The least favorite in the series
I guess I left this game in the series to last for an reason. That reason being I was disappointed that the Detective was male. I like this series for the female detective. Also I was grossly disappointed that the bonus game had nothing to do with the main story and was all about Christmas and Dickens just because that was loosely London related. UPDATE POST DEVELOPER RESPONSE: I see from your response that you have no reading comprehension. I explained I had played all other games in this series and had left this one for last as it was the least appealing. I was correct that it did not live up to all the others THAT I HAD ALREADY PLAYED.

This game had just the right mixture between games and hidden objects. The music was actually nice and the voice actors were far better than many games I’ve played in the past. I will definitely be trying another “Dark City” game!

Usually I can play a podcast at the same time I play a game. This game complete highjacks all the sound.

Die Rätsel sind zu einfach - und die schwierigkeit hoch zu stellen, macht auch keinen Sinn; wirklich schwerer wird es dadurch nicht. Schade, hat durchaus Potential.
Great game
I’m new to this series, and love it. Between the puzzles, graphics and story line, it’s one of the best, in my opinion. One question, is there a certain order I need to play this series or are they independent of each other. Thanks for the great game. I’m playing the London game now.

Läst sich nix vernünftig antippen. Scheiter beinahe schon am ersten Bild. Nicht zum vergrößern der Ansicht vorhanden. Schade, habe nach ein paar Minuten schon keine Lust mehr.
Fun game but too easy
I like the game. Aesthetically very pleasing and great story. But there are too few puzzles ab the ones they had are super easy.
Love friendly fox games
Love developer Friendly Fox, so was surprised to discover a change in unlock payments. Usually for HOP adventure games a one time unlock fee unlocks the main game plus bonus chapter and includes unlimited hints plus strategy guide. With this game, the main game play is one fee. The bonus chapter is another. Hints cost more money for gems and the amount of gems needed to skip a puzzle increase as game play progresses. The more gems purchased, the higher the cost per gem. No strategy guide or player difficulty levels are included. Very disappointing. On the flip side, the story was good and the art was lovely. Had hoped to purchase all the games in this series, but if this is the standard pay format, it’s a hard no on this, Friendly Fox.

Jammer, was veel van hetzelfde. Weinig uitdagend en erg snel uitgespeld. Vrij duur voor deze game, die er qua beeld en grafische vorm ook niet erg vloeiend verloopt. Niet echt een aanrader.

Hey this start out with witchcraft but it lightens up. Nice long game. It’s a large map, and things can get confusing and it gets a bit slow at times. I like the drawing, the story, and most of the puzzles. Very good!

Man it was good until…….
I absolutely loved this game and then ugh I have to pay to continue. Do I have to pay every time it is time for a new level. Na I can’t do that you need to get with the times and get advertising and have adds in your game it would do well then. I would download again but not until then.

Die Grafik hat mir gut gefallen. Beim Spielen habe ich schnell die Lust verloren, weil ich nicht weiterkam. Das Tippen hat nicht funktioniert. Vielleicht muss man das Spiel erst kaufen, aber 6,99€ sind mir zu viel

Keine Kaufempfehlung
Ein gut durchdachtes Spiel, tolle ausgetüftelte Rätsel ABER 6,99 Euro für die Vollversion sind 5 Euro zu viel. Der Spielspaß ist nur von kurzer Dauer, nach 2 Stunden ist die Story zu Ende und die 7 Euro weg...da gibt es weitaus bessere, kostenlose Spiele, wo man einige Zeit mit beschäftigt ist. Schade
So good I’m playing it again!
This was my first Dark City game that I played years ago. It was a wonderful introduction to the genre, and I went on to buy just about every game made by the developer. Being middle aged, I’m now playing the games again because I’ve completely forgotten all the puzzles and story. It’s a great game even on the second pass. If you haven’t played games from this developer before, don’t be scared off by the fact that you have to pay $5.99 to complete the game. They give you a significant taste before you have to pay, and you’ll definitely get hooked. The price is a bargain! Each game is hours and hours and hours of sheer addictive enjoyment! The games are soooooo well done!

Couldn’t work out why there were no reviews besides the 2 unhelpful ones. Downloaded only to find out it is an expensive game. Seems a bit sneaky to pretend to be a free game.

No sound, no tutorial
Ok, so the first thing I see it says to wear earphones for better playing. Well, I always wear my earphones when I’m playing games, but no sooner do I read this and the sound crashes. Jeez, I did everything. I restarted the game, I rebooted my phone, but I guess it’s a glitch in the game. The second thing is, there is no tutorial and no explanation on how the game works or what to do. I’m sure 5 hundred kids are going to say, “but I had no problem”, lol. Maybe it’s because I’m an old lady now, but I have no idea what to do. Before anyone tells me to go knit something, or bake a cake, I should tell you that I play almost every game there is available in the App Store. All the survival games, all the fighting and some war games. (Right now my favorite is blades and weird aquarium) So, I’m not ignorant to game playing, but this one I don’t know how to play. So maybe you could add an option to use a tutorial, for those of us that need one. I really want to play this game, so I guess I’ll just keep trying and hopefully the sound will get fixed and I can figure out how to play the game. Thank you to the devs, this game looks so interesting. Still giving you a 5 star!

i found this game too short; also an inadequate amount of HOS puzzles became quickly annoying - it's like you decided to cover the lack of good plot under those scenes. I saw you released the new game "immortal love", even if the price is attractive i understand its the same boring fantasy crap, the one that 90% of studios do nowadays. Can't you make sci-fi game? Can't you throw us to another galaxy? Can you release superhits that many years ago managed to make Artifex(now they are releasing repetitive boring fantasies)?

Perfect Hidden Object game
I’m so glad I tried this! I’d given up on HO games, but I’m now hooked on this series. The stories are interesting, graphics are beautiful, and the games are varied. The bonus games are just as good as the title game, and quite long. Spoiler ahead: Most importantly (for my taste) there are no evil spirits, demons, etc., but flawed people doing the scaring. I love that the last part is a determination of justice on the player’s part. As a comparison, I used to be a BFG member, but dropped it when I realized that most new games were about evil beings (with a few cutesy games once in a while). As the games became more and more complex, requiring a guide to understand it, they were no longer fun. Thank you for putting the fun back in Hidden Object games. I have now played all the Dark City series and will begin playing your other games next.

Dark city. Problème après l achat du jeu
Le jeu a l air très bien mais quand je suis arrivé au moment de payer pour débloquer la suite du jeu : j ai payé mais le jeu ne se débloque pas il reste bloqué sur « chargement ». Merci de régler ce problème car le jeu a l air vraiment bien... Malgré la mise à jour d il y a 24h sur mon iPad Pro ça ne marche toujours pas. Au moment de payer : j ai payé mais ça reste bloqué sur chargement. Et si je relance quand je clique : »déjà payé ? », ça me dit « no purchase restored ». C’est ennuyeux...

Sorry I do not feel $6.99 is a fair price... nor worth it a shame big fish bailed but I have resigned to the fact I will have to give up my favorite games because I can not afford to play them I am afraid you will do the same as big fish.. pay once play forever... they have not update their games I lost so much money...
