Requires an internet connection to play and is heavy on ads and micro transactions. Far fall from earlier pay for games by the company. If you throw more then $6 USD, you should consider buying the full non predatory versions of their games.
Good game
Went a different direction with this game. I wasn’t sure at first but the more I progressed the more I liked it.
This game feels like it has an identity crisis and progression doesn’t really feel real
The title of the game is Social Dev Story which makes you believe it’s a social media development simulator or a game where you develop phone apps in general but no it’s actually severely watered down Game Dev Story. There’s also no sense of time passing as there was no year system that I could see and progression didn’t feel like something that existed even when a new platform came out. Also Platforms didn’t feel like Platforms at all. They just company names not actual devices. All you do in this game is make something and watch numbers go up for a few seconds then it goes off the market 5”then the cycle repeats. Progress also feels very slow if there even is any here.

If you don’t have patience this game isn’t for you. It takes a long time to start getting somewhere. It’s an overall good game though

Normally I love Kairosoft games. This one however just doesn't have the same magic, for myself at least. Way too many ads, there really aren't any sort of instructions on even the basics so you really have to figure it out by trial and error. If there were a little more effort put into instructions, I can see this game being more playable. as it stands right now however, I deleted it off my phone after three hours of trying to figure it out.
Fun but..
The game is fun but the heavy need of the premium currency “ coins “ ruins the experience.

This game is a lot of fun, with lots of strategy needed to come up with the best combos for games and keeping on top of your finances. It’s a great way to spend my free time. I am loving it a lot, especially training the CEO and customizing them. It would be so cool if that mechanic were to show up in other Kairosoft games!

Addictive but flawed
I do enjoy this game, and I’ve been a fan of Kiarosoft for many years, however, this one has limits. You need friends in order to add levels and I just don’t know anyone who plays this game or would play it so I’m kinda stuck there. The instructions leave a lot to be desired too, it’s taken me around 5 hours to kinda get an idea of what I’m doing.

It’s hard to navigate on this game. I like the other games they make tho. Also compared to their other free to play games this is too limiting it kinda forces you to buy coins to progress in game. Even hiring a staff is freaking hard bukas it’s based on gacha. The grinding ain’t nice.
Big Kairosoft Fan
The game is super addictive and fun to play BUT.. I feel like I can’t progress unless I buy coins which is ok.. only it’s SO EXPENSIVE! $4 for 10 coins!? And it costs 8 coins just to hold a meeting? 25 coins just for ONE upgrade item! Would really like a paid version so that we can pay a 1 time fee and call it a day like your other games :( this sorta ruined it for me

Frustrating to play as FTP
Kinda difficult to understand the game play at the start, but you soon get the hang of it. Frustrating: The bag is waaaaaay too small. It starts off only having 10 (!) slots, and some upgrades need lots of specific items. The only way to upgrade it is with gold coins, which are either very rare, or pay to play. You also only get 2 floors (teams) max if you don’t play with friends, and they also require gold coins to build. This is kairosoft’s worst game for free to play gamers. (I’ve played all of them except the sports and space ones).

I love this game my only complaint is that you can only build more than 2 levels with a friend but it’s so hard to even find a friend that plays this game so if possible please make it easier so that you can find friends through the game like your other game dream house. What is going on?
Big fan of the older model Kariosoft games but as they continue to release these free games something doesn’t add up. This game is called Social Dev but your making video games.... this rag tag group of characters are attacking the ?code? before their computers hurt their chances of making the game properly? The games barely stay on the market and the categories/genres don’t really match up at all. Really confusing mechanics and I’m not quite sure what the final purpose is. I’m going to go back and play Mega Mall Story. At least it makes sense and will be replay-able. Can we get a proper game soon?

This is an addictive game but it takes too long to be able to upgrade staff. This is how you can make better games. You need to be able to upgrade staff a bit quicker or boredom will set in with this game and it will become another app that doesn’t get played. End of revenue income lol.
