Constant Problems
It flags websites that are safe, flags websites my kids aren’t actively using, blocks access to websites they need for school. Currently kid is locked out from a website for submitting a discussion post and I went to check and Norton says he’s not even being monitored. Other apps to a better job with less frustration.
Good App, difficult to configure
I recently began using this app to control my 10 year old use of a home computer. I have to say it is very secure but really difficult to configure. For example my kids use google for education institutions and they have to login to apps using their google account, and it is a real nightmare to make Norton family understand they are login to the app. It blocks them all the time.
i hate it
well i use it it has screen time at the end of the day and well yeah a specific timing but it doesn’t have ben allow me to on add at least more minute now i have lost a lot of achievement because of that one minute disability
Clunky, as usual
Norton has a lot of great features and a lot going for it in terms of capabilities, but the user experience has always been clunky. It’s as if the whole software engineering team is stuck in the 80’s.

My child requested for allowing websites and that doesn’t get affect even though I add it to allow list . It’s frustrating especially while his class is about to start and needs this access.

Doesn’t take me to the Monitoring portal
This app contains to try to force me to set up another child rather than allowing me to monitor the activity of the children that are already registered in the app. Why would that work flow even be in the parental app. Always have to fight my way through the online portal rather than using this app wish they would fix it so we would just work.

Accurate Report on everything Easy to control…the most that I like about it I can control it anywhere. It’s amazing.
Doesn’t work on iOS 26
Straight up it doesn’t work correctly if you want audit your children’s websites without getting in their way. There are three levels: block, warn and monitor. Even if you choose monitor, if will both block and warn. Even if you specifically allow the website and all associated categories, it will still block and warn. Yes, I resynced the app multiple times. I had the same issue across multiple children on multiple devices. I’m done trying to fix it and uninstalling it.

O aplicativo é bom e cumpre o que promete. A criança fica monitorada pelos pais em suas atividades com dispositivos eletrônicos. Acho a diagramação das funções e o uso muito confuso. Não é fácil achar o caminho para estender o tempo de uso de um computador, por exemplo, principalmente se não é uma função rotineiramente usada. Como já vem no pacote do Norton 360, é excelente custo benefício. Mas eu não pagaria a mais para usar o App justamente por ser muito confuso para os pais

Not User Friendly
I have had Norton for a very long time. While I trust it and keep using it, I must say that it is very difficult to manage and very difficult to reach customers service. I had my Norton Family App set up with my kids, had their computers all registered. After I changed my phone, the app says no family members registered. It is annoying and frustrating.
Wonderful app!
I think this app is wonderful! I was able to set up this app on my child’s phone and mine without much problem. I was able to block everything I needed to, and something’s I never thought of. When my child is somewhere other than home, I’m able to unlock their phone so another adult can make changes if needed, and then I can re-lock their phone.
Muy mal app para iphone
No se como funciona en Android pero en iPhone es muy mala, ya hice login y estando dentro algunas funciones cuando las quiero modificar me envía a la página web y a veces me pide hacer login de nuevo, con que solo tengo un filtro de Face ID para abrir el app sería suficiente y que todo se haga desde el app fácil. Lo otro es que no puedo poner límites por aplicación, también debería poder asignar tiempo o tener alguna forma de agregar tiempo de pantalla sin modificar el calendario, por ejemplo hoy es jueves y es holiday normalmente en la mañana esta bloqueada porque esta en clases pero ahora debo mover todo el calendario para dar tiempo de pantalla y luego volverlo a mover para que siga normal. Deberian fijarse en apps como Bark o Qustodio ellos hacen muy fácil el parental control, si no cambian esto me cambiaré de app al vencerse la licencia de norton pues ya pague la del año.

I’m a technically savvy person and find this app difficult to understand. I’ve set specific rules around websites and apps that are allowed. In spite of the specificity, the app blocks everything. In the end I have to either enable supervision or disable supervision to keep any parental control.
Sometimes
Sometimes the app works, often it gives me an error when trying to approve a website or extend time for my kids. More often than not I am frustrated and my homeschooled kids often have to find alternatives for their schoolwork. At this point it’s more frustrating than helpful.

子供からの延長要求にすぐ応えられるのがありがたい。 逆に言うと、このアプリを入れるまでは延長要求がメールで届いてて、気づかないことが多かった。 このアプリを知ってからも、別にお金を取られそうで手が出せなかった。 でもいい加減不便なんでインストールしたら追加料金なしで通知もすぐ来て便利便利。
Requires improvements
I spent 2-3 hours to install this program on my son’s computer and connected to the my mobile phone app. When my son (14 yo) found out what was going on he needed only 30 seconds to delete it from his computer. I didn’t find any protection from uninstalling (like for example Google Family has), so I refunded my money back. On my opinion this program needs improvement.
Not consistent
Works sometimes and other times it does not work. Although I have custom settings on what category to block and not to block, it sometimes blocks a category that should not be blocked

Children in account do not show up in app
I set up my kids accounts on their computer but they are not listed on the iOS app, despite being listed when I check on the Norton website. ’ve tried signing in multiple times on the app but the problem persists. It wants me to create new accounts for them. The app used to work fine but something happened in the last few months it seems. Now this app essentially doesn’t work at all.

Worst app
I hate this app. I got it to have parent supervision on my child’s computer and it’s constantly glitching out and not working. Feature such as her asking for more time has an “error” and times out. Very frustrating and a waste of money.
Problem with locking
Norton family worked perfectly, however when I decided to take off the lock on my daughters child. It didn’t come off, but I thought I did. I tried everything and even deleted the app of both phones and factory reset but still keeps locking and now we are unsure wha to do.

I have gotten in trouble MULTIPLE TIMES most recently this app decided to LIE and say i was on my drawing tablet at ten in the night. NOT ONLY WAS I ASLEEP MY TABLET WAS ALSO DEAD. ALSO this app IS SO DANG BROKEN AND DECIDES TO TELL ME MY SCREEN TIME IS UP EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN’T EVEN GOT ON MY COMPUTER AT ALL.

I like the security of norton as I know my family is safe
Not Great with iOS
Cancellation was not smooth. Support portal kept sending me in loops rather than a person. All I could ever reach was a virtual assistant. Phone call queue never worked.
Needs improvement
Should be able to allow certain apps to be available all the time. Also, if the child goes on no data the phone does not lock allowing them to carry on playing off line games. How could such a basic feature be missed?
Norton Beats Qustodio with School Time Feature
The lockdown means home schooling on tech so you can’t just cut the online activity. This Norton App allows you to discern between what you want on and what you want off at certain times and has stopped the evening battle to leave it all off .
Norton family doesn’t work
It does not unlock, lock, nor able to update and approve website.. it’s frustrating

19.03.2020, Auch zwei Monate später funktioniert die App und die Kindersicherung nur rudimentär. Ich kann nicht nachvollziehen, wie Kunden fast 40 Euro pro Monat für diesen im gefühlten „Alphastatus“ befindlichen Service zahlen. Ich habe das Paket für 10 Geräte für. Jahr gekauft, das lässt mich diesen Krampf verschmerzen. Die iPad App zeigt mir z.B. Dass keine Kinder zur Familie hinterlegt sind, die App auf dem iPhone zeigt ales an, die Webseite tut das gleiche. Die Steuerung ist unzuverlässig, das Profile auf dem iPhone kann durch das Kind einfach ohne PIN oder anderen Zugriffsschutz gelöscht werden. Kann sein, dass das Apple vorgibt, aber ist das sinnvoll? Ansonsten gilt alles wie weiter unten ... 18.01.2020, Wie schon seit Jahren immer einmal wieder versuche ich das Norton Family Paket im Rahmen meines Norton Lizenzvertrages zu nutzen. Wie schon seit Jahren muss ich immer wieder an verschiedenen Stellen feststellen, dass die Software unter IOS einfach unausgereift ist, selbst auf PC-Seite kann ich die Hausregeln per Norton nicht durchsetzen. Man kann sich weder am PC (Win10 Pro) noch unter IOS (13.3) darauf verlassen, dass die Kinder frustfrei innerhalb der gesetzten Leitplanken für die Schule arbeiten oder/und Spielen können. Das Listing der zugelassenen / gesperrten Webseiten ist unzumutbar, wenn man meint man sperrt eine Kategorie und die Webseiten dieser Kategorie sind dann entsprechend nicht erreichbar, so irrt man. Fast alle Webseiten (selbst große und wohlbekannte) sind als „Nichtkategorisiert“ gelistet und damit bekommt das Kind die Freiheit irgendeinen Text einzutragen und die Seite zu nutzen oder die Seite wird (je nach Regel gesperrt. Die Eltern bekommen eine Meldung und will man nun die Webseite aus der Meldung Kategorisieren oder zulassen oder sperren, so ist dies aus der IOS-APP nicht machbar ... Das ist nur ein simples Beispiel, der Frust bei Eltern und Kindern ist ein fast täglicher Begleiter mit diesem „Produkt“. Zu einem Produkt gehört auch ein Support, aber sich an den Support zu wenden ist wie mit einer Wand zu sprechen, auf Feedback reagiert die Firma nicht ... usw. ... einfach unbrauchbar. Vielleicht wird es sich nun besser, nachdem Symantec zu Broadcom gehört und Norton allein sehen muss, wie sie zurecht kommen. Es wäre jedenfalls sehr wünschenswert ... nur werden die Kinder irgendwann erwachsen und dann interessiert einem das alles nicht mehr.
Keeps Logging Me Out
Just not user friendly. My son gets nonstop notifications/warnings. Even when just trying to send an email with the gmail app.

I have been using the Norton 360 for almost a year but in my kids laptops and it has worked great. I have more peace of mind with my kids accessing internet.
Cannot Allow websites
The application just stopped allowing me to add websites and support has been “trying” to fix the issue for weeks. As an IT professional, I would recommend staying away from this app unless it can become more stable. There are also ways to get around the protections, but the annoying thing is that not being able to approve legitimate sites it incentivizes kids to look for workarounds. If I could give this a negative star, I would.

Stupid App
Literally gets rid of my apps and blocks WiFi and has no tutorial or manual to guide us through how to fix this dumb app’s issues! Delete this app immediately!!!
Amazingly works pretty well
Great app and seems to work fine, however , it’s very easy to lock all your kids devises as the “ instant lock “ once you put at least 1 emergency contact in, apart from that, pretty good unlike most other Norton apps, which are pretty rubbish - looks like some thought has gone into this
Somewhat helpful
This app is okay. You can only control total electronic time though which I find annoying. I want to be able to limit game time (certain apps) but would like for my kids to be able to read (use the Libby app) for a much longer time. You cannot do that on this app. Googles Family Link allows you to do that and I love it but my older son has aged out that and we need to find something for him. This isn’t working though. I would like for the phone to be able to make a phone call to me no matter how much electronic time has been used rather than locking him out. I do like that it warns out visiting webpages.
Could be better
As another reviewer said, once you enter the child’s profile it locks and you can’t scroll. I found going to alerts them back again solves the problem - but a bit of a pain. It’s great to have instant access to lock devices, but a shame the that the rest is just opening the website in the app (it keeps telling me to get the app, when that’s where I’ve come from!) Not app specific, but this would be so much better as a parental tool if we could apply a total time allowed time across all devices. If I want my child to have total 2 hours on phone or PC but I don’t mind how they spread that time across those devices I can’t do that. I can either allow 2 hours on each (which total 4 hours) or 1 hour on each which doesn’t give them any flexibility and results in me having to lock/ unlock or constantly change the setting, which is bit of a pain with 3 children and access to 2 devices each!
