FYI
Has always been my favorite Spades game. In the beginning, it kept freezing on me and I would have to delete it and then reload it. However, I can see that glitch has been taken care of and I no longer have that problem. I love playing this game. kudos to the developer.
Don’t get
If you love having obnoxious and loud ads that you cannot get rid of play after every hand, run right out and download this game. Otherwise, forget it.
Not typical play
When playing partners, the computer partner when going last will spade over tricks I am winning it play a higher card and take the trick….. Will also lead with a low card when I’m going nil while having higher cards in hand. Just not typical play.
Cheats
Got 2 stars mainly because Sometimes the game cheats too much that’s a lot that gets annoying and stopped playing for sometime would give 3 plus stars otherwise

Poor Partner Programming
My largest issue with this game is that the programmers/developers, designed the partner in the game to not assist with mindfulness and skill. The game’s partner cut my books even when it could have thrown off by playing a different suit so that I would win that book. The game’s partner plays as a solo player it does not play with a partner in mind. That sucks and makes the game unfun. I will uninstall this game after I leave this review.
Sandbagging scores
I was really enjoying the game until I notice that if you bid 0, and get 0 books, they give you 100 points. But if you bid 0 and get 1 book, you’re negative 100. Once my competitor got 300 points for having 0 books. Ridiculous!

Great version of Spades
I was raised playing Spades, love it. Wish there was a penalty for not making your bid though, besides in a Nil hand. It would be more challenging. Very frustrating when an ad gets “stuck” and can’t be closed. I do appreciate the short length of the ads, that’s great! Fun game, I like the different levels of play. I highly recommend this version and I’ve tried a lot!❤️
Only Two Players
When there are only two players it is obvious the computer is one of them. Also when a player misses two turns and the computer takes over stop the WOW gloating.
The Deal
Please,please,please allow me to choose a perfectly random deal like the ones I would get sitting at a table with friends. I appreciate the computer players are programmed and will not necessarily play the same way a person would particularly if playing any one card were to end the game unfavourably for that player. Nevertheless it is patently transparent that I am given an easy hand or an obvious losing hand according to the skill level set

I play the pro series and win at about 87% of the time but I notice if I bid nil they all work to stop me which is normal but if one of the bots bids nil they all do their best to help it succeed.

Poor play
Playing on “Pro” level. Opponent to my left bids nil. About 6th trick I lead 4 spades, nil bidder plays 7 spades, my partner plays 9 spades, opponent to my right plays a diamond. As cards come out I see my partner had the two and 5 of spades? So my opponents are “pro” and my partner is a novice? Worthless. Probably good if you are a beginner.

Poor Computer partner
Partner will trump your high card to win the hand. Does not assist in nil bid by playing their highest suited card. They play a lower card to lose nil bid then play a higher same suit card right after. Can’t win when your “Pro” player doesn’t play very well. Needs program corrections. Look at other Spades games instead.

Even in standard mode, the cards dealt are bull. You get nothing but low cards every time. Almost impossible to beat that kind of deal. Same with Pro mode. All low cards in every suit dealt. How you supposed to beat that?
Troublesome iPhone issue
Unfortunately I can only get one hand played on my phone then have to reset the game. It works well on iPad. I really enjoy the game.

Why do I have to watch disgusting ads of people having sex???? I can no longer opt out of them, you don’t ask the viewers age, and I have to turn my phone over so that I do not have to watch filth. The game is good; the ads are trash.
Under-bidding
When an opposing player has attained their bid they immediately start to throw away books by playing what would have been winning cards. A real player would have submitted a higher bid to account for their winning cards which would create a more realistic book count pre-hand.
Needs updated
It will not allow me to chose 6 books. Some plays are just not realistic.

The game is great. Love it. Having said that I am getting very tired of all the ads. I get it that you need to make revenue from your games but really, do you have to have an ad after each score in the game. I am getting very frustrated by this and am at the point of “the frustration” of your ads are not worth playing the game!!

Not Realistic
Playing in Standard mode is more challenging than the Pro mode. Easy mode is just ridiculous. If a player or team doesn't make their bid, nothing. They should go set. Opponents will not take bags at the expense of throwing away tricks that should have been bid. When playing in team mode, the play is anything but team. Your partner will take your trick if he hasn't gotten his tricks yet. The only thing that is really done well is the ads. You get one after every hand, but I guess thats the point. Make the player watch the ad so the inept programmers make money and play real spades in their basement.

I think the operation is slow, the graphics are beautiful, i think it needs blind nil bidding also,!!

I agree with other reviewers. Partner will cut over. I sometimes under bid by and it works out for me. I shouldn’t have play my hand and my partner’s too. I can pretty much tell what the bots are going to play. I’ve had this app for a few years. I just deleted it today. It started glitching. That was my queue.

Terrible job of programming a “game”
It’s a good thing this program isn’t a part of the American defense system! It is so predictable and screwed up that the only thing it is capable of is providing the human with a screw job! If you bid 1, you will take 3! If you bid nil, you are guaranteed of taking 1! The computer is not interested in making its bid! All it is programmed to do is screw the human! Basically, the program acts as a gigolo for the programmers! Giving this a 1 was more than it deserved and only because I couldn’t give it a zero!

I have always liked this version of this game. However, with the latest update, the game freezes after a hand with no way to move forward. I have loads of space on my iPhone. I also rebooted my phone to clear memory.
