Lots of issues. Only buy month by month
No automatic off switch if vpn fails. And the vpn will fail. You will be connected to a server and then you will check which one and that server will have vanished and youll just be disconnected. Instead of this thing switching you to a different server. Thanks a lot. So mullvad has been advertising so heavily that they have gotten too big for their britches. I deal with constant captchas and human verification bs. Not to mention that the sf servers are so worthless. That when you use them you get flagged by every app. And have to deal with age verification bs. Mullvad has jumped the shark by becoming too big and its just not practical for day to day stuff. Probably won’t buy another month. Whatever you do, dont buy more than one month at a time because i anticipate their service becoming even worse and no amount of yearly discount will make it worth it. If this company cant be clever and be a good vpn. We will take our money elsewhere
Please warn people that VPN is out of time!
Ugh, I am so frustrated. I just wasted all day long trying to figure out why my iPad is blocked from the internet. I usually check my VPN, but I have had ZERO problems with Mullvad. I finally realize the problem is that Mullvad defaults to blocking everything when you are out of time. Would’ve been nice to have some type of notification. Despite this, Mullvad has been the best VPN I’ve used.

Won’t connect, at least before it would connect despite getting blocked anywhere and everywhere
Frustrating
I find it so frustrating that you can only have it on five devices originating from your home IP. It wouldn’t be as bad if I could easily figure out which device is which name. It's not like it lets you choose a name or give a clue. If I knew which device was on the l could temporarily remove it so that I could turn it on on for another device. Many people have many devices at home. The limit should be at least 10 devices, as long as they're originating from the same Home IP. Obviously so that people aren’t sharing with people not in that home. Of course I’m only speaking from the point of view of a home network. I guess there would have to be a different limit for mobile devices

Yikes
Gave it a try on a recommendation from a user who swore by it. I never once had success with this vpn, the only reason I have it two stars was because it was so cheap I could spare to lose the money I spent on “services”.
"Internal Error"
Trying to log in on iPhone app and it says login failed - internal error. I don't have more than 1 device in my account currently and yet even after an uninstall and reboot still nothing. Suggestions?
The ONLY one to pass
To date, this is the only vpn to pass my own integrity testing and scrutiny. I’ve spent years testing vpns one at a time and this is the only one to do so. I can’t even begin to express how meaningful this is. Thank you guys for making a product that is powerful, accessible, trustworthy, and affordable. I recommend it often.
Not working on iOS
Have been a customer for over 3 years and have never had an issue until now. The app has just stopped working completely on both my iOS devices with no explanation or way to recoup the time I’ve paid for. Infinitely loads on every network I’ve tried.
Great VPN
Love the VPN but the last few updates are destroying the battery on my phone.
Bring back OpenVPN support!
Since removing OpenVPN support I have been unable to use Mullvad consistently. Wireguard connections get blocked by businesses much more frequently meaning the app cannot connect to any servers. I mullvad's position that OpenVPN is less secure but none of that matters if wireguard is easily blocked and you can't connect to the service!
Can we get a free option with watching ads?

Better than terrific
I held off on getting a VPN for almost a decade. Mainly because I couldn’t decide. After using Mullvad for a few weeks I can honestly say it’s better than terrific.
Payments
lack when it comes to payments and does not help there customers fix it
one of if not the best
recommended, minus one star as a vote to improve gaming performance while connected to vpn, I get really high ping or lag spikes suddenly and it would be cool to see the ping from me to the server and some routing options could be interesting, split tunneling doesn't work with some steam games(tested apex, I'm assuming the anti cheat is the issue). I have been using mullvad for a while now and gaming is the only issue I have with it so I highly recommend.
Too Slow
I have gigabit internet, I know when videos buffer its because of mullvad. It is not a set and forget vpn experience
Owner supports alt right groups. But app is Okayish.
Overall I like the app. There are issues with latency which is to be expected from a VPN. but sometimes on certain servers packet loss and latency is excessive, also I have difficulty connecting to servers sometimes, so bad I’ll need to restart the phone to connect.

Drained my battery
I’ve been using Mullvad on both my phone and laptop for several years, and generally like it. It’s obviously well-priced and prioritizes privacy, even though it’s pretty annoying that it’s frequently blocked by Google and Reddit. However, I have a fairly new iPhone with very good battery life and I do notice it randomly getting hot. Most egregiously, a couple nights ago, I went to bed with 48% battery. Usually when I do that, I’ll have 35-40% battery when I wake up. This time, it was literally 1%. When I checked my settings, it was Mullvad and only Mullvad that was the culprit, using 40%+, whereas the next app in usage was my Find My app, which only took 1%. I have no idea why it did that this time, and it makes me want to permanently disable Mullvad. Please address this ASAP.
Works pretty well
seems to work well. Needs auto-connect. Otherwise the user has to remember every time the phone is turned on or updated. Simple feature but would make this a perfect app
Best VPN, worst app
We all know Mullvad is one of the best VPNs, but unfortunately the app (at least for iPhone) uses a ridiculous amount of battery life compared to other VPN services. After switching to Mullvad I no longer have all day battery life when before I’d manage almost two days without having to charge (yes, this is an infrequently used device). This happened pretty much instantly and is confirmed by my battery usage stats so I know I have the source of the issue correct. I’d certainly appreciate a fix, as otherwise Mullvad’s VPN itself is the clear market leader at present.
sound quality ?
this works well on iOS though I did notice rapid battery drain when downloading data intensive content . Same could not be said for Mac OS . Apps you always find in the iOS app store seem to be deserting the Mac app store ; you'll find it's listed if you do a Mac app search , but discover is nowhere to be found . So had to download a dmg. from the website . It's not very fast but I deleted it because the sound reproduction for podcasts and news was so diminished , and seemed like mono instead of stereo ( never mind spatial ) . Still use it on iOS devices but disappointed with Mac implementation .
GOAT VPN
A lot of acronyms, but it’s true. Mullvad is the best. I’m coming from Surf Shark previously but it’s not even a contest. Connectivity, price, privacy… it’s all better with Mullvad. A perfect VPN experience. I only wish the “force all apps” issue with updating didn’t force me to manually update all of my apps…
I can’t renew time on the app
I tried to reset my subscription because I ran out of time I wanna pay more to extend my subscription but the app won’t let me nor is it an update for the app for this problem Not ok at ALL I want to be able to access non propaganda press outlets why do I have to be denied for the last hour
Careful when switching devices
Got a new phone. Everything ported over fine initially. After I wiped my old phone it stopped working. When I contacted support, I was told there was nothing they could do even though I had 80+ days left on my account. Guess I paid them for nothing.
WARNING HOT (OVERHEATING)
Literally I have noticed iPhone getting hot when this is on especially when I leave it charging overnight. The culprit is this app. YOU WILL ESPECIALLY NOTICE MORE IF YOU USE MAGSAFE….. even on corded it gets hot as well with time. WATCH IT !!!!! It’s a shame cause I love this app but don’t wanna cook my battery
Mullvad is the best, HOWEVER
We’ve been Mullvad customers for four-ish years now and still feel that they are the best. However, this app still does not have filtering so when connected to certain WiFi networks, the VPN is disabled. Won’t you please add this feature Mullvad?
Very good
I rarely write reviews but wanted to for Mullvad. They’ve resolved much of the issues that existed on the iOS platform and in my past 7-9 months of using it have had little to complain about. Definitely one of the best VPNs!

Often blocked by sites like google and Reddit. Difficult to switch servers no touch map to switch. Primitive user interface.
Best VPN I’ve used
Mullvad VPN is amazing value at £4.29 for 30 days — it has a server(s) in most countries, is unlimited and works reliably and quickly. There is no connection slow down and the option of DAITA and Multi-hop for no extra cost are amazing features to have. I highly recommend Mullvad VPN, especially in the UK with how much our ISPs track about us! Thank you Mullvad <3
Internet STOPS WORKING when you run out of time!
I got this von bc it doesn’t have ties to Israel. However it’s prepaid and and when you run out of time and it’s on, the internet on your phone (wifi or cell network) just STOPS WORKING and there’s no notification or anything explaining the issue. It took me forever to figure out why nothing was working on my phone I’m so frustrated!
APP ISSUE
I noticed after a week or so, I have to constantly logout of the account and log back in to create/register a new name for my device because the VPN is no longer working. Each time I connect to VPN, I always open mullvad.net website to check if it matches the place I connected and do the "check for leaks" to confirm connection checks. That is how I know when the VPN is not working as expected. Logging out and logging back in fixes the problem. To add to that, I also noticed after several hours of connection to one place, the VPN disconnects on its own.
W OPSEC
For an opsec comboss, this helps me, for when the opps want to find me w opsec with google chrome and windows 11, just w opsec in general for a harmful comboss like myself.

The app is impressive, however wireguard is still an experimental protocol. Can we please get OpenVPN and multi hop support?
Time wasting
I subscribed for a month, but it didn't work for even 5 minutes. I don’t recommend using it in Iran.
Became worse?
Usually, I’d use this VPN as soon as I open TikTok, but as soon as I did, the update, TikTok instantly detected the VPN and would not let me access the app unless I turned it off or I found some way to make a VPN combo and use the app normally.
Pay with Bitcoin
MullaVad is the best VPN in the world. Not only does it have the best user interface and functionality, but you can also pay with bitcoin both on chain and on lightning.
Does not work with iOS
Great with android but doesn’t work with iOS. Waste of money. Seriously don’t give them your money for nothing. Scum.

Love Mullvad
Great privacy features. They take bitcoin as payment too which is fun to do and is also very secure. Speeds are very fast using WireGuard as the go to protocol. DNS content blockers are an A+ and work beautifully. Lots and lots of options here that all work very well.
Fails to connect
I respect the integrity and mission of Mullvad, but every 24 hours it is unable to connect to any server until I reset my phone. I’m not sure if it’s an iPhone thing or something on Mullvad’s end, but I do not recommend this for iPhone users.

It’s in the 14 eyes people need to know that..
A lot don’t seem to know what the 14 eyes agreement is and Sweden Or Mullvad (Mole) is in the middle of that. Yeah it would be a fantastic app if they moved to Switzerland or Panama or somewere outside of what Edward Snowden’s revealed and it’s like no one listened? There is ZERO point getting a VPN in the 14 eyes, not one, aside if your using it for streaming TV. If it’s for privacy then there isn’t even one single point. Google the 5 - 9 and now 14 eyes agreement. And spend your 10 pounds on one in one out of the 14 eyes who still may share or sell your data but it’s unlikely. Mullvad are DUTY BOUND, they don’t have a choice, any UK USA Germany, France any 14 eye country says ‘Mullvad hand over this on this guy’ and they have no choice but to say ‘okay’ people seem oblivious to the MASS surveillance going on with normal people, it’s EVERYONE not just criminals and terrorists as Ed Snowden said wiping his tears leaving his dream job as he couldn’t live in a country where his own mum or dad aren’t having there calls logged, it’s why the US wants him dead. Sorry but these are truly sadly the facts. Yeah it might of worked amazing for years but they still have logged every single thing you’ve done what apps you have who you talk too what websites you visit - everything is logged check out vpn.com for some mind blowing facts I read earlier. The 1984 is already in action.
