I’m loving this app … really helpful, easy to use & informative. Thank you 🙏 xx
Stopped working, can’t get my personal information
I’ve used this app successfully for years, but within the past month or so, it’s completely broken. There is an error “Hmm. That didn’t work… 503” on every module. At this point I’d just like to export my personal information (which now I can not even view) and delete my account, but there is no way to do so.
Great app
This app has been my go to for a number of years now, brilliant for keeping track of my symptoms however in the last few days I can’t log in. I keep getting an error message, deleted and tried again but no joy. Any ideas?
Poor symptom tracking
The app only allows for tracking of symptoms by day. Hot flashes occur throughout the day and not being able to track time and potential triggers makes the app worthless to me.
Daily calendar for logging would be helpful
I love this app! It’s very intuitive and useful and helps calm my anxiety about symptoms. One thing that would be very helpful is a calendar (similar to those on apps that track menstrual periods). I’d like to be able to track my symptoms throughout the day just to see how often I’m having hot flashes, mood swings etc.
Fantastic friend
This has been a wonderful source of information, and an amazing site for any woman going through this time of her life. It takes you through every mine field the menopause can throw at us, and let’s us know, we are not alone.
Disappointing
The supporting articles are so basic they are totally unhelpful. None of the resources amount to real knowledge. I’m cancelling and deleting this app.
Pretty good
So far so good, but I wish “emotional” was a symptom I could log and track. I’m just using “mood swings”instead, but that’s not entirely accurate.
It was a good app!
I was recommended by my GP in the U.K. After I started going into the perimenopause at 45. And this app worked a treat. Made me understand my symptoms changing in my body etc. But lately the app has been crashing a LOT. So I got in contact with support. And they have been helping but it still crashes. And yes I have updated my iPhone, still crashes. So unfortunately I am now searching for another app for menopause sadly. Nice when it lasted.
Needs updates
Love this app for tracking but i can’t get notifications to work and this app hasn’t been updated in a year. Does anyone still update this app or do i need to find a different app? For now, I’m putting a reminder to track in my phone.
Life saver
So much useful information. Download it.
Uninstalled and happy with alternative
It always gave me an error:500. Meaning I couldn’t save anything. I spent 20 minutes genuinely trying to figure it out.
Not bad for free
There’s nothing flashy here, and if you aren’t a fan of perky American ladies being false chummy the lessons can grate a bit. But but but for a free app it has a lot of features that are genuinely helpful. As someone approaching the change it gives a basic no nonsense run down of what you need to know, and provides a very comprehensive symptom log so you can look for patterns over time, a daily progress monitor, mindfulness exercises and short daily lessons on menopause and health. There is a lot going on here - again for free, much more than many subscription apps offer. It doesn’t link recording to any other apps - as I said, nothing flashy, and some of the graphics are a little generic but tbh I think I would rather that than a sleeker version that charged £30 per month subscription.
Needs much improvement to be useful
This app is okay for learning info about symptoms, but so is google. The "analytics" don't show big picture or longer term cyclical information, just a couple days at a time, which isn't helpful. It also frequently doesn't save logged information. So going back to try to look up dates of occurrences, symptoms, etc., is impossible. Those two features were the primary things I was looking for in this app.
Problem of creating my account
I downloaded this app but I can’t use it because I can’t create my account due an internal error!
Amazing!
I’ve never come across such a tremendous app, the variety of content, options to engage with discussion boards and ability to track my menopause journey are fabulous. Thanks so much for developing and sharing x
App was great for a week!
Then I got signed out and couldn’t regain access. I was bummed that I lost my tracking, but went ahead and created a new profile and started again. Lo and behold, I can’t get in again! This nonsense is not something a perimenopausal woman will put up with. Off to find a new app! 🙄
Great app with lots of helpful support and advice
I like this app this has great content and really useful symptom tracker - my only wish is that you were able to bookmark content to refer back to :(
Ability to track hot flashes missing
I was hoping for a quick and easy button to simply log every time I have a hot flash. All I see are tracking a plethora of symptoms and severity, but not the day and time, and frequency, of each flash.
Not all the features work
There are several parts of this (eg. “Want to see something new?” which lead to dead pages. I can’t see when posts are made (no dates), and when I went to check an event link posted in a comment, discovered the event was a year ago. How do I make a new post? I don’t see anywhere to do that. I’ve noticed that two days after I got my last COVID booster shot, my hot flashes have started back up when they were under control before. How do I post to see if others are experiencing this?
Really helpful
I look forward to using the App every day. The daily mindfulness sessions really help with my well-being. I have recommended the App to other ladies.
Needs a calendar view
I liked this app for how much daily info/symptoms you could enter, but have become frustrated with its lack of a bigger picture: There’s no calendar view to get a sense of patterns over time: you can only view one week’s worth of symptoms at a time. For putting in SO much daily info, looking back over only one week is just useless.
Useful support tool
Am fairly new to this app and still forget to do the log daily but it’s useful to dip into. Some of the articles are a little too general, often telling me what I already know but I guess they’re consistent with other info. The forum element is useful, to help offer and get reassurance to similar situations. I’d still love to know more about the difference between all HRT ie gels, tablets etc and options for those who have suffered blood clots.
No period tracking
This app has really great intentions but it is information overload. I thought it was a Health tracking appBut it seems to want to be both BuzzFeed and a social platform. All I want to do is track my periods and symptoms without the usual focus on fertility. The period tracking part is almost impossible to find- why isn’t it with symptoms & activity?
Adding symptoms
Likening the app so far. Would be nice to add other symptoms. Ex: cold feet, crazy legs (tingly)
Life saviour
This app changed my life. Turning the corner of 50, I found myself frequently waking up with a strange new unpleasantness in either pain or discomfort that ended up making me think something was seriously wrong. The joints in my hands hurt, my legs were so restless at night I couldn’t sleep and I often had severe backache. Joining the community here; I’ve learnt all of these things are typically related to the menopause. This app provides a fabulous share of stories, symptoms and tips on how to deal with menopause. It’s been a life saviour for me (and probably also my husband ;-))
Disappointed!
This is a useless app if you are deaf, as I am. The lessons are auditory-based, without any captions.
decent app; quick dev response
good for keeping track of symptoms; lots of information & tools if they’re needed; dev response within 3 days. my only complaint would be: while there is an option to turn notifications on/off within the app, apparently the only way to actually turn them off is through phone settings (this after 2 exchanges w/devs & an update in between). imho, settings options available within an app should be usable; if not usable, should be removed. simplicity & clarity are valuable. thank you for your time— keep up the good work!
Room for improvement
I’m finding many aspects of the app are very well done. There’s tons of info, educational content, and overall community support. But as a newer user, after logging symptoms for the past several weeks, I’m realizing (unless I’m missing something) there is no calendar view that allows me to visualize the any patterns to my symptoms. I needed to find out if certain symptoms I was experiencing might be cyclical and ended up just having to flip back through my daily logs and then compare the dates the symptoms occurred to my own calendar to see if they were grouping four weeks apart. It really wasn’t user friendly for that purpose. I guess I’m just used to my old period tracker app that would show a calendar view, let me see the patterns, and even help me predict when my regular cyclical symptoms were most likely to strike next. If this app had a good calendar overview, or even a graph or chart to show how frequently each symptom was appearing, I’d likely give it five stars.
Great find
I’ve been looking for an app for a while where I could log symptoms and share experiences and finally found something that ticks all the boxes and gives useful tips as well as mindful exercises.
Cant sign up
I can’t even sign up within the app. The keyboard comes up blank when I try to enter a password. Awesome.
Flo with Menopausal Focus
This is an interesting new app for women who want to practice greater awareness around menopausal changes. The app helps assess and track symptoms, as well as offering guidance for managing symptoms to maintain well-being.
How I like it
It's not visual colorful enough. Seems to be limited. I havent had it long so willing to try it longer and maybe I'll find it more useful.
Fantastic app.
I read about Caria and thought I’d just give it a go. I am so pleased I did! I have found out so much about the menopause. Also why different things are happening and suggesting some coping strategies. There are many aspects to the app, my favourite being the communication with other ladies going through the same as me. It is so reassuring reading messages and comments knowing what’s happening to me is okay. It really has saved my sanity!
Can’t log anything
I was really looking forward to using this app but I can’t log any symptoms at all. Can I only log symptoms with the paid version?
Love it, but would like one more thing...
This is an excellent app as is, but one more thing would make it just about perfect for me: an open text block in the daily log so I can enter things that are going on. For example, I had allergy testing yesterday which is definitely affecting some of my symptoms. I got a terrible night of sleep a few nights ago, and that affected my energy/fatigue/headache. Just an open text are to enter notes would be super helpful. Thanks!!!!
Way too expensive
I liked it originally because it was free. The soundscapes I found particularly useful especially at night. Now most of them are locked unless you pay and I can’t afford that amount of money for an app.
The best perimenopause app by far
I have been having perimenopause symptoms since I turned 40. Recently things have escalated and my symptoms are varied and intense. I found this app a couple of months ago. This app has helped me to understand that these strange symptoms I’ve never associated with “the change” are normal and I am not alone. Caria is a community of ladies, all going through this together. I use this app daily to track my symptoms and to join In the community discussions. It’s an invaluable tool and knowing “it’s not just me” makes a huge difference. If you’re going through the peri/post menopause please join us on this app.
Privacy, what privacy?
I’m concerned about the sharing of personal information with third parties as outlined in Caria privacy policy. While the app is free, the price you pay seems to be that your name, email, DOB etc could be shared with healthcare and pharma companies. I’d rather pay a small monthly and keep my personal data secure and unidentifiable.
Tracking is Limited
I like the artwork a lot! Beautiful! And tracking the symptoms that are available here is great. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a way to track headaches (or other unique symptoms) so I’ll keep looking for a different menopause app.
Great, but....
I cannot figure out how to look at the dates of period flow! It feels important to be able to click somewhere and see my LMP and cycle. If this is a feature, it’s not intuitive!
Too menopause app
This is the single Most useful thing I have found for dealing with the menopause. It doesn’t preach, it’s full of ideas and really helpful ideas too, and there is space for us to ask for help and support each other. Just being able to say “I suffer from x - anybody else?” And have a load of women saying “Yes! So it isn’t just me then” - in a society where one still feels embarrassed at saying the word menopause, this space is invaluable. I use the meditation sessions and the symptom logger especially.
Please cater to Premature Ovarian Failure
Please add functionality for woman who have entered menopause far too early. I have premature ovarian failure and that isn’t currently an option. It would help women like me who already feel hit hard by the situation to cope. I don’t fit into any of hue categories of pre-menopause, peri-menopause, natural, induced or post. Until that option is added I sadly can’t use this app.
Almost everything I need!
I just loaded and set up this app, I’ve continued to use my period tracker for an entire year since I stopped having periods and decided it was time to get an appropriate tracker for menopause. It seems easy to use and has great info. I’m curious why there isn’t a spot to track my sexual activity, if having sex is so important to maintaining a healthy vagina. A sex tracker with the ability to comment and save notes on the activity that day would be useful I think.
Downloaded app then found out needed to set up account. Was really hoping that wasn’t a requirement to use app. It should be an option. Deleted app
