What people like
- Easy to use and navigate
- Helpful quality data and settings
- Works well when it connects
What they complain about
- App keeps disconnecting from device
- Slow to connect and control
- Schedule features are confusing and limited
- No support for Apple HomeKit or Siri
Works well
The schedule side is a little confusing, seems to disable itself. But other than that, it’s good.
Connectivity issues ongoing
Can not connect app to the heater. Tried multiple ways of troubleshooting
APPLEHOME APP einbinden
Bitte die Geräte dringend in die HOME App mit einbinden
Bad app connection
This is a very bad app. Every time I open the app it never connected to the device and i have to close and clear the app and reopen. Even when it is connected u minimize it and then open it again the device takes its sweet time to connect. When i tunr off sound sometimes it still makes sound. Fix your connection issues. The time lag is annoying as hell.
Buggy but ok
You have to copy/paste in your wifi SSID because the app freezes with every new character.
Easy to use
Excellent!
Extremely invasive
Requires all permissions to function. This is a data farming app.
Keeps Disconnecting From the App
My AMF870/35 has started disconnecting from the app after four months of working perfectly. I now have to reconnect it frequently, and even then the pairing process is unreliable, often getting stuck in pairing mode. It’s frustrating because it was completely stable before and has become much harder to use.
Filter cleaning reset no longer possible
Pretty good app overall. But currently when trying to reset filter cleaning timer it always shows the dialog for resetting filter replacement. So it seems impossible to reset the filter cleaning timer. Btw I’d have loved to send a support request instead of a bad rating but on the website it’s impossible. Whenever you click “contact support” you end up on the landing page again. Sad.

So good for allergies
My daughter has allergies to dust and is struggling to breathe at night. This Phillips air purifier is so good and has helped her sleep so much. When I first tried it the allergy levels went from 4 out of 12 to one out of 12 in about five minutes. Definitely would buy it is worth the money. I have the Pure Protect Quiet edition.
Latest app update August 2026 bugs
Been using the app for at least a year, maybe two. Latest update on iOS forgets basic settings like light/dark, beep on/off, and more critically can’t find the heater unless location services in iOS is on - previously it would take just a few seconds longer when location services were off to find the heater via wifi but always did find it. Now it doesn’t at all. Now I have to turn location services on every time before the app can find the heater on wifi (I turn location services off to save battery life on phone). Please fix, it’s time consuming. Otherwise, it was a 5 star app.
Good when connected
One of my purifiers connected relatively easily. The other one refuses to. So it’s ok when it works!
Out of the box intuitive
Really slick and well thought out, functions are easy to find and understand, just the necessary to connect the device and make things work smoothly from your phone
Invasive, not secure
It requires precise location to connect to the device, I’m aware that there is no need to request such information from users. They made it in a way that you cannot connect if you don’t allow it. We could easily type the wifi name and password to share connection, like it works for everything else.
Hot air
Cool
Very buggy
First time Philips purifier owner. Constantly disconnects from the app despite the device showing it has a wifi signal and despite using a good quality bt hub and it being in the same room as it. Such a shame
Works fine but…
…it really needs an Apple Watch companion. Even a simple version just to control the fan from my wrist would be so much better. Cheers.

Sexy
Rubbish
Never wants to connect. Rubbish app…
Air purifier control
Easy to navigate the app. Schedule on for device. Helpful quality data
Slow to connect
Very slow to connect and control devices, also no support from google home or apple homekit
Ok
But very glitchy
Impressive
Great app
Garbage app - garbage product
I have the 5000 model. It constantly says it’s 89% humidity even when it is clear dry in my house and independent readings say it’s around 40%. I do some research and it turns out the gauge is built into the housing where the water is stored! What an absolute joke of a design. Then in app, you can’t override the 70% limit so the piece of garbage never turns on. Waste of money. Poorly designed product. Zero stars if I could.
Silent when in Auto
Having the 900 now for half a year and it works well. Picks even up fresh Deo when leaving the bathroom. When operating on half speed the noise is still not disturbing for office work ..very happy with it, ordered a second one for living room.
Long time connect
App looks great and it is very intuitive, but it take a very long time (over 5min) to connect to the device in the same network.
Missing useful features
Schedule does not support individual fan speeds (eg 1,2,3,4,5). Requires internet connection for the device. No official APIs for third party integration with the device itself.
Sam
Quite at the night mod and great feeling
What a joke
Absolutely useless. Zero connectivity. A four-year-old with dementia could’ve done a better job.
J
Wish you could order new filters from the app
Useless app
Device never stays connected to the wifi no matter what I try so the app is redundant
Doing the least
Does the bare minimum but is otherwise an unresponsive/laggy, ugly app.
Easy to use
It’s as simple as it needs to be while containing all the information and settings you need.
No sensor
Where is the information current quality, app is not user friendly at all
So far so good
Impressed so far by the app and control of the heater, early days yet but this seems like something that will get a lot of use tbh is winter!!
Disconnects
Easy to initially setup, however, will randomly stop connecting to the device until a full reset and reconnect. Rinse and repeat. No other ‘IoT’ devices on my network suffers with the same disconnection and refusal to connect issues. The issue is NOT with my network. When it’s working it’s great, shame there’s so many people with the same issue and no fix in sight. Additionally would be nice to have the ability to integrate within home assistant as a feature.
Could make it HomeKit compatible as well
Would be nice to bring support to Siri and Apple HomeKit for a more seamless experience, as I have spent a lot on these products, but not having a premium smart home experience. Also, introducing a smart home device add on, which connects all Philips smart devices for a faster connectivity (so there being no load time to access your humidifier or air purifier). Or better yet, consistently being connected to Apple HomePod for a better smart home experience. But overall the App is alright, not as high end or seamless as I initially expected.
Great
Great! Five star!
App
The app was working and three weeks later it keeps saying no philips found but my location still shows outside pollution. I have done all the troubleshoot nothing wrong with my internet just your app please fix
Series 3000 fan
The fan works well, is relatively quiet and efficient.
Philips Tower Fan Heater
App works but keeps on disconnecting/showing offline. Smart Home pretty much useless due to disconnects. Avoid at all Cost
Login data ‘not in correct format’
The actual functionality is good, but currently you can only set a beginning time for a schedule. That means that if ‘allergy sleep’ mode is set to begin at 22.00, you can’t tell it to stop at 7.00 am or whatever time you want it to stop - this feels like something quite basic that is missing. Additionally. For the modes such as allergy sleep, you can’t choose for them to start at different times on different days of the week. Finally, when trying to log in, it connects to the website and works, but then sends a notification that reads ‘The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format.‘
Super easy
Easy to use pretty basic.
App
App not connecting to device and not working
Bug Report
I bought your air purifier but fail to connect. I am living in Tasmania but your app set my location in China, then it rejects to connect and says “This device does not support use in China at the moment” My iPhone was bought in Australia and using the local network, not VPN. Have no idea why this issue is encountered.
Not connecting to devices
App stopped connecting to fans. It stays “connecting” and I can’t turn my fans on through the app. When trying to re-pair or reconnected it keeps coming up with “http error”. No changes to wifi or connection. Nothings working even when I turn the device off and reconnected and same thing done to my phone.
Latest Update Terrible
The latest update has rendered my app connection useless. I have deleted and re-added my 600i and it still will not connect. Infuriating. Fix this. It was fine before. It’s slow to load also. I have a fast 5Ghz wifi connection on iOS 26.2 and this app is now essentially bricked.
