I love iOrnament but
It has recently been crashing every single time I open it.
the original is less buggy
i was so excited to see that my favorite app iOrnament made a new Pro edition!.. but unfortunately it falls quite short of my expectations, and i will not continue to use it. its quite buggy and it is not perfectly integrated with the Apple Pencil. when i click buttons with the apple pencil, they act as if not clicked. some buttons only work when tapped with fingers. also, it is almost impossible to draw a straight line with the apple pencil, and its so easy to draw a straight line with my finger. the lines are super jagged/jittery with apple pencil, no matter how hard i try to draw a precise straight line. i do not have either of these issues on the original iOrnament app. please fix these bugs, and perhaps add an option of a stabilized pen.

Last update caused consistent crashing
I love this app and have been using it for many years, even the original version. It used to crash occasionally and I would sometimes loose a few strokes when it reloaded, but now it crashing almost every time I attempt to use it. My only choice was to delete the app and reinstall it which I’m tired of doing multiple times. I have lost years of my art, 100’s of works I created. Very upsetting as an artist to loose something your put your heart into. Luckily I had already exported most of my favorites but unable to go back and edit or change anything since they are gone.

Great when it works
I enjoy the app, it could use a stroke stabilization option, but not a deal breaker. The options for rounds and sub-rounds are really cool. HOWEVER 2 stars knocked off because a new “tier” has been added that allows image import. Which is great for anyone who needs it, no problem there. But the premium version I have now has a pop-up every 20 seconds or so reminding me that I cannot import images unless I upgrade. I don’t want to, so no need to upgrade. No way to shut off the pop-up. Dev needs to address this, no thanks means no thanks.
Needs more
I may be missing something obvious but when I draw a line it is rough. In most drawing apps you can draw a line and hold, then it converts to a smart shape, in this instance a perfect straight line which looks far better than a hand drawn one. Bezier curves would be handy too. Basically I can draw things but the result is dreadful. I want crisp, clear lines/shapes, not rough hand drawn ones. I've looked at the settings and the help and if there is an option for this then I can't see it. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.
My favorite app!
This is my go to app for anything creative. Is there any chance that you might improve the app to create images to include 30,000 x 30,000 pixels? Also, I really like that I can save the images I create and share them to procreate or Photoshop. It just seems that when I do that the quality of the pictures is lost. Unless it’s something that I’m just not doing right.

Ever since the update it’s been constantly crashing. :(
Fun, versatile, impressive results
My biggest request if there is an update in the works would be to add adjustable smoothing/stabilization. I know the strokes can be edited after being drawn but it would be nice to set smoothing for all strokes. I don’t have the steadiest hand and some stabilization would be very helpful.

I have downloaded MANY apps like iOrnament Pro but always return to iOrnament Pro to relax and create. Great app - great features - such fun!
Pathetic crippleware
Another total ripoff that puts „Pro“ in the name and sets a „price“ only to make it then „Free“. Then try to sell you the real app for a ton of money. Not even the tools shown in the tutorial at the start are available without payment. Don‘t you have any shame?
Loading artworks
Great app! But strangely after upgrading with the new tools, I can’t load artworks created after the upgrade but only the old ones created before. Maybe related with resolution and memory?
Some cool features but loads of bugs
This app has some very cool features but unfortunately they are overshadowed by the clunkiness of operation and the amount of bugs. I have only created about 10 mandalas so far but have lost 4 of them already. They just went poof after trying to save them.
Good app but super buggy
It doesn’t recognize your hand vs the pen so you can’t lean on the iPad to draw. It constantly crashes and the user interface isn’t the friendliest either. App is good tho, just needs a lot of fixes

Simply isn’t working
Keeps freezing at the beginning and I cannot even get passed the training session. Cannot give feedback or get support from the apple support link on the App Store - it just says page not found.
Love this app, but I miss two things.
Great app, very inspiring. I have two things I can’t find. 1. How do I draw smooth lines? 2. How do I turn off drawing with finger. Every time I start drawing my had make spots. What I love specially about this app is the high resolution I can export the tiles! Thank you!
Crashed my iPad twice!
Im an artist and I liked this app, there are some things I would like to have there to have more flexibility and abilities during the creating process, but it was pleasurable enough for a few weeks since Ive got it until all of the sudden it crashed my iPad! The screen got black with couple of flashing strips across, and I couldn't even turn off my device does not matter how many times Ive tried! All I could see the screen is not off completely. Some thing like that happen a few years ago with my Desktop when virus killed my hard drive. So I thought 'That's it! Good buy iPad!'... Then fortunately about 5-7 minutes later my iPad went off. So Ive waited for another 5 min and turned it back on, and was happy to see, that its not 'dead', but I gave it another try with this app and when I ask it to continue on my project (which was an Easter Egg) my iPad momentarily crashed again in the same manner. So, when I was able to turn it back on, I just deleted this app - no more tries, could cost me a lot! If developer will try and fix the problem would be nice, because this app can really do the job! Ive got two of this apps in the bundle, and Im afraid to try the other one even I did not delete the other one yet.

Good app, has a lot of features I like, I just wish they weren’t so buggy. Save as video only works a small fraction of the time. I also would like to see a proper gallery/project/file section to access finished work or wip.

I cannot get the menu options like the brushes colors ! I only get one black slate ! I can only draw once . Then you have to start over

I love creating art on the app, but it keeps crashing. This is not what I paid for.
Misleading demos, missing features make it more toy then tool
I was so excited to have an app on the iPad that would allow for repeating images - it’s the biggest piece of my workflow forcing me back to the desktop. Sadly, this was misleading. The demos showed imported images in repeat - the exact feature I need, and one that is missing. While the description says you can import images, that is not entirely true - you can import AN image that will NOT be placed in repeat. It’s for tracing only. The inability to adjust the tile size and aspect ratio severely limits utility, especially when trying to create a detailed design. Exporting an image as transparent also shows sloppy edges and an inability to produce partial transparency-despite availability in the png format. In addition, the demoed gradient tool is missing, the stroke editing is clunky and only applies to the last stroke made, despite the program storing stroke data. There is no ability to move strokes or pixels - you have to redraw and erase. All that said, it is a fun toy, the UI is mostly smooth, and the gold and glitter functions a cute addition, and the mathematical explanations interesting. If the limitations were clear, I’d give it 4 or 5 stars, but the misleading demos and missing common features result in significant deductions.
Gorgeous but not very intuitive
Great app for relaxation, and the art looks beautiful. However, I have noticed it’s a bit buggy where sometimes the screen just appears black, and i have to force quit for it to show again. I also think the controls are kind of hard to get used to. it’s difficult to understand what the different controls and settings mean and do. It would also be nice to have an album in the app to save your work so you can go back and look at them and modify them. Not exactly sure it’s worth the value yet, but it serves its purpose
Great New Version
Even though I’ve had iOrnament for years (started with first basic app years ago), I really hadn't been using it recently. But when I saw what features and improvements had been added in this newest version, I couldn't resist! The developer outdid himself! I do believe the added fees were not excessive and well worth the price. I'm thoroughly enjoying myself as I reacquaint myself with the “new” app! (If it were possible, I would give ten stars here!)
No toolbar so not able to draw anything

Fast perfekt
Ich finde die App wirklich super entspannend und es macht sehr viel Spaß stundenlang Muster und Mandelas zu kreieren. Nur leider werden die Muster die ich bereits gespeichert habe und erneut laden möchte nie richtig angezeigt. In ganz dunklen Farben und völlig verzehrt. Also ganz anders als ich sie abgespeichert habe. Ich weiß nicht woran das liegt. Zeichne am neuen iPad Pro. Wenn das behoben wird, werden es auf jeden Fall 5 Sterne!

It is actually an update of Iornament: draw. Only now I spend 8 euros on some glitter! I find it embarrassing!
Good, but…
It is laggy for me. I’m on iPad generation 5. And it sometimes the app crashes. So, if you can fix it, I would rate it a 4 star or 5 star.
Shoule be Top Editors Choice App Pic
I have loved this app since it first came out. Every time a new feature is added I can’t wait to try it! I love the glitter effect and the embossing effect, I love that you can adjust the lighting on the image usng the embossing effect. I love you can add sparkles to your images. With the most recent updates, I LOVE the ability to use your own imges and with the “ghost” feature you can get a custom cut out of the image. I love the custom brush options too. You can make your image rotate, change colors or give it a multi dimentional effect using the 3D and Spirals option, you can share your creation as a gif or video. Create custom mandalas, or just about any pattern combination you can think of. Hands down one of my favorite apps.
Not worth a cent - lots of work to be done
I am so incredibly frustrated with this app. While it’s features are good in theory, it’s incredibly difficult to use, not intuitive and has caused me to make several mistakes while drawing. The menu is challenging to navigate and is not user friendly. Multiple times I selected the eraser unintentionally and erased massive parts of my drawings. The pen is laggy and lines do not connect well, as well as colours not being usable on the slider and using the same shades no matter the changes. The placement of buttons on the side made me delete an entire drawing with the palm of my hand and no way to retrieve it. I also find the lack of more than 3 layers frustrating and means quality designs are not possible. This is honestly not worth the money I paid for it. 2 hours of work is gone thanks to no auto save and the delete button with no double checking prompt.

Disappointed in the pro’s image quality compared to the original version
First I have to say I love iOrnament app. I do a lot of mandalas and intricate drawing with it. When I saw the pro version, I had to buy it. However, after playing with it for a bit, I noticed some difference in the image quality. When drawing in pro, my lines have a much more pixelated edge rather than a nice smooth edge that I get with the original app. I switched back to the original and will continue using until this issue is fixed. I have screen shot the images made in both apps and you can definitely see the difference. I do have the high res turned on. I also did not like that when you export the image, the whole screen is exported not just my image but also the black background making the image even smaller pixels as I get a 4096x 4096 in the original app and only 4096x3072, making it only 3072x3072 when I crop off the black background. I feel the image quality has decreased with the new pro version. I’d also like to see a full 300 dpi for images as line work prints best at 300 dpi. When I change 264 to 300 in my editing software, my image print size is reduced.
A must have app for me
Absolutely love this app. Mental stimulation and relaxation at the same time. Love the new brushes, the fabulous new color gradient options and the incredible ability to use stickers and your own photos or artwork as part of the design experience. Try it. You’ll LOVE it.
Interesting but…
Lovely app, but I accidentally hit the bin icon and lost all my work. I hit undo but nothing happened. The screen then failed to allow me to draw on it, which seems to happen quite often. Please let me know if there is a way to undo the ‘bin’ function as it is very easy to press when resting your hand on the screen. Often I won’t be able to draw anything and will have quit and restart the app. Also is there a way to turn off the touch screen to only allow the Apple Pencil to draw? I’m using an iPad Pro 2020. The app seems great but for these reasons not working well for me! Update: I am using the mode where you draw on a sphere, not sure if this is relevant.. it makes the whole iPad grind to a halt. Really buggy, brushes behave randomly, freezes etc This app just doesn’t work, brushes stopped working.. have restated iPad, always the same. Thank you
Love still things I don’t like
I love this the thing I would fix is the saving every undo it fills up storage in a hurry.

This app has been a delight to use from the very beginning, and this new version makes it even more delightful and easier to use. I’ve made amazing patterns for laser cutting that I couldn’t draw by hand or with other apps. I’ve just zoned out and found all kinds of wonderful patterns just by doodling. The new stickers let you create beautiful results even if you don’t draw well. So many lovely variations. Using an image as your pattern similarly opens up so many possibilities. The fill tool takes a huge amount of work out of adding solid colors. Being able to send a fill to a layer different from the outlines lets you keep you art clean and allows you to change it much more easily than otherwise.

App keeps crashing when I try and work on my art. I was in the middle of a drawing and it crashed and now the app won’t let me continue working on it. It is extremely frustrating to use when it just keeps crashing
