Very cool
I've only been using the app for a few days, but it's such a cool one! I love how open and transparent the creator is about what you do and don't pay for and that part of my subscription goes to charity. I also love how customizable it is (choosing your symptoms: creating symptoms, choosing how you want your graph to look, coloring coding things, ect) it's been very helpful to see the peaks and how long my symptoms last via a color chart. I haven't tried the 3d model yet because I use this for my POTS and I've lived with my aches and headaches so long I don't really think to track them, but you get a demo of how it works and get to play around with it (if you don't choose to subscribe). Overall a very well put together app that I think can (and will for me) be helpful for explaining my symptoms and helping myself see what is a trigger.

Would really like to be able to track menstrual cycle to see if symptoms typically get worse with hormone fluctuations. And the peri/menopause symptoms too. Great app. Thanks
Not intuitive
I was impressed with the dedication and detail in this app as applied by the designer. However, I felt that use was not intuitive, that it needed extensive time with the User manual, and for my purposes, was TMI. I was looking for a basic app that would track pain levels, locations, and triggering symptoms. I wish the developer luck, but this unfortunately was not a good fit for me.
I’ve been looking for this exact function!
So so glad I found this app! I have episodic cluster headaches and wanted to track visually the frequency and patterns. It has been exactly what I wanted. I love that you can customize the graphs and also simultaneously track medications, other symptoms, etc to see how they all overlap. I am very grateful to have found this after hunting around and trying a few other symptom trackers. This one does exactly what I wanted!
misleading
the whole advertisement is that you can track your pain on a physical dummy, but you have to pay for that aspect.
Optimal Monitoring
This app lets you record pain levels and symptoms of your choice. You can also add notes/details. It provides you with great insight by drawing a graph of recorded information. I appreciate having the possibility of assessing symptoms through questionnaires, also used by healthcare providers.
Needs iCloud Backup
This would be the perfect app if it backed up to Apple’s cloud. I don’t really want another account with another password just to backup one app. I already have an account with Apple. Why get one with Microsoft, drop box, or Google (especially not Google).
Really good
Really like this app. It doesn’t feel as high maintenance/effort as other pain tracking apps. It’s super customizable too and I like the export feature. I also appreciate its focus on privacy.

Je suis triste. j’ai cru enfin trouvé une application pour assister ma mémoire vs. les rdv médicaux / les médicaments / les injections Mais ça ne marche pas. Dès le début de l’installation, au moment du choix des préférences de paramètrage et des coockies aucun texte n’apparaît. Donc impossible d’aller plus loins dans l’installation 🙁

[Edit] After response from developer, I've revised from 2 stars to 4, taking one star away for minor issues. This is still an awesome app deserving of 4 stars. The lack of device sharing is a considered trade-off for privacy that I can support. Thanks! - I really wanted to like this app, it is such an awesome concept. Unfortunately after spending hours setting it up I discovered several issues. Random crashes 3d modeling not functional during 14day trial, forcing one to sign up for the subscription just to test the functionality. This is not documented. Unable to edit colors after use in the 3d modeling. Minor convenience issue. Lack of documentation... this app is not as intuitive as it could be, making it frustrating to use. Fatal issue - Installed this app on an iPad Pro (ios16.x) and signed up for the subscription to be able to test the 3d aspect; expecting it to replicate to all other devices as is now usual practice for apps. It installed on my iPad mini but not my iPhone. After several hours of setup, discovered that this app and the subscription are only functional on the first device. So now the app has to be deleted and the subscription cancelled, then re-installed on a single device. This is a fatal problem. Need this on an iPhone for the Watch functions, but use the iPad mini for data entry, which seems to be impossible. Further, the subscription cannot be edited or cancelled until after the trial period. Love the concept of the 3d modeling... and would willingly pay the subscription fee if the last issue can be resolved.
Can’t figure out how to use this
Is there a guide or user manual. All I see are things telling me what it will do. Nothing about HOW to use the features. Looks wonderful if I could use it.
The best tracker I’ve found
I have tried dozens of symptom trackers. I suffer from New Daily Persistent Headache, which is a single headache that has been my constant companion for over three years now. I use symptom trackers to try to understand what correlations exist to see if I can figure out where to take action to eliminate this ever-present pain. Chronic Insights is hands-down the best tracker I’ve found. It allows me to input the data I want to track, doesn’t require me to add things that are of no interest to me, and provides a graph showing the trends. I love the fact that it has no ads. No urging me to upgrade or buy anything. It just exists quietly on my phone, always opened and ready for my next symptom update. Kudos and thanks for an amazing product!

I like it so far! My only suggestion is that menstruation/ovulation isn’t included under factors, and that’s a major one for a lot of us.
Wonderful tool to share with my doctor
4/22/25 Update (original review below) - I have developed a new pain in my ankles, so I’ve used the 3D model over the past month. When I went in for my appt today I took my iPad and showed my rheumatologist the diagrams. First, because of my visualization she has a good idea of what is causing this new pain and ordered an ultrasound to confirm. Second, she loves this app! She wrote down the name and wants to tell her other patients about it, as sometimes they find it difficult to describe their pain, but if they can show her on a 3D model, that will make it so much easier. I told my husband when I got home and he said I should get a commission. Haha! But I just wanted to share my doctor’s amazement with this app. So thank you! (Original review) I downloaded Chronic Insights last summer when I was diagnosed with non radiographic axial spondylitis (similar to ankylosing spondylitis). I’m so glad I had this app, as after a few months when I started on my biological injections, I was able to see clearly when the pain started lessening. I printed off the graph of “Insights” to share with my doctor, and she was so excited to be able to see the dramatic results I was experiencing after my 3rd injection. Seeing my results brought tears to her eyes. She said she wanted to frame that chart. 😊 Now, a few months later, I’m starting to have some issues again. But I’ll be able to take my new printed chart in with me, and once we decide on a new course of treatment I’ll be able to visualize how the new treatment is working. I am so thankful for this app! I paid for the premium version so I could see how weather affects my symptoms. I’ve learned when the air pressure rises, my fatigue also increases, so that has been interesting. I have not used the 3D model.
Love the app but the export feature needs tweaking
I switched over to Chronic Insights from MigraineBuddy because C.I. offers more thorough and easier ways of marking down pain and tracking symptoms with the 3D modeling, but I also need the ability to share the data with my doctors as I’ve done with MigraineBuddy. Problem is, the export feature never loads the data. I’ve gotten it to bring up the available data points once to select for export, but it crashed the app when it tried and hasn’t done it since. It also doesn’t appear to have an option for exporting all data types, which is a problem when you’re using the app to not only track your symptoms and flare-ups but also provide your doctors with the information so they can better help you. Please work on making the export process run smoother and contain all available data points and notes. If this feature isn’t refined and updated, as much as I love it, I won’t be able to continue using it as it gives me no option to successfully share the data with my care team. It may sound small, but this is a huge thing. Please fix the export feature to actually work correctly and consistently. And if this feature is a subscriber-only option, that really will be a let down as it’s something that is necessary for anyone using this app, or any app that tracks chronic pain and medical conditions. Thank you.
Absolutely Amazing
I have tried so many different apps to keep track of my symptoms and this is the only one that clicked with my brain in a way that made it easy to remember to do. I keep it up to date and check in a couple times a day. I can visualize the fluctuations better with the graphs, and I love being able to export them to print and show to my doctors. I haven’t tried premium yet, but this app is seriously amazing and the only thing that clicks with me. Plus I love how many options there are for disorders, there’s a lot on there that you don’t usually see in apps like this. I recommend this app to all of my friends, and they all love it too. The custom symptom feature is also really cool, since there’s a very wide range of symptom experiences that aren’t included in the actual symptoms list yet! Thank you for this app, it’s wonderful.

I currently struggle with back pain along with joint pain in different parts of my body. This has made it a lot easier for me to show my doctors where the pain is and to track my symptoms over time

Great app for invisible illnesses
This is a fantastic app for keeping record of pain that others can’t see. It has many options for logging pain and you can add in any or all conditions you have to track pain. It also gives you highlighted areas that show the pain visibly to those who may be in doubt. It would be a great tool to use for SSD court as it shows visibly all the pain people just do not see with many chronic conditions.
