Well this is handy
I hope there are enough weirdos like me who travel a lot and want to seek out local roasters. This app is what I’ve been looking for.
Never would work
App Never would work
Decent Espresso
Open early by Malaga standards, but nowhere to sit
Nice, but classic money grab
The app was great, until I had panned around on the map a bit too much (apparently). Now when I click on the button to search in a given area the subscription button pops up. That renders it useless, unless I want to pay for a subscription. I get hiding features like “open now” and “best rated” behind a paywall, but really, having to pay just to pan around on the map? This is a classic “free” app which is only free for the first 10 minutes (or so it seems) and then becomes useless without a subscription. I certainly will stick with the European Coffee Trip App when traveling around Europe. As for North America, well, my hope was that this would be the one… It’s a pity…
Coffee shop owner
Hi - how do I claim a shop as my own? I reached out to your support mail but no response from you
I love this app! Use it all the time
The app is a great concept. I just wish there was more reviews in and there wasn’t a buy in because of how few reviews there are. Great for big cities and roadtrips
This costs £20
This app costs £20 for the full and only even remotely useful version. Make sure you know that before you download.
Better selection
Loving the app since the early days and lately thinking to buy a subscription, but lately I see more and more coffee shops that’s shouldn’t be on this app. They are really bad, with low google maps reviews as well. Also some maps of cities now have so many places that look exactly like google maps and you can’t trust the service. Try to improve your approval of coffee shops otherwise the app won’t be helpful anymore. ☺️
Limited by Subscription
An app like could be a great tool for someone like me who travels often, especially in areas where good coffee can be difficult to find. By making the app app limited to subscription or a £20(!) price tag without a free with ads version you shrink the amount of information that would make this app as useful and inclusive as it should be. Furthermore, by not even allowing a free trial it is impossible for me to know if this will work in the areas I’m hoping for.
Super nice app!
Very nice app, the reason I’m not adding the last two stars is because miss many coffee shops & roasters, also around the world. Other than that, if people tells them more places can be a very nice app, also very organise.
Perfect guide for coffee lovers
Great app! It’s become my go-to for finding coffee shops when I travel.
Lame
Won’t show me more than 4 coffee places without paying money. The four I can see don’t have reviews or photos. Not worth the time it took to download.
A good start. Needs info input.
A good start. Needs more info input about local venues
Pro banner on every action
Haven’t used for a while and checking again in a new city I visit I was disappointed to see everything is behind a paywall now and you’re cut by the pro banner constantly
Great design but does not include most important places
Certain cities have some places on the map which are good but they don't include the top ones who are leading specialty coffee game. It’s strange that those places are not included as they are also the easiest to find online even if you are new to the city but i guess the short time traveler that just arrived to the city will still have to search on google to get the nearest available specialty coffee place
Best for travelers!
Roasters is one of my top travel apps. I am always on the lookout for great coffee shops with exciting coffees and I’ve found so many using this app all across the US and Europe. The lifetime subscription is a steal and it helps support an incredible business with the best mission of all: great coffee.
Where’s the value?
Struggling to find any value in this app. It’s google maps but just cafes but no reviews so it’s worse. 1. Limited maps, which free google maps gives you all of this. I wish I could find something worth keeping this app but what am I missing?
Essential travel app
Love this concept. I travel full time and have a serious passion for specialty coffee. So this app helps me locate coffee in each city I visit. However, my biggest frustration is the selection. I’m not sure how they determine whether to include a cafe or not. The definition of specialty coffee seems blurry. Too many listings where coffee is secondary to food. Too many times I’ve visited a listing hoping for pour over coffee and find only batch brew, or worse only milk coffees. Would be great to have some transparency on their selection process. To finish on a high note, I really love that I can save visits. It’s like a little coffee journal. Probably my favorite feature.
Great App - New "Pro" kills it
I loved using the app in new places like Eindhoven, Berlin or Stockholm. It was the best way to find high-quality coffee stores easily! As use this app not on a daily base, the new payment abo ($2,9 per month) kills this app for me. Really a pity !!!
great app for 3rd wave
I have been using this app since 2023: became an ambassador and have been pushing it to every coffee shop I go because it is the best way to leave mainstream coffee and go to the places that have experienced baristas and better coffee overall
Immediate Paywall & Empty Content
Quite a bad app. As soon as you download it, it demands money to continue. I decided to try the monthly payment because I was unsure, and I was absolutely right, if I had paid for the yearly subscription, it would have been an even bigger waste. There is almost no valuable content in the app. All of the suggestions and reviews are generated by users, so you can just check google maps lol. There are even cafe listings without photos or reviews that have the wrong address too. The app owners appear to be making a business from nothing, as they clearly do not curate the content or fix errors. It feels like a scam.
As of right now…
App is very limited at the moment. Needs a lot of improvement
The Game Changer
While traveling Finding unique specialty coffee roasters use to be real struggle, with RSTRS app simply add the city name and be amazed
No preview
I can’t see *anything* without first paying $10. For all I know there are no shops around me at all. I’d love to have an idea of what this might have to offer around me beyond Maps, and am not willing to gamble $10. Put in some effort to sell me, I’m not buying on a blind promise.
Great coffee shop app!
Great app for finding, logging, & keeping lists/notes of coffee shops. Owners of shops love it too and don’t feel it is a money grab like other similar apps - this app feels personal, designed and made by true coffee lovers! I paid for pro version and love the ability to save my visits and add private notes - it’s becoming a digital coffee journal for me!

Not very good for US
The coffee community needs this
A barista friend turned me onto this app, and it’s been immensely helpful for crowdsourcing coffee shops while traveling. I generally don’t review apps, but I very much want this app to succeed!
Not very functional
There’s no place to input my phone number and it’s hard to navigate
Great app!
This is a great app I use all the time as I travel a lot.
Can’t even try without paying
This was suggested to me by someone I met in a coffee shop. I downloaded it to try it out, but couldn’t even try one search without having to pay. I have no problem paying for apps if I can see how they work, and if I can try it to see if it is worth paying for.
Found Great Coffeehouse on My Road-trip
While at dinner in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA this week, I sat wondering where I would get my specialty coffee tomorrow morning! I paused, then realized Roasters.app will have the answer for me. Voila! Two blocks from my hotel was Mohala Roasters. I had my answer and could not wait to wake up to try a new cold brew at Mohala!
