Great
Wonderful product and the app always works great for me. Just wish it was unlimited uses. My new insurance doesn’t cover it so refills can get spendy, especially when using preventatively.
The App is more glitch than not
Out of all of the times i’ve tried to use this device more than half it has not worked due to various glitches. There is a real irony in using this for migraine prevention and trying to get it to work stressing me out so much that I get a migraine. If this does not get worked out in the next month there is no way I can rationalize refilling it. Total bummer, I had high hopes.
Easy to use
The app is very easy to use. It takes you through step by step instructions on how to set everything up which is extremely helpful. There is a major design flaw that doesn't help the migraine attack tracking aspect. The device can be used for prevention and acute treatment. The app only asks about about your migraine pain when you start a treatment and for how many hours, not if you are completing a prevention treatment. If you are completing a prevention treatment you may not have pain, therefore the questions are invalid and making the migraine tracker inaccurate. Another design flaw, having to scan the NFC while it's on you it's pretty difficult when it doesn't want to scan all the time. Then, you have to Velcro the band up before the app times out and tells you to scan again because you took too long to start the treatment. There needs to be more wait time between scanning and starting the treatment before the app times out.
The most annoyingly frustrating experience
To the manufacturers of this device, I want to know: did you actually ask people who HAVE migraines what this user experience is like? Because let me tell you, it’s trash. People with migraines have limited brain function so having to constantly be troubleshooting is less than ideal. If you’re actually ABLE to get your nfc to scan to begin a treatment at all, let alone on the first try, you better be moving at the speed of sound to get that attached to your arm because guess what?!?!?! It times out in 0.36 seconds so then you have to lather rinse repeat. I have no idea if it even works because by the time it’s finally functional, you’re outside of 60 minute migraine start window. I’m going to keep trying because I have no other options but yall really need to get it the eff together.
Can’t do symptom questionnaires
The “done” button on the symptom questionnaire that pops up after initiating a treatment session is rendered inactive due to being layered with the intensity +/- buttons. It cannot be pressed. I can’t use this function, and that really reduces the usefulness of the app for me.

I have suffered from migraines every 8 weeks since I was a baby. I’ve been on countless pills and medications that never worked or made me feel worse. My neurologist recommended this product to me. At first I was like how could this be good. Trust me it helps. I went from every 8 weeks to maybe 6-7 months and for a shorter period of time. If you have migraines or constant headaches this is something that is amazing.
Worst Design Possible
This device has the worst design possible. Before use, you must make sure that the device is charged. Then paired to your phone via Bluetooth. And of course the app must be downloaded and signed into. Then the electrodes need to be stuck to your arm. After which you do some NFC pairing and if that is successful, you attach the device to the electrodes and the attach an arm band to hold in place. Then use the app to control the session. The worst part for me is the NFC pairing absolutely frustrating. I’ve only gotten it to work twice. Imagine going thru this process with a migraine starting. Argh!!!!
Post Assessment Treatment does not work
Every time you click on post assessment treatment, you get the never ending spinning wheel and it never loads. I’m not sure what else there is to say to the developers other than to look into the issue. There just needs to be an update for bug fixes cause everytime you click on “view post assessments” it gives you the spinning wheel of ☠️
Audiovisual components missing
I’m a long term user and will not buy Nerivio anymore, the audiovisual component doesn’t load in the latest version of the app. What a bummer, it used to be helpful.
Work on it
Needs work. When it’s time to leave an assessment review, the app doesn’t stay open long enough.
The Nerivio device saved me from tons of medication
At last, I have a migraine treatment that doesn't make me sleepy, exhausted, and feel like my jaw will be dislocated (tnx to rizatriptan, yikes!). I’ve had migraines since I was 5 years old and I’ve had all kinds of triggers during the 35 years. I’ve tried everything, trust me. Nerivio works—I am a true fan!
WARNING Child account issues
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR KIDS UNTIL APP IS IMPROVED!! We got the Nerivio for my son, don’t know if it works or not as getting a child account is terrible and haven’t gotten it paired. My son does not have an email or phone number and you have to use a separate email for the child, we deleted the extra account we were trying to make for him and that was linked to it and then you can’t use it. They told me it is a known problem that you can’t undelete an account and sent me a new one for free. We tried to set it up again and my husband accidentally deleted it again trying to set up our son’s account and now customer service Daviana says I shouldn’t have deleted it and that I have to pay for a new one. We haven’t even used it once. The app technology is terrible, what a waste. We aren’t stupid, but if it is that easy to accidentally make the same mistake twice and NOTHING they can do to fix it then they need to work on this known issue! And not make the customer pay for their lack of fixing this problem.
Pretty good so far but unable to do the post treatment assessments which is frustrating
Everytime I click on “post treatment assessment” or I get a notification telling me to complete it when i’m out of the app, the page doesn’t load and is stuck with the never ending circle of death and am unable to fill out the assessment. I tried restarting and closing the app and everything and to no avail. Really liked this feature as it tells me if the device is working or not. Hope to see it fixed soon. But other than that great app so far. Love the videos and diary.
Works but pricy
I have to do 2 treatments in a row to get rid of my migraines and you only have a handful of treatments per devise. There should be a way to charge the devise and refill from app at a reduced price vs buying a new one each time. I would also recommend allowing the treatment to be stopped and resumed at any point for remaining time left….if you pay for 15 treatments of 45mins you should get that amount of time.

Device works good but the app won’t open at times really is bad when you have a migraine.

I want to thank you for creating this device. At the time I needed it I was so blessed to know of its existence and that I wouldn’t have to have something similar placed in my brain attached to wires in my buttocks with a five year battery replacement: surgically! Scary stuff for sure. I refused to use narcotics after 20 + years and began my search for help thru many forms of relief. Including acupuncture, chiropractic, medicines, teas, sleep, relaxation music/techniques, food diets/allergens, counseling,etc. I even took to drawing 20cc’s of blood to relieve the pressure/pain. After eleven months of this path I became increasingly agitated with the lack of relief and side effects. I gained 30 pounds from two of the non narcotic medicines , hair loss, problems with my skin versus acne, insomnia, etc. I am 63. the side effects from the Nerivio created electrical impulses to over react in my hands and feet. It would go away eventually. But not the stupid headaches/ migraines. I continued to have rebounding. It was a blessing that you lowered the price for me because I haven’t had insurance for a couple of years. The company I worked for at the time offered it but it complimented the out of state providers and the costs weren’t conducive to practical measures of use here in Utah. So it wasn’t worth the purchase. I wrote all this to say: thank goodness for being here for us. doesn’t work
i received nerivio a few days ago and had high hopes for migraine relief. unfortunately, the unit doesn’t work. it is impossible to get the unit to synch with the adhesive pad. it won’t recognize the pad and the it times out and the process has to be started again from the beginning. instead of providing migraine relief, it adds to the pain due to the stress and frustration of trying to get the machine to work.
Live Activity’s
The app looks beautiful but is lacking live activity’s for when you exit the app.
It doesn’t come on!!
After completing all the work up with the arm ban to work, i turn the device on also with my telephone and nothing happened. Now you’re thinking that this is a waste I have a migraine I’m trying to do something about it and I go to put on my arm band in the machine does it come off? Very frustrating now my headaches, and now my migraine is worse. I tried this for the last three days and I can’t get the machine to connect to my cell phone. what is there to do. do I have a faulty arm band please respond.

Wonderful medication free product
I am really loving the nerivio device. As someone who suffers chronic migraines it's nice to know that there are companies out there who finally care about improving the lives of folks with migraines and nerivio is one of them. For me, this device is best used at the onset of an attack. When I can tackle it head on I usually don't need any additional medication or maybe an aleve at most. I also love the app itself. Really well designed, user intuitive, and nailed the UX (thanks designers!) keep up the good work. I've been spreading the word about this device because it's been such a game changer for me.
Confirmation email?!
It would be great to actually use the device but unfortunately you require a confirmation of email and despite having tried with different email addresses each time I tried to create an account. I don’t actually receive the confirmation email so I can’t actually get past the account creation screen… great job guys!! If I could give an app negative reviews (-5 stats for dunderhead bug) I would.
I’m glad I have this
I used Nerivio preventatively every other day for six months as a part of a study. I kept up with the daily dairy every day. No problems with the app, but the preventative treatment did not work for me. NOW, I use it for acute migraines with the guided imagery, and it helps a lot. BUT, the daily tracking dairy has become infuriating. Almost every day, I have to redo the dairy to get the info stick. It never did that before. It is already time consuming to do every day, and then to have to do it multiple times is crazy. AND, sometimes it just won’t stick for a day no matter how many times I do it. All that being said, I’m very glad to have Nerivio especially with the guided imagery. It is the new frontier for chronic pain.
Constantly crashes…
I’ve had this app since I started needing to see a migraine specialist due to long COVID in about 3/2022. I’m to use this app to track headaches. A few days before my follow-up appts, I’m supposed to upload the data to send to my Dr so they can look at it ahead of time. Each time I have to do this, this app crashes more & more. My last 2 appts took forever bc I couldn’t upload the info ahead of time & so we just had to wait for this app to work at my appt. Every time I update this app, I hope for the bugs to be worked out, but no. It gets even worse, crashing more often. I really wish Hartford Healthcare would let me use a different app. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 bc it uploaded fine the 1st 2 times.

I have suffered with migraine headaches for years and have tried many medications but I truly find that this helps to reduce the amount of days I have them. Thanks so much for an awesome device!
Worthless…..
Absolutely worthless app followed up by absolute worthless product. No customer support. Don’t know if this item works or not because none of this works. Don’t waste your money.
New update now glitchy
I have been using the Nerivio for a year with no problems from the app, until the latest app update. Now the classic acute treatment video loses sound randomly. It is distracting when trying to fully relax during treatment. Please repair.
App needs work
The device itself is a brilliant concept, but the app is fury-inducing. I usually have to reboot my phone at least once to get it to connect and I have a newer iPhone. It often gives me messages that it’s not set up, or that I don’t have permissions, even though neither are true. I think the device experience would be much better if the app was not such a pain.

When I try sign up. And I get verify letter. I click on Link “confirm account “. And see next message “ UH-OH.. Looks like Something went wrong” I try sign up with 2 device and it doesn’t helped
Device awesome, app okay
The Nerivio device is wonderful BUT the functionality of the app is only mediocre. It often freezes when I try to open it, so I have to remove it and reinstall it. That’s annoying but fine when I’m home. But if I’m somewhere with no internet access, I’m out of luck and in for a migraine attack.
Beware, not a software product
Each device has 12 forty five minute sessions. If for any reason you cannot complete every minute of treatment (e.g. such as bad software design, software bugs, or miss understood instructions) your only recourse is to return the device. I found that pausing the session for > 5 minutes cancels the session while still deducting 1 session from the paid total. When I complained, the customer reps acted like it was my fault. This is completely UNLIKE software items purchased through the Apple Store. Unable to get the full treatment I paid for, I returned the device for a refund.
Helps my migraines!!!
It’s so exciting to have a non drug option for my chronic migraines. Most of the time Nerivio completely eases my migraines and if not it helps quite a lot. Whenever I’ve had problems with the device the help line staff are very kind, patient and understanding.
Not Functional
I have been dealing with debilitating migraines for four years now, so I turned to Nerivio. It took months for my device to arrive, and the app continually crashes when I attempt to connect my device. There’s no point.
Very difficult to connect but treatment works as a daily treatment
I spend 15-20 minutes every time I want to do a treatment trying to connect this thing to my phone. I then want to throw the entire thing across the room, vs staying calm and meditative, which is the state in which one should be for this. For the love of all that is good, if it’s apple or this app, not sure , but it’s more painful than poking my eyeballs with needles. However, I have chronic migraine disease, which means I get 15+/month so the goal is to do this daily. When I do that I think I’m reducing the frequency and intensity, so thank you to the developers. I do the treatment in combination with meditation and visualization, visualizing the migraines permanently being removed from my body. I think it does help. Best of luck to others! 🙏🏻😀❤️
Great for Reducing Sumatriptan Use
A lifelong migraine sufferer, I’ve been using the Nerivio Device and it’s App for 2-3 years now whenever I feel a migraine coming on. I had never liked the way I felt on Sumitriptan or Imitrex, which didn’t always work, and am very glad to have found a treatment that works just as often without the unwanted side effects.
This is useless
This is useless product. Whenever I have migraine when I use Nerivio my headache never go away. I have to take rescue medicine. What is the purpose of using this if headache doesn’t go away. This is waste money , waste of time, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Great beginning but now slipping in effect
Now on fourth refill. Initial effectiveness very good but most recent uses no where as consistent. Frequently left with soft nausea or left over headache. Headaches more frequent — almost daily— which may account for decreased effectiveness

Overpriced, wasteful design, horrible customer service
I was really hoping to have an option to help my migraines without a medication.But there are so many things wrong with this device. 1) It only turns on/starts a treatment when connected to the app, so an IOS update left it useless when needed. It’s also really difficult to use my phone while I have a migraine. Honestly the very last thing I want to do is look into any light source. 2) There are only 12 treatments per device. This seems incredibly arbitrary and wasteful. And expensive. 3) It has to work with the app, but by design (per customer service) also automatically disconnects from the app “for your convenience” during a treatment. So when I needed to adjust the intensity level, I couldn’t, because it was not responding. I had to reset the 45 minute treatment after only 20 minutes because it was too intense, but the app was not responding. I was docked a full treatment. I thought it was a glitch because the counter didn’t immediately show this, and assumed customer service would help. Nope. I was basically told it was my fault. I asked for a credit of one treatment and they insisted that I had used two full treatments in a row and that I should read the directions. 4) The design of the app turning off during treatment negates its necessity. A simple power button and intensity control button would be so much easier to use during a migraine! The features in the app (a calendar of treatments and questions about pain levels, etc) are difficult to use when looking into the phone feels like a pickaxe into my brain. I don’t think the developers considered the needs of the end users, and just went for the oooh it’s an app controlled fancy new expensive bells and whistles bs. Do one focus group with actual patients and I am sure the consensus will be that none of the features beyond the actual treatment is helpful. So go for it if you want to blow $100 for possibly 12 (maybe fewer if it disconnects) treatments that are not be available anyway because IOS updated and the app won’t work anymore.
Never believed this would work
I’ve had migraines since elementary school and now I’m a grandma. I’ve tried everything. My treatment plan now is the best I’ve had, but I still get migraines. My doc gave me Nerivio as a trial. I didn’t think much of it at first, but then they added the guided imagery and that made all the difference in the world for me. I almost always get a positive result and feel better. I think I’d do even better if I didn’t wait so long, but I just read some insurance companies may cover treatments. That will be great! Anything that works and isn’t a medication is top notch in my book. Thanks Nerivio. I’m not often impressed especially being a Nurse.
