Almost Perfect…
Dark Mode is Great! Checklists need autosave, especially for premium. Checklist input needs to be processed faster. Would be cool to see the app leverage widgets as well.
Dead app?
Is this app dead? The team rocket line ups have not updated. I have reinstalled the app already. Cliff has shadow magikarp and Arlo has mawile in game but the app shows Cliff has larvitar and Arlo has wobbuffet.
Level Up Calculator is Out of Date
Level cap changed back in October 2025 from 50 to 80, can’t enter current level over 49 to calculate how much XP is needed to get to the requested level properly.

Amazing game it’s just you should add where you can find Pokémon in your town or city other then that perfect app!
Lame
No instructions and half leads to a broken website. Annoying even after paying for no commercials, Leak Duck website has the same stuff except for a few that are not intuitive and lead to a website that redirects to unavailable YouTube.
needs an update
Would like to see the app make use of time sensitive notifications (eg, spotlight hour), dark mode icons, et cetera
Good app but no regular content updates
It’s a very good app but the content within the app is not frequently updated. Raid bosses etc are almost always late.
Mostly useful
App used to be up to date on in game changes (rocket boss lineups, raids, eggs). It has not been lately. Also no max raid lineups.

Great, but missing something
I think the biggest feature this app is missing is the current spawns for the hemisphere and event, though that mig require a lot of extra work.
Lacking updates
Owners of this app no longer keep upcoming raid events up to date as was the case in the past. Now I frequently have to go elsewhere to find out what new raid bosses are about to appear.
Update your rocket lists
Decent app, but they really need to keep on top of updates. Rocket leaders not updated in ages for example

This is the best
Pay the premium and still get hit with ads?!?
What is wrong with this developer? I pay a monthly fee and yet you still include advertising? Not cool!
It’s very useful and easy to use how ever…
The app has a few bugs and glitches for me because when I tap pvp while reviewing yvetal it kicks me off you know, so please fix these.
Some what helpful
The notifications and Pokédex are very helpful. The guide contains a checklist; however, if you check anything off it doesn’t keep your selection.
Open/shut down
A great app! BUT… for the past several months, it shuts down after several seconds, every single time, no matter how many times you restart it, making it barely usable. Yes the app and my OS are up to date. I did look for a way to inform the developer but this seems to be the only way.
Love this for my Calendar
One request is to see if there is a way to have a calendar set as default when adding to your calendar. It always selects Work and I have a designated Pokemon calendar that I put all the activities on that is shared with my family. Otherwise I have really enjoyed using the app to keep up with all the activities that are going on.
Resets Game
I have an iPhone 12 and this game takes up too much memory to use this and Pokmon GO at the same time. I use the field guide for two seconds and my Pokemon GO has to reset and load itself again. I missed out on a Gabit because of this app. I assume its due to the ads and the app having to call the Silph Road website API to provide information like current field research tasks and current in-game events. Terrible app to use.
Upcoming events
I was wondering why the next seasons Community days have been added but the Hoenn Event hasn’t been added.
Very good free version, unnecessary restart
The app is fantastically useful and up-to-date. But the free version randomly forces a restart even when all the event detail is accurate. Annoying users into buying the app is poor design.
It okay
I’m a noob so all this is rather new to me. I do know that the Ditto list needs updating. I caught my Ditto a couple weeks ago catching Oddish and a friend caught Koffing and it changed to Ditto. There is a lot going on with this app which is why I’ve Int rated 3 stars. Perhaps when I get more experience under my belt and understand it more I’ll give it more star rating.
Trainer’s #1 asset
Pokémon go,a masterfully executed game that is played during real time. Weather casual or full-time player this app will give you the tools you need to accomplish whatever the game presents.
Time wasters
Too many time wasters just trying to gain friends for gifts before assisting themselves and others to win raids. Feeling very disappointed.
Good app
Has room for improvement. Could be much better, but definitely a must have for Pokémon go players.
Good app HORRIBLE ad placement for iPhone 11
Started using the app and I really love the options to it all. Very well thought out but it has a real issue when an add pops up. The X to close the add is top left of the screen so far up and to the left that it’s essentially off the screen. I cannot close the add without completely shutting down the app. There is zero way of clearing it. If an ad comes up and there is zero way of returning to your ap that’s a pretty big issue.
Love this app but lost all my data
I really enjoy using this app to keep track of events and my Pokemon. I’m not sure if it’s because I got a new phone but I just noticed my checklists are all empty :( is there anyway to fix this?

SO THE BEST
Too big too slow
The app is too big in RAM and causes the Pokémon app to force close in the background when switching. On top of that, the app is slow to operate. Tap something and then lagggggg then it opens the new page. Good info, but this app is half baked. I wouldn’t pay to support this unless it had VAST improvement.
Well Organized Environment
This application is great for event organization, planning, and has good details that are concise and are to the point. Things are listed easily in an organized and simple format and the banner notifications have been timed well and are highly helpful. But I do have a couple of complaints that would save this from a 4 rating: 1. Spelling, punctuation, and grammar — There could be a few lessons learned from this. Maybe would be good to review posts or appoint fluent English writers that may be able to present information in a better way. 2. Missing information within the Event Spawns section — Might be good to verify and include information for what will spawn during an event, along with what can be shiny or not shiny. 3. Adding personal notes to events — For instance, on the Cresselia Raids coming up soon, I would like a feature where I’d be able to add my own notes for what makes a good Cresselia or how many trainers in my group would be enough to defeat it handily. Other than that, awesome application. No big gripes.
Great resource, intrusive ads
This is a fantastic resource for Pokémon Go. It has all of the information an enthusiastic collector might need. However, there are actions in the app (like saving your Pokédex checklist) that trigger ads that seem to have no way to exit apart from force killing the app and restarting. It’s very nearly a deal-breaker, and I see no way to turn them off (even with a purchase).
This is a recurring problem.
The problem with not being able to save your progress in your checklists seems to partially resolved. Now when you are presented with an irresolvable ad, your progress at least gets saved BEFORE you are forced to restart the app.
Great app but
The “best pvp” page often fails to load entirely. Otherwise its a super helpful app
Ads
I get that ads are necessary. But when there is a tiny “x” in the upper left corner, I CAN’T CLICK IT! I can tap until my finger goes numb and it does nothing. I am forced to close the app out completely then go back in.. I-phone XS. If not for that, definitely 5⭐️

Research tasks haven’t been accurate for quite some time.
Still in need of features
I heard this app used to lack updates but is now regularly updated so that’s cool. I would like to see more options for friend codes such as; mobile raids invites/joins, frequently online/online times. It would be nice to be able to search for specific friend code types even at the cost of watching an add. That could allow more users to watch adds who don’t want to watch 15 adds to list their trainer code and might even be able to reduce the adds watched to a more reasonable number. Please don’t think I’m just taking shots at features I want and complaining. It seems like a well done app with lots of good information available and easy to navigate.

Good summary, but notifications come too late
I’m not in the USA time zones - notifications arrive the day after the event here, so don’t work as a reminder NOT to miss times events. The summary on what’s coming up is good though - very comprehensive

Shiny Rates
I feel like you should add a shiny rates option or something. I think that a lot of people would appreciate that.

First I just want to say, I never write reviews. How ever I feel very compelled to leave this review. It is perfect and has EVERYTHING I was looking for IN A VERY productive easy to use way. It’s quite frankly perfect. Please keep it the way it is forever.
GO Field Guide does it mostly right
GO Field Guide keeps track of everything for me all in one place: events, eggs, research, you name it. I wish I’d known about this sooner. The checklists need some work. Sometimes the color change from unselected to selected is far too subtle. This makes the checklists unusable. Some of the icons are incorrect, too. For example, the icon for “raticate shiny” is really the icon for “raticate party hat”. I’d like a way to “favorite” eggs and field research so that I could pull up those sections and easily see which ones I want. For example, there’s currently only 4 field research tasks I’m interested in, so I’d like to put those four at the top of the list when I’m in the field research section.
