the one tiny flaw is that u have to pay for some things but they are optional so that’s good 👍
Disappointing Changes
I’ve used and loved this app for a long time because of its free daily devotional that I’m able to listen to while I get ready for work each morning. But recently they suddenly, without warning, put a subscription charge of £4.99 on it. This is so disappointing. Even more disappointing is that when I commented my disappointment on their instagram page, instead of messaging me about it, they just deleted the comment and ignored me. Such a shame as it was such a great devotional app made available to anyone. But not anymore!
It’ll work
I wanted something for daily reading that was free of course. This is fine , it works , concept is there but there’s a lot of stupid clicking … it’s a busy platform. So I can’t imagine I’ll survive long and will end up paying for something. Still probably not this app.
It’s changed my walk with God
Thank you so much
Glorify Ring????
I enjoy having a quick devotional in the morning that’s makes it succinct and easy to get to amidst a busy day. I opened it this morning and saw an ad for the Glorify Ring. It feels like such a gimmick. A lot of the things that they advertise its use for, can be done on the phone in a voice notes app (recording a prayer or sermon, reminders for devotional). Nudging a friend? Send a text or call if led, if you’re praying for someone!! This feels so dystopian to create a “need” for things that doesn’t exist. While it may help with faith habits, it just feels like a cash grab :(
My reason:
10/10 content. The daily devotional is one of my favourite parts of the day. I’ve given it 4 stars though. My reason? The app sometimes features quotes from heretical “teachers”. My concerns with this is for new believers who may lack discernment and go and listen to their teachings.
Super disappointed
I have been a user of glorify for years, so it comes with sadness that I will have to delete this app. My daily communication and meditation with God has come from this app every morning for the past couple of years. I usually listen to the devotions every morning on my way to work, but this will be no longer. Putting into effect that you need to buy a membership to be able to listen to the devotions… but don’t worry since you have to pay for it someone else will be able to listen to it for free? Greed is running and destroying our world, never thought I would have to pay to listen to a devotional. Back to the Bible app I go. Disappointed in glorify, and so sad that I have been a user for years and now I have to delete this app.
Praise be to God in the highest
I like this app , overall good app but I do not like the fact of the glorify ring you are advertising, not only are you trying to do the holy spirit’s job but you are also using AI which is of satan and the bible in revelation talks about this, so explain how you are for God but using the tools of the opposition? I may have to delete the app due to this infraction, we draw closer to God through the Holy Spirit, AI is not the Holy Spirit. Yeshua would not approve of this.
Agradecimiento
Agradezco a Dios y a las personas que con dedicación administran esta app que ha sido de tanta bendición para mi vida
I didn’t like when they suddenly put a subscription to listen to
I used to love this App and help me through my lows. I will listen to it in the morning on my way to work but suddenly they want to pay for subscription. Which make me really sad and deleted the app.
App apresentando erro
Gracias
Love this app but hate that you have to pay for a “glorify plus” option
I use this app often but I hate that in order to have more, you have to pay.
Magnificent App
The daily devotionals are structured in a way that helps me understand and reflect on God’s word. I look forward to each new day. Glorify helps me stay faithful in prayer and connection to our Lord.
Everything now is money
Im upset because the app used to be better and now e everything is extra cost . You need to pay if you want to watch a video . The Jesus message it was supposed to be free for everybody.
Gracias
More user centred design needed
As a newbie, this seemed like a great app to begin with … however it’s actually become a barrier as many of the content is now on part of the plus subscription. I totally understand certain content being premium, but even simple things like ‘listen’ to passage or daily walk with God, the audio supports users with accessible needs and preferences or neurodivergent. This app now EXCLUDES these users. Although there is a sponsorship program in place, basic features should not be a barrier and I hope as the app develops they look to review this and become more user-centric and develop at took that supports user needs rather than labelling them as ‘premium need’.
Was great now limited unless a subscription
I started using glorify when it was relatively new and found it fantastic. Then they introduced a “mindful walk” type of thing that I didn’t really enjoy especially as they took out or hid the main devotional. This was re introduced and additional devotions were added. I tried the subscription service but didn’t really find the additional bits useful to me, others may find them really useful. Now over the last year, other core bits ( like catching up on missed sessions, listening rather than reading) have migrated to the subscription service. I suppose this isn’t uncommon, but is making it harder to maintain the themes. Still think it of a good app, I suppose I am tainted by it being better for me in the past.
Glorify
Para mí es de mucha el Poder leer estos devocionales me han sido de gran ayuda para mantenerme más cerca de Dios cada día y seguir aprendiendo acerca de Su Palabra
Money
When an app designed to preach the word of God is valued at over £250 Million, and has a pay wall behind even the most basic features, it makes you question things. Sadly, it’s not surprising that that the the biggest spiritual app on the store is a Christian one and is driven only by profits. This app represents everything that is wrong with organised religion. A quick Look into the companies finances will tell you this. I’m glad this app brings people closer to god, it’s a shame it has to do so behind a paywall. I’ll stick to my bible for now. Good luck.
Great but pricey
I LOVE everything this app has to offer, however I think the subscription price should be much lower (maybe $2 per month). At $80 for the year, it’s more than a new physical bible. I think they would actually make MORE money if it was cheaper because more people would be willing to pay. I completely understand that the work of keeping an app like this so amazing needs to cost money though so I am all for contributing something.
Good but priced out
Using Glorify now feels a bit like looking at a car I once drove and loved every day — only to find it’s been priced out of reach. I used to rely on this app regularly and found so much value in its simplicity and daily encouragement. But now, with the shift to a $70 USD annual subscription, it feels like something meant for everyone has become exclusive. There was a time when, if you wanted a devotional, you’d walk into a Christian bookstore and pick up a book or CD. You’d pay maybe $25 to $75 and have something forever— no ongoing payments, no subscriptions. Glorify, while it does offer much more in terms of content that’s being updated, now over five years would cost $350 USD! That’s a big ask, especially when many of us won’t use even half of what’s included. I get that apps cost money to build and maintain, and I don’t expect everything to be free. But I wish there were more flexible options — like a one-time purchase or a more affordable tier — especially for longtime users who were around when the app felt more like a ministry than a product. So for now, I’m going back to reading the Word the old-fashioned way — so honestly, can’t say I’m not thankful for what it did for me in the end.
My opinion
Some years ago this app was the best, you could choose option to listen and now you can do just some things but if you pay for it.
Blessed
It’s the absolute best.
Money money money
For the vast majority of content this app promises you need to pay for you get the daily devotionals (which you can’t look back on) and a handful of podcasts not to mention the lack of bible translations. People should not be profiting off of people wanting to grow their faith I’d recommend “the bible app” it offers pretty much all the same things but everything’s free (to my knowledge)
Good Devotional App but don’t like this last update
Glorify has truly helped me reconnect with my faith, and for nearly 1,000 days, it’s been a meaningful part of my daily devotion. The consistency helped keep me accountable, and the audio devotionals made it easy to stay engaged—especially on difficult days. Unfortunately, the recent update has completely disrupted my routine. I’m no longer able to access the basic daily devotionals without being prompted to pay, and the water drops I earned over time have disappeared. After maintaining a long and proud streak, it feels like all of that progress is just… gone. This might seem small to some, but for those of us who relied on that rhythm, it’s deeply discouraging. I also introduced the app to several friends—many of whom prefer listening over reading—and audio access was what kept them committed to their spiritual journey. I truly believe Glorify should reconsider making at least the core devotional audio freely accessible. Faith should be available to everyone, and this change risks shutting out those who need it most.
what on earth?
I have used this app since 2023 because i loved the incorporation of biblical sleeping stories because i had trouble sleeping. and then i loved the daily devotionals and listening to them cause it meant i could multitask. the daily walks with jesus was a unique feature that blended of meditation and prayer. suddenly you couldn’t do either of those without a paid subscription. its actually so disappointing to see a christian company that has a huge active community being devoted to the Lord and being bombarded with a padlock behind every feature. Now listening to the devotionals, sleeping stories, revisiting past devotionals and even song of the day is under a plus subscription. I hope the company enjoy all their profits.
You’ll be paying for everything
I first got Glorify when you could have access to multiple feature but soon enough, I fear some will her to pay just to download this app!! I noticed things slowly being put behind a pay wall and now the last thing that is left free is reading the daily devotional. I loved having it read to me and just meditate on the word. But it’s a luxury now to have this feature. It’s a great app. It’s just disappointing to see how quickly it blew up in popularity and how developers saw that as an opportunity for profit rather than for discipleship. I understand some feature need to be paid for just for sustainability of the app. Great! Make features that warrant payment from users. But soon enough, this app will be a “try free for 7 days”… disappointing
Very life changing for me.
I became closer with God because of the devotionals. And the verse of the day.
Monetisation
Sad to see that you have to pay to access this app now, I have used this app for the longest time & now requesting subscription. I might have to delete as it’s of no use if not accessible!
Disappointed
I am disappointed in the new changes not allowing me to listen to the scriptures and devotionals but only read them. Also the daily walk with God is gone from the daily devotion. Feels like forcing to get the plus. So sad as I have enjoyed this app for years and unlocked many things with the water drops.
It’s gone downhill.
When I first joined, almost everything was free. I didn’t mind the update last year that much, as I know that the team needs to be supported. However, this last update was just not necessary. The daily walk with God feature (which is now soon to be locked) is the thing that has most helped me in my walk with God in this app and other than that there’s not much to set this app apart from any other devotional app. It is sad to see that the focus of the app has turned from helping users grow in their faith to instead now just another money-hungry app. I personally have no way I can afford the subscription, no matter the cost, and now you are locking almost every unique feature behind a paywall.
A lot has changed
Stopped using this app a couple months ago, and started using it again. A lot has changed, wouldn’t say it’s the best either. I get it’s a subscription and improving the app. But taking away the most BASIC and simple thing that people SHOULD get for FREE is a bit much. Things like audio on daily devotionals. Not everyone has they eye sight to see, or can read. Going back previous days incase we’ve missed a day. How do you expect us to catch up on the weekly theme? Going back to devotionals that’s been favourited, how are we going to revisit a devotional that’s helped us? Stuff like that. Comparing this app to other bible apps, at least these necessities are free. If you actually cared about people getting closer to God and learning more about him, you’d remove these simple things everyone should be able to access.
Monetised faith
It's always sad to see the gospel being used to drive personal gain. The app received $40 million in Series A funding. "It’s the most incredible commercial opportunity. It’s going to be, I think, far bigger than people realize." "I believe the engaged audience that we will have will probably have a higher propensity to pay for all sorts of other products that we release. That cool daily worship product will [continue to] be in the Glorify app... but [we think we can] take that audience and direct them to other products that we’ve created, where they’ll have high propensity to pay." (Source: founder interview with TechCrunch)
amazing
a great app for new and mature christians. please add NLT reading version and iPad support!
Disappointed
I have loved this app so much. It’s my favourite devotional app. However, I am hugely disappointed that the new updates will remove some features from the free users. As a student I can’t afford to pay, and I was fine with being limited in my options before. However seeing that I will not be able to listen to my devotional anymore or do walk with God for free is very disappointing. These are the main features I use as a busy student and with them gone from free access I don’t think I’ll be using this app anymore. You guys have created an awesome app. However, removing these features from free users feels disingenuous.
Premium subscription…
I really want to give this 5 stars, and last year I would have no questions asked, but now I simply can’t because so much of the app has been put behind a subscription service. While I understand the team behind this needs a budget to be able to keep pushing out content for this app, and I would have been ok if just the standard ‘listen’ functions were paid for; it’s the removal of the daily walk for free users that really brings this down to 3 stars. That was such an important feature for me, and it seems like many other users aswell, so I’m quite disappointed that it’s locked behind a premium subscription now that many cannot afford.
Time with the Lord
This app has given me more time with the Lord and time to meditate on His word while also reading the Bible. I absolutely LOVE that I have become closer to Him!
So disappointed
I’ve been using this app for a very long time to get myself up in the morning, and now you’ve put the majority of the daily stuff behind a paywall.
Song of the day
I am loving the new changes to the app! I am glad you added the quote of the day back to the Home Screen. I am wondering if you can put the words to the song of the day on the screen while it is playing? That way we can sing along and worship our Heavenly Father 🙌🏼 Thank you for offering this app to us free of charge! I use it everyday and it has been a blessing to me! Melanie
Not a fan of the AI music
App itself it good, but the AI music is TERRIBLE and just plain creepy. Also, other aspects of the app seem like AI as well and just lack creativity a human would have - furthermore, I worry about trusting things made with AI since things are so often taken out of context and Frankenstein’ed together rather than the artful, cohesive way a human would collect data. The AI alone is enough to make me stop using it - I would rather learn Bible from real people, even if it’s archives of teachers of have passed.
sleep stories
There are very few. Would appreciate many more. The current ones are good to very good however only about 10 do far for this year. Would be nice to see a new one every week!
