Great updates
The app keeps getting better with every update. Now you can copy a client’s address directly from the iPhone Calendar. I hope that one day the developers will add a feature that sends notifications from client messages in Tasker chat directly to the Calendar as well.

Descent App
I have been using this app for about a month now and have gotten a couple of jobs here and there. Only issue I hav wish I can't upload more photos to showcase my skills.
Personal information
The app requires a ton of personal information: SSN, ID, photo, address, phone, DOB, bank details, etc., in exchange for very vague promises. I’m not willing to hand over my personal information to who-knows-who just so that a month later I get a letter from the IRS asking why millions in daily transactions are flowing through my new crypto accounts.
Great App for handy person
This is one of the best apps I have ever found, and it has definitely been keeping me busy. I love almost everything about it, except for the payment system. I wish the app handled payments directly and did not split a single payment into two separate parts. It would also be much more convenient to have the option to receive earnings weekly or choose when to cash out, instead of having payments come in bits and pieces. That is honestly the only downside I have experienced with this app. Having all weekly earnings combined and paid out once a week, with an optional cash-out feature, would make the experience even better.
Houston’s #1 Tasker
Love it! I’ve been Houston’s top Tasker for at least 5 months running without cutting throat or faking it till I make it, and it does everything I need it to do as my administration. Anyone who can’t use it most likely doesn’t have the skills or business experience to use it.
Scam
To join they make you pay for a back ground check. I passed that no issue then I set my availability and filled out my profile. I set a large work area and sent time to have a good profile. No jobs ever waste of money
Not a scam. They don’t keep your $25 background check fee it goes straight to Checkr.
Been a Tasker since 2017 on & off. Great idea for platform bringing pros and clients together but there is plenty of room for improvements in the app. I imagine it’s tough to break in now but if you really dedicated time and have a plan, you can do it. You’re gonna have bust your butt working the minimum with a smile til you build a reputation by delivering a five star experience being on time, courteous, honest, well groomed so you can earn those early reviews that translate to more jobs and creates a virtuous cycle. Reviews are permanent so don’t get any bad ones. Do your research how busy your area is, benchmark against other taskers, create a marketing plan and a pricing strategy. HQ can be difficult to deal with, very impersonal and robotic so you’re really on your own. They have regional “success managers” which you should really take advantage of but your mileage may vary as to how helpful they are and there is a lot of career shuffling on their end so developing a relationships is practically nonexistent, YMMV. To Taskrabbit: there is a TON of room here for the product team to make common sense improvements (ie: Tasker initiated tasks with client confirmation which would streamline miscategorized bookings, Tasker initiated change orders, a way to actually manage the business on desktop, toggles for categories instead of having to delete one if you want take a pause, bring back captions for photos, fix the glitch for manually ordering photos - and that’s just the low hanging fruit) The product team would learn a whole lot if they just talked to taskers especially the Elite taskers in their categories.
Limited options
Taskr aka Taskrabbit is very limited on the available trades and skills in our own area and does not allow an option for an individual to input their own skill trade to open the door for options. Such as for a web designer or a graphic designer. Just because the demand is not high in a certain area. Therefore, making this app useless to a user who is seeking for opportunities, even for remote opportunities outside of their local area.
Can’t open my schedule
I cannot access my schedule. I just see Set this week’s schedule. When I click on Set availability the app just crashes

Ciao buongiorno, sono un Tasker e non mi fa più accedere al mio account in quanto mi dice che la password o l’e-mail sono errate. Ho provato a reimpostare la password e disinstallare l’app ma niente. A me serve quell’account perché ho delle task prenotate e lavoro. Risolvere il problema grazie. Ho già provato a contattare l’assistenza.

During onboarding it kept freezing on iPhone 16 fully updated. August 2026 Kept restarting. Frustrating

I spent $25 to sign up to not be able to add my skilled profession of car mechanics, would love to use the app and help people with their mechanics with my skills

I’ve just loaded up the App Store to update the app and am astounded by all the negative reviews so thought I’d share my experience. I’m self employed and since I joined as a Tasker a year and a half ago my business has grown significantly to the point that more than half my work now comes through Taskrabbit. Unlike similar apps (who will remain nameless) there’s no charge for the Tasker as the price is built in to what the customer is charged, which is shown before they hire somebody. And when you’re hired, you’re hired, there’s no bidding for jobs where you’re potentially underpricing yourself in order to gain the work. As a Tasker you’re given a recommended rate (although you can set it at whatever you like). Me myself I started low to build a profile on the site and as completed tasks and 5 star reviews piled up, the recommended rate continued to rise. These days I make a good living out of it and find that literally any spare time I make myself available, I get hired for a job! I’ve never had a problem with the support team who I’ve always found very helpful. On a couple of occasions customers have not had enough money in the bank to pay and when I’ve contacted support, they’ve paid the bill on the customers behalf. If a task is cancelled within 24 hours of a start time, you get paid for an hour. And on a couple of occasions I’ve turned up at the start time and nobody was home, after attempts to contact and hanging about, I’ve had to cancel the task. And been paid for the hour. Would you get that in a job you’ve been directly contacted about and not taken a deposit? I’ve had the app crash once in a year and a half, but can anyone honestly say they’ve NEVER had an app (or any kind of software) crash? On the whole I think Taskrabbit is an excellent service and does a great job of connecting clients with tradespeople while keeping things professional. The “only” thing I would say is that not enough people know about it. Most of the clients I do work for say it’s their first time using it because they never knew about it beforehand. I myself hadn’t heard about it until seeing it being used in a film and looking it up, and I can honestly say watching that film has changed my life! Cannot recommend Taskrabbit highly enough!
TaskRabbit Treats Taskers as Disposable
TaskRabbit is one of the worst platforms to depend on as an independent contractor. They advertise the idea that Taskers are independent professionals building their own businesses, but in reality you are building a profile and reputation that you have almost no control over. You can spend months or years completing jobs, earning five-star reviews, buying tools, paying for gas, driving to clients, taking on liability, and building a strong reputation — and an automated system can suddenly restrict your account, destroy your visibility, or remove your ability to receive work. The worst part is the complete lack of transparency. When something happens to your account, support usually gives generic copy-and-paste answers, passes the case from one person to another, or tells you that they cannot change what the system has done. There is very little meaningful escalation and often no clear explanation of exactly what caused the punishment or how to fix it. Taskers take nearly all of the risk: tools, transportation, vehicle expenses, insurance, unpaid travel time, cancellations, difficult clients, property damage risk, and gaps in the schedule. Yet TaskRabbit can still penalize the Tasker for situations that may be outside their control. The ranking system is also extremely opaque. Your income can depend heavily on where an algorithm decides to place you in search results. One week you can be busy, and the next week your visibility can disappear. That is not independence. That is dependence on an algorithm you cannot see, controlled by a company you cannot meaningfully talk to. My advice to anyone considering becoming a Tasker: never build your entire business around TaskRabbit. Use it only as a temporary source of leads while building your own customer base, website, Google profile, referrals, and independent business. Because no matter how much money you make for this platform, how many customers you help, or how strong your reviews are, TaskRabbit can remind you very quickly that you do not own the business you built on their platform. Taskers deserve much better than this.
A couple of points.
In the last update the ‘saved responses’ have gone and the ‘add to calendar’ feature has not been working for a while now. ???

The app seems to freeze/crash a lot. It sends notifications that a task has canceled and I’m not sure why.

Locked out of Account
Was logged out of account and had to reset password. No matter how many times I reset the password it wouldn’t work. Then I came and saw several people had the same issue. Weird app for sure.

1-Task is not in order in time in the task list. 2-/My Task/ tasks duplicate in current tasks and past tasks.confusing.

You’re telling me I have to pay money to sign up to be a tasker? Not to mention, this is the last step in signing up, nowhere along the way does it mention this. They already have your social security number and government ID by the time you get to this step. Total scam and wish I never gave them my info.

Problem with login page
I was trying to login to my account but I tried to apply the same password which didn’t work so I tried to change the password for 3 times and still the same problem and the login page says that I have typed wrong email or password which I just changed like 3 seconds ago

Wer Probleme bei der Accounterstellung hat, weil er nicht an den nächsten „Weiterbutton“kommt, sollte einfach in den eigenen Geräteeinstellungen die Text.- bzw. Schriftgrösse auf kleiner stellen und schon ist der Button sichtbar. Bei IPhone unter Anzeige&Helligkeit>Textgrösse unter 50% stellen. Danach kann man auf die gewohnte Schriftgrösse zurückstellen. Viel Erfolg;) 👍🏻
Trash developer
No matter how good of a picture u take for the identity verification it still can not verify you because. The developer are too lazy and trash to fix the bug and would rather sit with their head in the ground.

I joined TaskRabbit as a Tasker in mid May. By the first week of June, I was doing two (2) 5-7 hour tasks EVERY DAY. I was THE top NUMBER ONE, MOST REQUESTED, MOST SOUGHT AFTER, Tasker for organization in the ENTIRE San Francisco Bay Area (Marin County, San Mateo County, San Francisco County, and the ENTIRE EAST BAY - Oakland, Richmond, Berkeley, Hayward, Fremont, Concord, Walnut Creek, etc). I remained the #1 Tasker for organization until early August. I opened my email and that was it. Some low-mid level TaskRabbit employee decided I had violated the availability policy for rescheduling a yard work - gardening - task more than once. It was a misunderstanding, I had been in contact with the yard work client directly via text, he had ASKED ME on a number of occasions to reschedule the task ON HIS BEHALF. No problem, the texts would clarify the TaskRabbit employee’s misunderstanding. With the clients permission, I emailed TaskRabbit support back with 13 screenshots of the scheduling conflicts attached, as well as messages from the client thanking me for being the best Tasker they’d ever hired, and for being so understanding and making rescheduling so easy for them. The email I got back basically read: “Don’t care. Didn’t look at the attachments aka the evidence that confirms not policy was violated (that we ASKED YOU TO PROVIDE TO HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT REINSTATED), don’t email us again, your never going to be back in the search results.” That was it. Which, wasn’t as big of a deal as it could have been, since I had already started my own company, but looking on Reddit, it’s a VERY common issue with TR’s “Tasker support.” I think they were actually upset I wouldn’t go to an abandoned stash/trap house that 1. Wasn’t listed on the task (client texted it to me), 2. After dark in a really bad area, 3. Only had a hospital bed with handcuffs inside, 4. The address produced had me uber 40 minutes to the wrong place I guess, and 5. I didn’t want to get r*ped or m*rderedn or tr*ficked.
