Been using it for years. It’s great and love the widgets.
Promising but ultimately disappointing
The developer is certainly a homelab user. Feature rich and would likely be better than the plex app if it worked. I get repeated error messages and I haven’t heard back from the support team/developer. App is useless with most basic functions dysfunctional.

Braucht lange bis angezeigt wird, ob was gespielt wird. Genau so lang braucht es leider, bis es erkennt, dass nichts mehr gespielt wird.
Doesn’t do much
The app doesn’t do much different from the native Plex Dash app for me. Also, every time I open it I have to restore my Pro purchase. This happens across devices and is very annoying.
Good
Its a very good app, keeps track of does everything Plex Dash does, why I wanted it is to be able to add users and remove users on the fly and that does not work.
Superior to Plex Dash in every way that matters
I’ve used both Plex Dash and Varys for a little while now, and Varys just outperforms Plex Dash entirely. It loads quicker, the history page is *actually* consistent and accurate (by far my biggest frustration with the Plex Dash app), and the server statistics are more readily accessible and easy to read, with more metadata available to you in comparison. If you’re an avid Plex server manager, the Pro price of $4 (at time of writing) should be an easy decision. A no brainer, superior alternative to the stock Dash app.

I tried the 7 day trial. It’s junk. tautulli is free and way better.
Lost Notification Features
I’d really like to see Varys bring notifications back somehow. The Plex Pass notifications that are built into Plex are terrible and unreliable. Now that I use the *arr suite, supporting that is my top priority and I’m hoping Varys will integrate with that ecosystem somehow (and bring notifications with it). Over all great app though.
A really nice app! But…
I found an issue where it says I need to have a Plex pass (which I do have). I sent an email in August 2023 to report the bug. Now, one year later, I’ve sent another email to ask again, and there has been no response. It’s a shame that the creator completely ignores the emails you sent.
Paywall
Not sure if it’s great or not because it seems like the most basic functions of the app are locked behind a paywall. From the looks of it, for $4 you get access to some useful stuff

It’s got all the features of a service like Tautulli but without having to set up a third party service! Well done I can’t believe this isn’t built into the official plex app
Doesn’t work
This use to be great but now it doesn’t work for new tv shows on plex and there is no way to get support. It says go to his website but nothing there.

Had Potential
This app has the potential to be a really good app. However, it seems as if the app has been abandoned by the developers. They don’t respond to emails and the app hasn’t been updated in 2 years before being updated 5 months ago, but that update hasn’t fixed the many bug issues. Adding a user is easy, but removing one is when the problem comes in. Get several error messages throughout the day when using the app. I’m paying $5 a month for nothing if you ask me.

Great App but please update
This is a great app for Plex but currently the app is broken. The restore purchase window keeps on coming up every time you open up the program . The App still works great but the developer, who is MIA and doesn’t reply to email requests, just needs to update the app to fix the purchase issue. We are in desperate need of an update.

Seit heute nach einer neusinstallation und Verlinkungen über Plex kann ich beim Server verbinden nicht auf Done klicken. Im Plex sieht man es aber als registriert.
Good app, could use more features
This app is useful, needs the plex pass for some of the features to work. Could use some more metrics in server monitoring and maybe some functionality for alerting and sending notifications to users remotely. I find it useful useful for refreshing libraries on the fly and checking basic usage and performance.
Perfect Plex Companion App
It allows me to manage my server while on the go without laptop access and does it much better than Plex Dash.

Love Tautulli and will continue to use this app, as it does have a few upgrades over the old Tautulli remote app, such as vastly improved user management. But it tries to use app notifications to communicate the number of streams running on the server, which is an awesome idea in theory as I love catching a glimpse of how many streams are running without opening the app. But in practice it falls short of the mark, and unfortunately doesn’t update anywhere remotely regularly enough to actually be useful. I often find two or three notifications on the app so I open it to see what streams are running, only to find that all streams had finished and the server is idle. This doesn’t work as intended, and it’s starting to feel a little frustrating.

Tautulli is better and free… This app is not worth the money If your not looking at running an additional program on your Plex server and don’t own a domain Plex Dash is another great Free option. The price of this app is not justified

Not what I was looking for
The app does what it says it can do but I got it for the Apple Watch support. If I wanted it as just an app on my phone I would have gotten what was advertised, however the watch support for what you can do from your watch is minimal. I work in a water rich environment so I leave my phone plugged into a sound system in a safe dry place that I can not access unless I’m on a break so I access my phone from my watch I didn’t realize the watch app would be so minimal

Like it but...
👆...don't love it. Would love it if the features of Varys awe're to be implemented into the Tautulli Remote App, as one app. Right now I'm using both because they deliver different stuff for me.
Varys is amazing
This is my single most used Plex app beyond when viewing my content. It does everything I need and more. One bit of developer feedback: I’d love to see my GPU load as well as CPU load. Please and thank you.

Was using Tautulli but tried this...
Not a fan. It worked fine for the first few weeks but I find myself using Tautulli as it actually works. I don’t mind using a VPN with it so this was a complete waste of money. Also doesn’t show cpu or ram utilization anymore or show correct user watch time info
Worth Purchasing
It’s a great app and definitely worth buying. I’m surprised Plex doesn’t already have an official app for this already. I just wish it had a graph for hard disk usage.

Its exactly the same interface from "remote for tautulli". But has no notifications. And have to pay for extra access.
