This camera & app have been fine until recently, Now it only records for 24hrs !? & I have not changed Anything !???
Be glad you cannot buy these cameras anymore
Constantly have to check for bug fix updates as being able to view live is very unreliable. Constantly need to unplug then plug back in. It feels like the camera knows when there may be an emergency so when in a panic you need to check live view, the camera won’t let you view live.
IPadOS 26 Display Refresh
I have been using this app for a few years and it’s not perfect but has always been reasonable with some good features, unfortunately now we have moved onto iPadOS 26 the display is not filling the full screen when you open the app, this can be temporary corrected by rotating (flipping) the screen to portrait and then back to landscape which then fills the screen. If you change the screen, ie, by going back to the main screen it reverts back to a smaller screen and you have to rotate to portrait and then back to landscape to get the full screen back. An update to make this app compatible with iPadOS 26 would be appreciated. Update 9th Dec 25:- Now works as normal using iPadOS 26.

And now it does not know my password! Very frustrating. The camera is fine but keeps disconnecting!

CamHipro
This app is horrible it constantly disconnects or has a constant anomaly. It worked perfectly fine until the last update and now it’s completely useless.
Push Alarm Function
After the previous app update, I’m no longer receiving push notification. All software if up to date, all settings are accurate, I’ve restarted a few times, and still don’t receive alarm push notifications. This defeats the whole purpose I bought this product. It’s been awesome for over 3 years, but push notification is critical and not working.
Jury Is Out
🤷♂️ I’ve had this app for a couple of years. The camera is awesome. However, the app and viewing is only reliable during the evening or weekends, which leads me to think the mobile network is responsible, though I cannot blame that as the signal is always strong. I can wait for 2 minutes before the camera responds, which is no good to follow subjects of interest… When it works it’s brilliant , however…
Incorrect aspect ratio in both orientations
In portrait mode (holding the phone vertically) the live image is stretched vertically - everything looks longer than it actually is. In landscape mode (holding the phone horizontally), the live image is stretched horizontally - everthing looks flatter than it actually is. This should be fixed - the live image should have the correct aspect ratio (i.e., not stretched in any direction).

It’s always very difficult to reconnect after power outages. Not sure if that’s JT issue or Camhi problem.
Worked great up to iOS 18.1
After my last iOS update, the screen rotation button (the two arrows in the corner of the screen) will only work after I manually unload the app from memory and reload it. It's repeatable. Other than that it's been a very useful and dependable app with my Boavision cameras. I'm sure you'll iron out the rotation issue.
Audio
No audio on all cameras using app.Audio on and turned up. Audio works as expected using HIP2P client. Same problem with CamHi and CamHi pro
App issues
No notifications after transfer to new iPhone despite all settings correct

False Alarms
This latest update introduced a lot of false alarms. I had to adjust a sensitivity way down now and it still gives me false alarms every time it switches between night vision and standard. This is one of the best apps that I’ve ever used though I’m only given it two stars for this version otherwise I would say it deserves four stars.
Unable to change password
I moved house so had to take the camera down. When I tried to connect again it keeps saying wrong password. I need to reset it but there isn’t anywhere to do it or put the camera back to factory settings. So the camera is useless until I can figure gyre it out.

Doesn’t support mirroring anymore!
Originally I would have rated this 5/5 but now the app no longer supports screen mirroring - so I can no longer stream to my desktop. Making all my cameras obsolete. When not mirroring full screen shows fine / when mirroring it blurs the full screen view. There is zero support either.
Email set up
The email setup for alerts needs clarification on what user and password is to be entered. I wish that it worked with google home.
Good app but has FTP bugs
An update trashed my FTP usage. I can no longer use my camera as intended. They are going in the trash along with anymore purchases from this company.
Feature updates
I’ve been using this app for a few months from my iPhone. The video quality is good, easy to use and some good features. However, there are some things that could be useful: * recording play back should have a pause feature while reviewing * AI motion feature needs some tweaking - I get several alerts on things like a bed post or a jacket hanging up. * when mirroring my phone to my TV, orientation for video playback review doesn’t not auto correct to horizontal landscape orientation. Stays in vertical landscape, but works fine when viewing live video feed. * Audio is extremely lagged when reviewing in video playback
This App is great along with the Cameras
I’ve been using this app for 4 years now. It watches my barn activities for my chicks and ducks. I love the auto security of the Boavision cameras. I’ve show this to many friends and they are amazed at the clarity and ease of use. Also recorded neighbors dog killing a few of my free range chicks. So bottom line, EXCELLENT CAMERA AND APP!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Poorly written
Hey guys your software does not allow deleting of any video or picture. Alarms video push notifications go nowhere after app opens. Only a few alarm videos ever show, others you just can’t find. There are too many places for users to view video and pictures it becomes confusing. No easy download / save links. I could go on but I doubt if the developers even care. I can only hope I can find other software that will run my camera. Also there is no help text / files, NO support of any kind. The support link on AppStore just goes to a privacy statement.
Hard to set up .
If you are having difficulty to set up the cam as me , that may be dumb but use the manual and follow the instruction. Got them worked after 5 min
App is not working with IOS 18
Dear team, please update your up regularly.. my cameras always (connecting) not working with IOS 18, I am only receiving Motion alarm notifications but camera is not going online!

Replaces Dericam app
Newer app of the older Dericam app. The Dericam app is no longer available in my region. This newer version was easy to set up and has many improved features. I like it for the easy to see and find features.
Only works if you can scan UID
Will not allow you to add other cameras unless they have the UID. Kinda useless.

It was good until 2 days ago the app stopped working and they won’t let me talk to anyone unless I pay for it
No login with a password
This app does not have a login and password. I’m not sure if that is safe to protect anyone from getting into your iPhone through the app and accessing your internet and viewing your cameras. It should be more secure when coming from the App Store. Other than that the app works very well compared to other comparable apps. However we use many apps and this is the only that you do not have have an account with a login.
Good enough
I honestly don’t have an issue with this app. It’s doing what I want. However, when I did a privacy check on my iPhone, this app is apparently contacting all sorts of different IP addresses which I am unsure as to why. I don’t know enough about IT and all that but I am not naive, that seems sketchy. All in all, I’ve had various camera software apps in the past and this one does just fine but security appears to be lacking.

Good app, could use a couple of shortcuts!
I use this app *a lot*, and it’s really reliable, makes it simple to do basics with the cams, and it’s easy to set up. The only enhancements it could do with are a way to turn all motion detection on all cameras on at the same time, and a way to turn the IR functions on and off where required on cameras with built in IR lamps. Otherwise this doe a great job!
Audio Issue
About the same time that a bug fix was rolled out (about a week ago), the conversion process from .265 to MP4 now loses the audio completely. If there was a way to report the problem without given them a bad review, I would. I like the ap…when it works.
Camera is good, app is awful!
Camera quality is decent and the sound isn’t to bad. It does have a slight delay when you watch back but it serves it’s purpose and that’s down to the app. The app is a nightmare and I have changed broadband company’s and WiFi passwords a few times and it’s such a pain because our camera is outside the bedroom window first floor so we have to lean out the window, unscrew it and go through the whole process again just to add the new WiFi. It’s like we’re adding the camera for the first time again. So annoying! Why can’t we just add a new WiFi via the app? To be fair it’s the same with ring products but we don’t have to hang out of a bedroom window for that one. 3*** for picture quality because it is good for the price. But the app needs to do better and I really would like the app and device to sync up better.
Actually the preferred app
I’ve been using this app with an Anran cam for years. Works better than their software VU know this now since I just purchased a second cam which for some reason was being stubborn to work with this app, so I’m using their app for now. Once I can get the proper UID off the new cam, I will easily be able to add it to this app.

Easy to set up but only stayed “connected” for about ten minutes. Did an update & it wouldn’t come on at all. Returning it immediately.
Updated after latest update (23/04/2023
Updated 23/4 - Update seems to have fixed issue regarding not saving cameras added. Thank you. Update after 21/4 - App keeps forgetting the cameras I’m adding once the app is closed. It’s also now asking for a exact location setting to be turned on which isn’t needed. Please fix, app isn’t saving cameras added. Update after 1st April 23. App seems to still run as normal which is good news but now the preview box on rotation to landscape more or playback has a reduced screen size, and when you click on ‘fill’ it expands past the actual screen size, cuts off the year on time top right and IP off the left hand top right. When you don’t have fill on there’s now an inch or so either side of the preview which could be utilised like before. Update After todays update 21/09/22 it seems to have fixed the rotation issue with video playback and I can now use the app properly again. (OLD) Works fine until you want to rotate your phone into landscape mode then it stays in portrait mode and only a section of the screen shows. You have to force quit / close the app and reload. This means you can’t playback alarm notifications as they auto switch to landscape mode which is does not work.
Never works after update
The camera never moves around after any updates and reboot from App doesn’t do anything . Getting frustrated and considering changing make.
Steaming on multiple devices
We use to be able to stream on multiple devices at once. Now it only allows 3 at a time.
Simply the best
If you don’t want to get ripped off and want to be free of proprietary ridiculous restrictions from major corporate America, get ip cams and use them with camhi. Been using these for a decade at twenty rentals and great solution and it is secession proof.
Not working
Awful!! Wasted money. It seems like the camera works but never able to get it on my phone or connect. Kept trying to get it connected on my iPhone but never working. Now I have to buy a different one. Wasted money!
Please fix on iOS 16
Good cam app but not compatible yet withcnew update of iOS 16. When going into full screen or playing recordings, it stretches the video vertically. Please fix. Update: Been updated today (21-Sep-2022) and its working back to normal again. Awesome app once again.
Add Alexa linking feature
Hey I see that CamHiExt has Alexa linking but CamHiPro does not. Wondering if you can add this feature in?
Not the best
We liked this once we figured out how to connect it up (needed an extension cord) and connect our phones. But about a year later with the update the camera does not track well anymore. It doesn’t follow people/movement like it used to. That was one of the main reasons why we bought it. It’s almost like it just stops and fixates on a person and stays there even if they move out of that zone. Also, the sensitivity is too high even though I’ve turned it down twice. We get a ‘Human Alert’ when birds fly by or the leaves rustle. Still hasn’t changed after two updates to the sensitivity. We’re about ready to purchase a better camera unless we hear from you on how to fix these issues. Thank you.
