What people like

What they complain about
- Alarm sounds are too quiet or ineffective
- Timer keeps running when you switch apps
- No Apple Watch support yet
LOVE this
Simple. Effective. How ketchup SHOULD be in the states. Thank you, FT! So effective I was able to focus long enough to write this review!
Good, but some sounds are disturbing/inappropriate
I like the app. It helps me. The VISUAL design is great...But the AUDIO, unfortunately, is poorly selected. I am fine with the non vocal noises that seem to come from a clock/telephone; but I DO NOT LIKE how when I press start, I hear a man's GRUNTING and COUGHING. It doesn't seem appropriate.
Simple, functional, pleasing
Focus Tomato is easy to use as a timer, has space for short narrative notes if desired for each segment of time spent, does not require setting a goal first, allows time to keep running and be recorded so if I’m on a roll I can keep going but still keep track of time spent on a task or project. The art is minimums but delightful. The alert sounds same.
Türkçe veya İngilizce yok
Uygulama Çince lütfen İngilizce yapın veya Türkçe
Love it but..
I would prefer it to have an automatic shift between focus and break periods. Also the sounds are horrible lmao it would be interesting to have a wider variety of sounds:)
Timeline not adjustable
I cannot adjust the time feature on the timeline to line up tasks. It sets all task to happening immediately (even simultaneously). It works as a 25min/5min timer only. Update: The rotating drop-down menu where you select the time spins back to the current time. It won’t allow changes.
❤️
I love it I love it I love it
Back to study
Can you please change the “oh no!” notification-which comes after the break timer- to something better because it makes me feel so unmotivated.
Love it with one suggestion
App is great and I love the art! Would give it 5 stars if it could make use of Live Activities and Dynamic Island on the newer iPhones.
What did I pay for?
Like the design and stuff but I really don’t understand why I bought an app if I cannot use all the features in the full version? I’d really like to get an audio notification when my time’s up. Really disappointed to have spent money now...

Upgrade didn’t work
Nothing changed.
iPad Horizontal
1 star until horizontal iPad update. Will update when addressed.
Please add a widget option!
Great app!! Simple and to the point but still aesthetically pleasing. I would love an option to add a widget to my homescreen!
cost about 2 US dollars to get the stats, and that is it
This app has a pause option that my earlier app doesn’t, so I download this one, and I am very stupid to pay for 2bucks to see the stats. The upgraded version is not that upgraded, to be honest. And actually hate that face in the tomato, very creepy. The major issue is this app keeps counting down, even when I am using other apps
Came for a timer, stayed for the humor

Love it. BUG? Can’t turn off coffee shop white noise.
I’ve been using this for a year and love it. But I experimented with the white noise coffee shop and can’t find the place to turn it off.
Good app but…
Using too much power in background.
Simple, yet Packed with Excellent Design
In a world of many productivity apps and pomodoro timers, this one stands out. Compared to other apps in this genre, this app has a lot of character. The UI deviates from the cut-and-dry minimalism that many other apps have with vintage illustrations and unique typography. It’s a breath of fresh air. The timer for both work and break are easily adjustable, and the ambient sound options are fantastic (big fan of Library and Coffee Shop). The sounds for the buttons are a great touch. And come on, the tomato has a face! I love him!
Very good, but...
Very good, effective and funny app. The only thing, that is lacking, is the possibility to assign different tasks or categories... I hope so much, that it will come someday...
Good app
I really enjoy this app. Very simple and does the job. I would love it if you could also make it compatible with Apple Watch in the future!
Best pomodoro app out there!
It’s fun, easy, and gets the job done
Nice little timer
Bought the full app on sale. It’s a cute little timer with some ye olde timey graphics. 4 stars because the English leaves a bit to be desired.
Good but…
Please add the option for it to keep counting if you open another app! I do work on my phone and I don’t like how it assumes I’m just on social media and will stop counting if I change the tab.
sorun
thissss is so rad
yes get the app
Exactly what you need
Exactly what you need, nothing more, nothing less. From the first time I used this app, I was able to mitigate my ADHD symptoms and actually get some productive studying done.
A very solid pomodoro timer for developers
Pluses: 1. Time fall through is great. Yes, it sort of defeats the strict nature of pomodoro but pomodoro whole purpose is to help us be productive. If I’m on a roll, I wanna keep going. 2. Visuals are great. A joy to use. 3. Notification sounds actually make me smile. 4. Audio player is a surprisingly good. Took me a while to find it but that’s a fault of UI being too seamless ;) 5. Premium features are cheap and optional, I opted in but features are additive. Minuses: 1. No options. You like the way it was before update? Tough luck, there's no option to reverse the change (eg. Time now displayed in hours and minutes, used to be just minutes) 2. Can't change start of the week, always Sunday. 3. Time being synced to a server is weird. Nit picky nuances 1. Clicking done after rest timer has finished sets finished time to current instead of when it actually ended. 2. No rest timer fallthrough 3. No way to export data 4. Uses general volume for notifications instead of notifications’ volume. If you’re using in app audio feature, expect some very loud coughs :) 5. No notifications controls. Can’t stop a timer from a banner. 6. No watch app. None of these is a deal breaker, still a great app. 100% worth giving it a try.
Please add widgets
Love this app especially how you could customize the tag on each focus, and of course the art ;) please add the widgets tho! It’d be so much more helpful if it can be added to the lock screen so that we can see what’s going on in the back without keeping the screen time running, and with just one click return to the app. Thank you!!
Beautiful app but...
I really liked the app, especially for the illustrations and the sounds but I don’t understand why when I finish my break and press ‘focus 25’ button, it starts from 12 minutes and 30 seconds. Also other apps have more free features like setting timer in a calender and groups etc. At least you could’ve put a more orginised list of the tasks we accomplished or not, in the free version.
