Paying my bill with the app
I used the app for a couple of years, it was great. Now it says I have to have IOS 18 or something on my phone. Ridiculous. I paid my last bill at WalMart, with an extra cost. Because your app is not taking my payment any longer, why should I be charged extra? I called about this, got someone who said the app has been malfunctioning. Guess I will go back to paying on paper. Vincent
No meter reporting on the app
I only had one major use for the app. It is not included. I cannot record my meter read. Bummer.
Confusing at the End
Have gone through digital process have a scheduled withdrawal from my acct. but it still says “make a payment”??? Confusing! Didn’t I just do that? If I press it again will it withdraw the amount twice? Would like a true confirmation not one I have to consider calling on the next day to make sure it occurred. Just my opinion.
Awesome service
Just linked my account talking with Clarice. What an amazing person! She was friendly, helpful, and got me exactly where I needed to be. It’s so easy!
App Errors
Unfortunately, the app has never successfully loaded for me. I have sat on the initial loading screen for 10 minutes at a time on multiple occasions over my time using Minnesota Energy Resources. This paired with website issues has made it a consistent challenge to pay my bill in a timely fashion.
Why is it hard?
Sorry, this app is not easy to use. 1. I’ve got two accounts … the app says it has linked them … but no information on second account. 2. I had auto pay set up … but a MN Energy CSR inadvertently shut it down … now I’m in the app and it says it’s in place? What gives … why do I have to waste my time chasing this down?
Can’t submit a meter reading
I have to read my own meter. The only thing I wanted this app for was to be able to Submit A Meter Reading, but it doesn’t do that.

The worst app EVER
This app does not fit the iPad screen, is totally unusable when trying to access forgotten password. What a piece of trash. And that’s putting it nicely.
Payment options
The only downfall I have with the app is in the payment section. I have to have either a MasterCard or Discover Card. I have neither. I have a Visa Debit card

They are the worst. Awful experience. Avoid them if you can and save yourself time and avoid frustration.

Rudimentary UI, inexplicable payment system
App allows payment of bills via Apple Pay, but inexplicably blocks American Express cards. They accept Amex on their website, so it’s not like they lack the infrastructure to use that payment network. Fees for electronic payments are egregious. UI is rudimentary and ugly - looks like someone tried to build an iOS 7 app but using only React libraries.
So far So Good
Seams to be working, let’s hope MERC can keep the bugs out of this app.
Wrong billing
I connected service in Bemidji MN November 2023. When I opened the account your system added an account I closed and sold six years ago. Then your system took $291 from my checking for that old closed account. This was a mistake on your side of the business. You now owe me $292 because of your customer service wrongfully tying that old closed account to my present address. That old account was closed in 2019 and sold to other people. Now your customer service people tell me they can’t credit that wrongful billing to my correct account. I know by Minnesota law you have 10 days to return wrongfully billed accounts when it was your error. I think this disgraceful business practice Michael Monsrud

It’s so good that it help to know when it gets paid and it gives you a notification in telling me when it needs to by Paid for example it says “ your amount is do in five days “ it’s so convenient for sure needs to download

Worked great right away. Stopped working, won’t allow me to log in, change password, anything. Removed app to re download in hopes of that working. Now can’t reload it but it is deleted from Home Screen. MERC has no idea. Any help?We

Downloaded the app, tried to register. I then entered the verification code sent to my email, exactly as it appeared. “Verification code is incorrect”.... three times in a row with three different codes, each one copied exactly right. Ain’t nobody got time for this.

Who doesn't take visa!?!?
Downloaded this app because it's convient... but who doesn't take a Visa card? That is so dumb!! I ended up having to pay over the phone and there I can use a visa. Like WTH? So dumb
