Random Numbers?
While backgammon can be an exceptionally fun and thrilling game to play due to the luck involved with the roll of the dice, there is no roll in this game. A number is somehow generated and that is what you are given. Through extensive playing I have found that the nearly impossible probabilities of numbers that could occur do occur not rarely but often in the numbers generated game. So if you want to be on the wrong side of 7+ doubles being rolled in a row or the opponent getting off the bar 5 consecutive times in one roll with only one spot open while it takes you 6 rolls to get out when there are 3 open spaces, this games for you.

設定では、サウンドのボタン一個で、駒を移動させたクリックオンと、ムード音楽っぽいBGM、の両方をオンオフする設定。 駒の移動の効果音は欲しいけど、BGMは聴きたくないのに、 それが出来ないので、ストレスフルです。 あと、ライセンス課金がなくて、やたらと広告を強制的に見させられのがストレスです。 1ゲームして試しただけですが。 ゲームそのものとしては、CPU対戦のレベル設定もできますし、私は使いやすいと思いました。 サウンド設定の改善と、広告を表示させない課金、それが実現したら買いたいアプリです。
やりやすくて面白いです！
英語ができない身としては、怪しい翻訳がない完全日本語は安心してプレイできていいですね。広告なしの有料版もぜひ出してほしいです！
Used to be good
I’ve had this game for several years and it used to be good. Recently, however, the advertising between games has gotten out of hand. Often they won’t even go away so I have to close the app and reopen it. I promise you this, I will never buy another game from this company ever again.

Ads relentlessly blocking game board
I’ve enjoyed playing this game for a while, but for the last few weeks, the Google ads block the game board. When you click on add choices to make it disappear, it still won’t unblock the content rendering the game useless so don’t bother with this app
Most Adult Backgammon BUT…………
The game is fine, but gets hijacked by some idiotic matching game. It freezes and users must restart Apple devices to continue until it freezes again. Please fix this. It happens on both iPad and iPhone.
After comparison
I think this is the best backgammon available. I play the hardest levels. I sent an email to the creators concerning dice and if it’s rigged. They have a dice statistic that shows it is not rigged. The game is not gimmicky. It’s just good old fashion backgammon. So please ignore my other reviews. I was too new to this app.
Annoying ads
I cannot get rid of the ads on iPhone and iPad and cannot see an option even to pay! Very annoying and useless. Hope developer will advise! Scoring is odd , very odd. I logged out of my desktop and uninstalled.
Unexplained data
This is a good “live” game. It took me awhile to decipher what labels such as 25K, 1D, and 2D meant. They relate to one’s “win” achievements. It’s also nice to be able to look into the room to see who’s playing. The ranking data is a great addition., but the basis for awarding rating points is unclear. It would definitely be more interesting if there were a “chat” option for online play. My main criticism is the annoying adds,….just wait it out and look for the faint, little “x”s. Also, I am fairly certain that the dice are not always random. I actually played a game where I knew what rolls were coming up because they were an exact repeat of the previous game, lol.
Favorite among all the cheaters
If only it wouldn’t freeze up every second game. Please fix. Even after shutting down my iPhone it remains frozen

Vorweg: dieses Backgammon betrügt nicht. Das ist immer eine Beschwerde sehr schwacher Backgammon-Spieler, die nicht verstehen, dass ein guter Spieler so spielt, dass er im nächsten Zug viele vorteilhafte Würfelwürfe haben wird. So spielstark ist dieses Backgammon meines Lieblings-Go-App Herstellers aber gar nicht; ich habe noch kein Match auf 7pt dagegen verloren. Teilweise macht es - gerade im Umgang mit dem Verdopplerwürfel - recht schwache Züge selbst auf seinem höchsten Level. Ansonsten find ich’s recht gut für ein werbefinanziertes Spiel - zwei schöne Bretter, saubere Umsetzung aller Backgammon-Regel (Verdoppler, Matches bis 15 incl. Crawford-Regel, Ausprobiermöglichkeit verschiedener Züge). Kann man sich nicht beschweren. Für ambitioniertere Backgammon-Spieler gibt’s stärkere Apps im Store, aber für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert.
Ha ha..this game cheats
Hilarious! You can absolutely 10000000% count on this game rolling four WHATEVER IT NEEDS whenever it needs to. Even on easy play, this game cheats. It’s hysterical. As long as you don’t mind losing….constantly….this is an attractive, easy to play, ad free game. But you’re going to lose.
It’s a good way to learn
But it cheats (won’t let you move a piece you should be able to move) and the count is off sometimes.
Nasty Joke of a Game - Beyond Rigged
Algorithmic nightmare dominated to have you and lose in roller coaster fashion in order to play with your emotions. Absolutely nothing random here. Just a nasty joke of a game.

Big time cheater
Okay, I’ve counted to verify over an extended sample. This app does NOT use honest dice unless someone rewrote the laws of averages. The more difficult settings manipulate the dice rolls to make it harder to win. You will get approximately 6 2/1 rolls for every 6/6 roll. Also instead of a double every 6 rolls like you should get, it will be about 1 every 10 or 12 rolls instead. The app also is ridiculously stupid in late game situations. Accepts stupid doubles and proposes doubles even when it only needs one game to win for instance. Many other idiotic moves as well. Sheesh. Can anyone recommend a backgammon app that is both honest and intelligent in all game scenarios. I haven’t found one yet.

In what universe is it possible that doubles come up this repeatedly in a dice game! The algorithm is faulty. It favors one player over another, based on what I couldn’t tell you. Fix it people!

Fun but unreal
Used this game for a number of years. It’s ok if you treat it as just fun, but it’s just not representative of “ over the board” backgammon. The higher the rating you achieve the more the dice rolls are unrealistic. It gets to the stage when you simply can’t leave a blot without it being taken off the board. I’ve learned to change account name regularly to avoid the software taking over.
Beatable but cheats
I’ve been playing for over forty years and made a serious study of the game over time, so I have a pretty good sense of tactics at any given point in play. The board surface interface is good and is pleasant to play; no garish colours etc. The game offers five levels of play, 5 being the highest; typically as with all such games that have an apparent random feature (dice in this case) the lower levels cheat in favour of the human player, but sadly like all other apps I’ve come across this also happens at the highest level but it’s not so blatant as many on offer. At a match it is beatable as its programming for tactical positions and ‘doubling’ is not foolproof. My winning ratio when in match play at level 5 is 80% but the app despite on occasion using poor strategy on its part ensures that the ratio of my winning never exceeds 80%, simply by having a perfect storm of dice throws and over a period of several games; one game I remember it gave itself seven high numbered doubles at the end ensuring it victory. So when playing it you need to take in to account that it is likely to roll more double numbers than you do so your strategy needs to take this into account. Its dice statistics indicate that it rolls significantly more double 6,5,3 and 2’s and this is standard across all platforms when playing it whether on PC or mobile units. It is also prone to having the first turn; its own dice statistics typically indicates 52 to 48% in its favour, however my own estimates in its starting ratio is closer to 75% immediately putting you at a consistent disadvantage. But as I said earlier it is beatable if you get to know when it will offer a double and the situations it will accept a double. Its middle game strategy is relatively weak so it is possible to beat it from a poorer pip point position if you have a stronger positional sense. I usually know when it is programmed to win a match as its doubling tactic is much more aggressive and it tends to have a range of dice throws although not blatant that will on average give it favourable outcomes. What I do find curious is that it now and again is programmed to allow itself to lose a three point ‘backgammon’ game when it could get away with a gammon; this was the first clue to me realising its programming was not honest. However the app can be used as a good learning tool and will enable a beginner or intermediate player opportunity to improve their tactics and sense of gameplay.
Waste of time
Don't waste your time on this game Dice roll constantly in the computers favor even on the easy mode. Very frustrating. Delete this game or it will frustrate you and you'll break your tablet! Shame on the creators of this game. Oh and the ads are relentless! Don't bother!
Dice rolls suspect
The computer seems to want to determine the win we, unless you want to believe that one of the players gets doubles almost every roll, and is able to come from behind and get all their men off first due to getting 3 sets of high doubles in a row. THE GAME CHEATS

Dice are not random
At the beginning, 4 of 5 rolls are 6,5. That is not random. If one game, okay, but comes too often to be random. Still, a very fine display, matching is efficient, and different opponents such as playing against machine are first rate. Just get the dice to be random.

It plays videos in the background and can’t exit out. Terrible app
Misleading
Starts off quite fairly, but before you know it the ai is constantly getting 1/36 prob moves and similarly you are constantly throwing the most unlikely rolls that screws up your whole position. Difficult doesn’t mean loaded dice.
A deceptive algorithm.
The algorithm for this program favors all those with a ‘D’ status - Ds will win the first roll 99% of the time, and their first roll will be one of the ideal combinations (6/6, 6/1, 6/5, 5/3,…etc) 95% of the time. Also, in the final moves, the Ds will throw the exact combination of numbers to win - 90% of the time. There are many more issues that prove that this game is manipulated to favor ‘certain’ players, without skill involved. I will not waste any more time with this program for a game I love!
Disappointing
At first, I played a lot offline against the AI. The lower rated AI’s are ridiculously easy but I found the top level ok. The problem came when I decided to play online. I believe I am still playing against an AI mostly and when I am in a position to win, my opponent either throws exactly what they need or will pull out a couple of doubles and I lose. I am not a bad player but I have yet to win online despite being in the stronger position in most of the games I have played. Disappointing.
