Brutal redesign
This was the most elegant and nicely designed app ever. One big switch that just did what it was supposed to do Now the big switch shows a popup menu and doesn’t switch when you hit it. It shows two names for same thing (pause and disable mean the same thing…). It shows a random hex code at the bottom of the screen (I assume my user id) as if that’s important information for me to have all the time. Please “switch” it back
Went to Control D
This app didn’t update for 5 years.. this was concerning me. But without doubt a great DNS and features, but switched to Control D because of the activity of the company, being active..
Goated
Best dns only thing is it has a limit but it resets ea ch month so its so good
Rxtra bad
Sometimes it works very well but sometimes it doesn’t even works🤟🏻
Doesn’t work half the time
Sometimes it just stops working… kinda annoying. Other than that it’s great though!!

Was great until yall decided to add costs to everything im disappointed
Very helpful
This app blocks adds so it’s very good. And though it might block innocent things. It works
I hate it
How can I delete it

Nice DNS
Not working on 16.0.2
I cannot enable this app due to missing "DNS settings" in new iOS
Stopped working. Fixed. Amazing. Thank you.
The new update broke the app for all phones on iOS 17. Not cool.
Support, non-existent and flaky Services
Zero app updates in 4 years I absolutely used to love this service, but unfortunately after putting all my devices on this service, they started to behave peculiarly, for example, websites would not load and emails would not come through on my phone whatsoever, and my phone would seem to be very slow If I disable the DNS and fell back to my normal DNS or Google DNS, everything would work fine once again, it’s a very easy and powerful service but you have no status page - this means if their services do not work, you could not confirm where the problem, so you need to be quite technical to troubleshoot your own problems. I think it is quite inappropriate for a company not to have a status page, especially if you have a business plan, you could rely on their infrastructure for your Internet. Yes, you get the useless “ping” tool - but that only tells you where your nearest server is located. It has nothing to do with connectivity to that server. I have ended up switching back to Google DNS - and my phone and device misbehaviour has magically gone away, it could be absolutely so much better, but if you’re looking for Protection I’d probably recommend you use Umbrella - they have plans for non-corporate customers as well
Could use a Home Screen widget
Works as advertised generally, but the app could use a Home Screen widget in case one needs to toggle it off to allow for a one time exception.
Has stopped working in iOS 13
In my.nextdns.io the state stays red.
It’s okay
It blocked ads for only a few days and YouTube’s ads for hours until the pop-up ads started appearing again. I only recommend this app for temporary use.
surprisingly great!
blocks all ads from games and other apps, sadly not spotify or youtube.. but that’s understandable since they don’t collect any of your data (:
Doesn’t work
I still get in app ads
iOS 15
great service but perturbations since iOS 15.
Fall of nextdns
At least let people know
Nice
Good for afghans now 😜
Service : ++ / app : peut mieux faire
Awesome
This app is amazing! But it doesn’t quite work with YouTube, THANKFULLY I found a way around it. You just gotta open it through a browser.
Doesn’t work
Installed and basically doesn’t work. Possibly due to lack of updating - last one a year ago.
Seems to have lost features
I can’t disable it on a specific wifi network now… the option shows up on some devices but not others. Please fix!! Also there should be a way to prevent uninstallation of the app by kids. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of it.
Very useful but no support
I know it’s still in beta stage but being ignored by support for no reason (at least from my side) is not very professional.
No longer able to exclude networks on iOS 15
Worked perfectly in iOS 14, if not for these current issues I'd be giving 5 stars.
Invaluable.
I confidently consider this the very best app in the store.
Doesn’t block ads at all within apps.
Still see stupid ads in the apple stocks app. It works on iPhone, just not on iPad. Back to drawing board.
Domain exclude list
Great app and service, I love it. But please allow for a domain exclude list. Pretty much the same feature as you have for the wifi exclude list. I would love to exclude some (internal) domains from being sent to NextDNS, otherwise services/servers in such domain become unreadable and I have to go and turn NextDNS off to reach them.
Payment method
Hi, it would be nice to be able to pay through apple store.
Interesting
Five stars! This is a great app clean house with it security and privacy. Less time worrying about who’s spying on you.
Huge battery drain
When I enabled NextDNS, my phone battery empties maybe 3-4 times faster than normal, making the app impossible to use.
App very good. Support less so
Have had this app running on two devices using the free option and it works amazingly well. I’m not against the subscription option but I think I don’t need it. Support I do need and from where I’m sitting the turnaround - via Twitter because I can’t find the chat link on the website - is not so hot.
Battery usage is very high
My battery drains like crazy unfortunately
10/10
Best dns and adblock ive been using for months on my iphone and firestick and my xbox one !!!!! This works the best !!!!!
Don’t get it
I turned it on in the settings, how do I pick custom dns server? The app only has the option to be turned on/off and to go to settings.
Nearly perfect
At home with WLAN there are no DNS leaks. Only the one DNS server used by the app is shown on dnsleaktest.com. However, using the cellular network 3 servers appear: 2 from my ISP + the DNS server used by the app. Is this normal?
