Never buy it
The GENBOLT security cameras & app are a total waste of money. Could not get the app added to my phone, the camera would not connect. I returned it to Amazon!

取説がまず全然不親切。見たいものが載っていないし、別の関係ないところにちょこっとだけ関連することが書いてあって推察するしかない。挙げ句の果て、苦労して設定してたら、ずーっとクルクルしたまんま進めずです。もう2度と使いません。

The app is pretty good a few tricky parts on how to access the cloud storage, but other than that I find it easy to navigate easy to use and easy to connect.

Trick you to hit the subscription button
I did not want a subscription AT ALL. When trying to view the camera in the app the subscribe button is right in the way and when I tried to X it out it immediately said I subscribed😡. Cancel that immediately Genbolt or I will give a bad review on Amazon

Connection awful
A poorly designed app, do not connect, not user friendly.
One major shortcoming and bad technical support
The camera is working ok so far (we have it for about two months). The PIR alert seems to be missing people some times. We know people came over from another camera but it didn’t trigger the alarm and recording. We have purchased Cloud recording for a year. My biggest pain point is an error when trying to access the Cloud recording over mobile data on an iPhone. It works on any Wi-Fi connection, even pairing with another phone acting as a hotspot. It keeps working for a while after disconnecting from the Wi-Fi while the App is active, but stops if you kill the App or after a period of time. It was painful because we could not access recordings during camping when we needed it the most. It works fine on Android. Camera access also works fine. And here is the painful part. I’m back and forth with the support team for a week. My case is titled Cloud Playback error (Cloud Playback is a specific function of the App), and includes a screenshot of the cloud access error (clearly showing a cloud connection issue) and an explanation of the issue. The team went on to troubleshoot camera access (obviously there are communication challenges or a team that doesn’t know their features or bother to read the problem description). Then told me that I did not get anything recorded because I had set it up for certain hours (that was not the problem I raised, I had recordings, but I could not connect to the cloud to see them). They changed the alarm to 24 hours without permission; I really did not want an alarm on my neighbors every time they moved I front of the camera. Then told me it works fine for them but later I realized they were testing on Android although I told them I use an iPhone. They even offered a refund, but in this case the camera is also useless without a recording solution. Hopefully they will get their act together and fix it.

What TF have you done to the application? I don’t want to use your f’n cloud service. I will never purchase nor recommend your products again.
Excellent but here’s why 4*
The functionality, quality and usability of this camera is excellent. The design is very good and the app excellent. As per a previous user had posted the connectivity instructions to the WiFi is not clear and so I had to try a few different steps to figure it out myself and the only reason for the 4 stars. Cloud storage for this device is fairly expensive for the year $150 per year, but the dual cameras is worth it. I bought this camera for my daughter and her new place for added security in a laneway and behind a gate. A Ring user, but maybe worth upgrading to this at my place.

Bad apple
This app stinks. I have to login to access the camera with a verification code. I ask for the code to be sent to me but I only have 120 seconds to submit it. The problem is that I don’t get the code for 10 minutes, how am I supposed to submit the code?

Seems to have a lot of negative reviews however it has worked perfectly for me.

Was working on till the update couple of days ago now it won’t let me open the app at all tried to download pro version but won’t let me add cam as there registration is with another account tried calling the help line no answer ???? Need help
Cameras and app working well
There seem to be a lot of one star reviews here… but as far as we can tell everything is working fine. We installed two cameras about a month ago and they are brilliant. And the app has been working well. The UK customer support team are very helpful and we’ve had no issues with setting up, managing the SIM card or cloud data storage.

Sync time with phone
Why does it not keep the time after you set/sync it? I have to resync every day if I want the time to be correct.

いつの間にか録画設定が常時録画の「スケジュール録画」意外設定(選択)出来ません。 動体検知やヒューマノイド検知による録画が設定(選択)出来ず不便になりました。

アップデートしたらログインしろと…？ 出来ませんが…。
Very satisfied
My original camera malfunctioned. Contacted Customer service and in no time, they verified the camera was failing. Without hesitation, they sent me a replacement. It was very easy to set up and I’m very happy with this camera. Movement of the lens is fast and very clear on High Definition. Easy to install as well as only needs 2 screws to connect it to the wall. Great Customer service.

Over all these cameras work well have 6 in total. However since the last update the cameras have stopped sending signals so can’t operate the from my mobile phone. I’ve tried rebooting and restarting them they work for a couple of times then stop. They still are recording but very difficult to view.
Email setting doesn’t work!
The camera communicates with the app and you can see live videos with voice. You can also use the app to turn the camera. The down side is the email setting for receiving notification and pictures via an email does not work. I used hotmail and gmail, I followed the instructions, but it didn’t work.

GENBOLT app
I’ve been using this GENBOLT app since 2019, when I bought my first GENBOLT camera, I have since added two more cameras and I like how all 3 show up and I can view them from anywhere in the world. I like how I can change the settings when ever I need to, I like how I can view only the alarm/motion detection recorded events from the SD card. Recently I had an issue with one of the cameras and tech support was very helpful and the problem was resolved quickly and efficiently. They very helpful.
Don’t Waste Your Money
Numerous attempts to connect via wifi failed (Tapo C500 installed right beside the Genbolt had no problem connecting to wifi, so signal strength not the issue). Spent a day runn an ethernet cable from inside our house all the way to the garage where camera is located. Followed the LAN connection instructions and clicked on “search LAN for camera”. It said the “camera could not be found” and offered no trouble shooting guide to deal with this scenario. Very disappointing.
Love it
So far I have bought 2 ptz and 2 basic wireless cameras. Easy to set up and send emails to my iPhone for alerts. Haven’t figured out an easy way to disable while I am working outside executor unplug them. Showed them to a friend and he bought also. I love that I can check out my yard anywhere as long as I have cell service.wish the basic camera had zoom because 30’ away and is a little hard to recognize people unless you know them.
App needs work
Significant work needs invested in this app. It still isn’t right and it’s been years from when released. The option of a + and - for the zoom is which takes 4/5 times to push to zoom completely in is terrible and the same for back to normal. Sometimes it then halved the screen and froze. The ability to pinch in and out was better. Just user interface instructions on how to do is needed. The ability to also unmute and listen when phone is on the apple iPhone silent mode is also needing updated. The app is also annoyingly not straightforward in adjusting settings for motion detection or motion scheduling. The app needs a complete overhaul.
After using the apps in LTE one camera will disconnected
When I am using wifi at home is ok Only when outside using LTE,outdoor Is ok One camera will disconnected when home Have to restart iPhone or reinstall apps to get it work again

GENBOLT PTZ camera
This camera has worked alright but the last two weeks it has been useless it records events but you can only play back the newest one all other recordings are not viewable if you go to time play back it kicks you off the app. Don’t know what the company did but it has turned the camera into a paper weight.
More functions for the app
My setup works very well, the only problem if you have multiple locations installed, all the cameras go online at the same time. The app should have the option to view individual cameras by clicking on it.

本アプリを起動すると、カメラのON/OFFに関わらず、まずカメラと接続しようとして、やたらと時間がかかり、99%で止まってしまう。 最初に「設定」に入るようにして、「カメラと接続」ボタンで接続するのが普通ではないだろうか。アプリとつながるまで、カメラが一定感覚で大音量を出すので、近所迷惑にもなる。 IPv6で繋がらないというのは誤情報で、問題なく動作している。 Google Homeで使えるように改修してほしい。
Good, needs more work
Wish it would stay connected when I’m background. Would be nice to rotate the alarm area selection for angles (ie driveway) or a more advanced selection area.

No Support
If you can pull enough teeth to get these documented products setup the app works ok but just tried 4G from my previous wifi cameras and setup is now going over a week, zero help getting this working is frustrating.
Need a snooze function
Please add the ability to snooze the notifications. Example: snooze for 30 mins, 1 hour, 2 hours. Sometimes you need to be where the camera points and don’t need to receive constant notifications while there.

画面の固定が思った位置でできません。 立ち上げると 必ずセットした位置より 右側に固定されています。 何度も何度も直しますが アプリを切って再度立ち上げると やはり右側を向いています。

Cloud not working offline
Hi I bought camera be of I CloudEdge we had stolen cam last time I couldn’t see recording That’s why I bought cloud backup but it’s work only when camera online it’s same like Sd micro card Is there any solution I can get my video to see who stole may camera 2nd time
Works fine
Great little app, does what it’s supposed to do. Would prefer multi section motion detection so two areas of the screen could trigger a recording. I found it easy to set up if you follow the instructions and once thats done you can access the camera and/or recordings remotely from anywhere.
Disconnects frequently…
…and requires the camera to be reset or rebooted regularly while cabled to the router, but the support desk responded quickly to my latest problem and was helpful.
