What a gift
I am so glad I found this app. I was really struggling to learn this and this is the best system I’ve found.
Dreiste Weiterleitung zu Premium
Ab einem bestimmt Level kommt man nicht mehr weiter. Es wird ein Wort eingeblendet, das man nicht erraten hat und es wird als falsch angezeigt und man wird weitergeleitet, um Premium zu abonnieren. So nicht!
Great app!
Literally the most perfect app!! I do wish we had more chances to make mistakes in one turn instead of just one. I also wish we could search a word and have the results show which “rule” it follows. Being able to learn by topic (home, Christmas, school, body parts, etc) would also be nice in more of a flashcard way. Right now I don’t really like how the app is set up to learn and play a game. Its isn’t very entertaining and also a bit unforgiving? I should be able to pick any topic I want to start with.
Nice, I’d like some changes!
First of all, thank you for figuring out these rules and sharing. This would have been a game changer for me way back in the day. I’d like to see some options in the app to help me learn the rules, before getting to the “levels” you presently offer. Something along the lines of a level where you’re testing the der words that follow the rule, the die words that follow the rule, and then das. Then a level where rule-following der, die, das words are all mixed up. After that, I would add in non-rule following for der words, die words, etc. Until finally, you mix them all up. Danke für Ihre Zeit! Edit: right now I keep running into a lot of bugs. It won’t pass me on a level, even though I’ve done 200 correctly in a row. Sometimes it’s stopping and making me start over when I didn’t make a mistake. I’m finding it very frustrating.
Useful but…
Decent app with 2 weaknesses: awful repetitive music and a bug that does not complete a section despite everything correctly answered multiple times (29 words - 122 correct answers… just stop from boredom!)
Great way to learn
This is a fun and engaging way to take a somewhat monotonous subject and make it enjoyable.
Very aggressive advertisements
Do not get this game if you do not plan on paying 3 dollars
Perfect apart for how it handles exceptions
I like the app! there is only thing I wish was different. I understand that the rules are just hints and that there are many exceptions, but it is very misleading to see 'das Loch' with the rule 'Frosch' which I already associated with 'der'. In these cases, it would be nice to mark it is an exception to the rule or even as no-rule
Disappointed
I bought the book and paid for the upgraded app. I’m not really loving either. The explanations aren’t very good, and it’s not always clear how the rule relates to an item guessed wrong on the app. The word lists are full of exceptions that make the “rules”seem more like guesswork based on loose patterns and statistical likelihood. It seems like progress is less a matter of learning rules and patterns and applying them and more a matter of learning each individual word through trial and error. The app is proving to be a very frustrating experience and not much fun to use despite the attractive graphics. If I’m being honest, I don’t believe this approach has really succeeded in “cracking the code”of gender in German. It’s just providing a more focused, gamified opportunity to practice memorizing nouns with their articles the old fashioned way. Also, if you buy the book, the app should be free as a supplement.
premium ücreti?

Great tool for German language learners
Memorizing articles has always been such a pain for me. I was really happy to stumble upon this app because it has been great for practice. I even ordered the book for the additional help and explanations. Only critique is that topics don’t seem to complete? I have one completed, but others where I have high scores of 100 still don’t say complete. I still have no clue how the other one got marked as complete.
Very Disappointed
Had high hopes for this. Very disappointed. Even after purchasing this, every time I missed a word I had to watch an ad. Incredibly annoying. To remove the ads it requires an in app purchase. Dont waste your money on this app.
fun :)
This app is very good- I might get the Premium (very cheap) but there is lots hidden without it. It is very helpful with learning new Vocabulary. Overall I think this app could improve if they let you add your own words but anyways it is so fun.
Ads Interrupt Gameplay causing Loss
Great concept, but on Stage 2 I kept getting ads mid-game, without getting an answer wrong first. The game continues, and you „lose“ in the background. Unplayable.
Having trouble getting the premium version
I am having issues trying to pay for the premium version. It first wants me to confirm my payment at the Apple Store, then it asks me to confirm again with a PayPal account. Two problems with this. First, I’m not using PayPal for this. Second, the PayPal account that pops up isn’t mine! I tried deleting it, but it won’t let me do that. At this time, I’m going to pass on the premium version. 🤔
doing god’s work
i owe my life to this app
Ads IMMEDIATELY
No idea if it’s any good or not because I answered one single question and it went straight into some kind of dating ad. Shameless cash grab. No thanks.
Nifty App but It Crashes
Hi Develop, I like this game a lot. Please stope the crashing . For me it usually happens during a game. How will I get my high scores??! Lol Thank you.
German pronunciation
German words are very hard to pronounce. When I turn on. The sound to hear the correct pronunciation all I hear is music. What a bummer.
Crashing
The app crashes while playing.
Clear rules
As a German teacher I love how this app puts the rules for Der die das into easy and understandable categories.
Horrible
It gives you the rule why it is spelled with der/die/das at the end. In my preference it would be better first to teach the kids the rule and then test them.
Perfect for learning
I really love this app. I bought the premium near instantly. It has really helped with the learning. Its exactly what I needed. I just wish that as I'm learning, it wouldn't randomly kick me off the app, losing my streak and my motivation to carry on. If that could be fixed, is would be 5 stars.
Errors
I love the concept but it keeps popping balloons (saying it’s wrong) then telling me it was what I picked. It isn’t teaching the wrong use it’s just not seeing that’s what I chose. It’s the same words every time so it’s really frustrating since the point is to work up your number of correct answers.
Like it says on the tin!
The apps simplicity gives it its charm. Helps you with your German articles (masculine / feminine / neuter!) It is horrendously tedious if you don't buy premium but thats £2.99 and in my eyes, worth the cost. My only really grievance is the animation itself. I'm expecting pots of mistakes. Lots of restarts. I would much more appreciate more glow and less animation. Correct. Correct. Correct. Incorrect. Not fussed about records or balloons falling flwn and watching screen transitions! Just keep thtowing thrm at me! Great little spp!!!
The friendliest app to practice Die, Der et Das
Totally worth it!
Sprache
Warum bekomme ich die Sachen auf Englisch angezeigt wenn ich DEUTSCH als Sprache ausgewählt habe
Beautiful and more engaging than most!
I am appreciating this game and it was worth $3 for the adless version! A couple suggestions: • The new noun appears as a layer underneath the Der-Die-Das buttons, and has an ease on its upward movement which creates some drag in the game as I have to wait to see the word and especially its definition. I would love if the new nouns were positioned to be fully visible right away. • there’s also a lag issue for me as the more complex (yet very beautiful) scenes load, such as the Brandenburger rainstorm. • if the game could tell which nouns you got wrong at first and show those more often than the ones you always get right, this could be a more helpful study tool. • I like that levels are gradually unlocked. Further motivation could be created by the words moving faster as the points go higher, as well as a definite end to each round. When I got to the third category in a set, I played it way longer than was fun because I was waiting for another “unlock” reward that didn’t come. This game is well on its way to be one of the best in its category in the app store, and a few of these gameification tweaks would really help it shine and solve the big issue foreigners face learning noun genders! Thanks for you hard work!
Bugou
No 3o nível do portão de Brandenburg (sobre família) eu acertei mais de 300 vezes e não computou meus pontos 😡
Good for testing bad for learning
It is okay for testing but not learning. Irritating music, which you can disable. Annoying ads! I am sure you can get better.
The app enables a quantum leap for German genders
This app makes it great fun to learn the german articles. The fact that everytime you make a mistake it links you to the lesson that applies for the noun is what really made it all connect and reinforced what I learned. Other apps where I just get things wrong but don't know why just lead to frustration.
Levels won’t unlock
I paid for the full version but the levels won’t unlock - despite me completing sometimes over 300 correct answers in a row before I got completely bored. So even though I paid for it I can’t access much more than the free version.
How to pronounce the words
I like the app and think that is very helpful but I wish that it would tell you how to pronounce the words.
Nice but has function problems
This is a nice useful app and I paid for the full version. Nonetheless, some options do not get unlocked no matter how many times I completed the previous level. I reported the issue but got neither a reply or the problem fixed (((
Bugs in app
Firstly the App is very nicely designed and built but there are a few issues. I am not able to unlock the next level after reaching 25 points even though I purchased the App. The rules given are not always correct. E.g. the rule for „das Seil“ is „FROSCH“ with the example der Frosch
Amazing app for learning German articles!
This app is amazing. And upgrading for life is very cheap. The visuals are stunning. A lot of work was put into this app and it shows. It’s absolutely essential for German learners.
Love the app, please fix the bugs!
I’m having a great time and learning a lot, BUT please fix the Basic Animals. I’m popping balloons because the app is scoring different words than the game is showing. One other thing, does it go on for all eternity? I took my first 3 games to 200, got bored and moved on.
Bug in the app
Hi, There is a bug in the app under places you can’t go over 9 it bugs doesn’t match the right word and gives you a mistake each time. Except that it is a cool app just has to be fix
Good but
I did learn quite well but the pace is rather slow and the ads when I miss a word are really annoying. The music is really annoying too so I have to put it on silent
Super helpful!
I grew up hearing German from my relatives, but not enough to be fully bilingual, and my biggest weakness in speech production has always been that I never memorized articles. If you are in a similar situation where you already have a big German vocabulary but need reenforcement of articles, this app is ideal. Well worth $3, provides very helpful tips, and you can see improvement with your articles by playing for just a few minutes per day. Thank you! I can see that this would be harder to implement, but I would love a similar game to drill plural forms, since that is also a point of difficulty for me!
Pas mal, mais payant
Version limitée à 2 thèmes, après il faut payer pour continuer à l’utiliser. L’application bug aussi légèrement, quand un mot a été répondu, il y faut parfois attendre quelques secondes pour que le mot suivant apparaisse.
Deceptive no more
The previous review I gave is now rescinded (if there were a way to do that). The problem that upset me so has been corrected. Still only three stars as I’ve yet to hear from their support team, so I’m not impressed at all from that direction. But the app is fun and useful (again).
Get ad free it’s worth it!
This is a great app. Without it I get zero right (it’s like I’m perfect for getting these absolutely wrong). With it I get them a section all correct in 10 minutes. Well worth it and fun!
Une manière ludique d’apprendre l’allemand!
On se prend vite au jeu, et ça devient addictif! On nous présente aussi les règles ainsi que leurs exceptions, pour que ça ne devienne pas une question d’apprendre par coeur. Une suggestion pour une version ultérieur: J’utilise un iPadPro et j’aurais voulu utiliser l’application en mode « paysage ». Peut-être une version iPad dans l’avenir? Autrement, beaucoup de plaisir.
Unsure how to complete
This app is really helping me to learn articles, but like other reviewers said, I don’t know how to complete a level. I completed one level seemingly as soon as I got all the words right in one go, but I have streaks of 101 and 71 for two other levels with under 30 words each and they haven’t been marked as completed.
