Very good app. Request for developer
Great application very usefull, but could perfect if - we could configure shoots capacity on the magazine, so the app can be counting until advice for reloading the magazine. - we could configure minimun velocity alert, so app can give us an alert to refill air tank if the speed goes lower than valor configured. Thank you for you effort.
Unacceptable
Great physical products should be paired with a good app to support it, sadly, this isn’t the case here. The app looks like it was designed by an amateur and built with ChatGPT. Truly awful. I expected a lot more. I also expect language choices when I bought this in the UK, I shouldn’t be forced to read the abomination that is American English. I hope FX have a plan to improve this because right now, I’m considering selling the device it pairs with.

Application perfectible
L’appli n’est pas si mal mais comporte un bug gênant au niveau du calcul de l’énergie en joules. Lors de la mesure au stand le calcul se fait correctement et la valeur juste s’affiche sur le radar et sur l’appli. Mais dès lors qu’on enregistre la session en démarrant un nouveau string, les valeurs d’énergie deviennent n’importe quoi (on passe de 3000 joules mesurés à 700 sans possibilité de modification). J’ai refait des profils sur certaines armes en paramétrant le bon poids de projectile mais ça ne fonctionne pas. J’ai également tenté de paramétrer le poids de balle directement via l’appli et d’envoyer la config au radar mais idem. Même en paramétrant le radar en manuel, le bug persiste. Je n’avais pas le problème sur les anciennes versions de l’appli et du firmware du radar. Pouvez-vous faire en sorte que les valeurs soient à nouveau enregistrées de façon juste ? Édit du 17/03/2026 : J’ai tenté de modifier l’unité primaire en mettant l’énergie en 1er et la vitesse en secondaire sur l’appli. Magique, l’énergie calculée est juste (mais ce n’est pas pratique car un ne voit pas la vitesse et il faut afficher les shots pour en avoir le détail. Lorsque je remets les paramètres originaux, le calcul de l’énergie est à nouveau faussé.

Works perfect from day one, not, never , nada ever an issue/ had shoot thru design before, light sensitive, wanted to throw it in burn barrel.
Mk11 pocket radar
I bought this radar just before lockdown, I tried back then for a few weeks to get it to connect with no joy, so I put it back in its box as I was moving home, i unpacked it 2 weeks ago to try it again, I finally got it to connect, maybe it was down to the latest firmware update, I’ve tried multiple shots down range after putting my profile details in and still have had a single reading from it, I’m half a ton of pellets down and still no clue to what the power of my gun is.
Works great
Never had an issue. Has worked nearly flawlessly from the start. It might miss a shot or give a false reading 1 out of every 500 shots. Being able to rename profiles and a better mounting system would get it to 5 stars.
Very poor at times
Whilst I’ve had some good runs with my chrono, over the last few weeks, it’s been very poor and struggles to connect with my IPhone. App and phone are up to date. The issue seems to be Bluetooth dropping in and out. It’s very frustrating. Fingers crossed it’s a phone update away from improving, but I’m not holding my breath. I like the FX Chrono a lot but it’s not reliable for me currently which is a shame.

Many issues and problems with this chronograph
Since the update of iOS 15.5 the app and the chronograph have many issues to connect to each other as well as the sensivity and the shot count. FX, please fix the issues!
Game Changer of a Product but…
Please for the love of god make a better way of exporting all the data including the BCs of single shots! You’re the only product on the market to date that calculates BCs so let us use that data to make our shooting and loading better. You have the data already in the app but the export doesn’t include any of it. I’m having to write down each of the BCs per shot to do any calculations in excel. Either way thanks for reading!
Great product and app.
Product and app are great out of the box, but the App needs some updating. For eg when creating a new profile or viewing an existing one, the title field is solid white, despite my phone recognising the characters. I think this may be a result of using Apple’s dark mode to save power. Other than that, an absolute doddle to use (and I am a novice)- it just works!

Out the box, on the gun hook up the app flawless. Creating a profile easy. However the optional pellet make window erases when you change the pellet type.. aaaarghhhh 4 guns, 6 pellet types that can make it definitely optional. On the iPad in the saves and shot string it would be nice to have all the velocities mph, kph ft.lb. Etc
I want to like this app!
I just downloaded iPhone app on Jan 22, apparently after a UI redesign. Can’t delete a profile, also trying to figure out how to edit a profile as the edit icon letting you rename the profile is not there. Hoping for an update soon and an accurate iPhone guide with accurate instructions (or a video).
Needs some work
Not very intuitive to use but you get used to it after a while. As the FX chronograph is useless without this app, I’d have expected more attention to its functionality. The gun profile name doesn’t show up when editing that field - as if it’s set to white text on white background. Changes to the profile also don’t always save, for example, changing to a different weight pellet.
Almost perfect
Excellent app, only flaw was an inability to see profile name on settings page ( iPhone 8 latest iOS, iPad on older iOS works fine ) Could I suggest a sync function via Dropbox for users with multiple devices as an alternative to the email & clipboard.
Was good, now useless.
I’ve been looking at all the reviews. All the good ones are years old, all the bad ones are recent! Was working really well up to about 6 months ago, and then they had to change it again and now it’s next to useless! Without this app the chrono’s worthless. Do FX read this stuff, if so, FIX IT.
Works OK
Most of the functionality is OK. -Some Texts in the profiles are not visible while changing (entered text is invisible while entering) -Changing units to metric does not change the standard profiles -Spreadsheet Download works well.
Graph option!!!
I’ve been using FX Radar for some time on Android and when I switched to iOS I saw that there is no GRAPH option…this is not expectable ,what is the diference with Android and iOS to not let the full potential of the Radar! Please add this function to iOS!
Needs work
When creating a new profile the text is white on white so you can not see what you are typing. No back button or save you have to use the return key on the keyboard Also no options to input weight in grams
Good but limitations for .177
The app is really good and works well. One comment for developers: in the Saves menu you can only read the main unit selected. It would be good to also be able to see at least the second unit. Or even better all the parameters (grains, brand...).
Can’t add title to shot strings
It used to be a decent app. Now the app no longer allows me to label my profiles. It only allows me to add a new profile with a fixed title, which is the current date. Why can’t I label the title how I want? Now I have no idea what’s what since I can’t label anything anymore
Pretty Good
After using it for a full day, it works pretty good. It does miss a shot every now and then, but so did my Crony Beta, and setting this up and carrying it is far easier then the Crony. I had a extra web and Velcro strap that fit perfect, would be nice to have something like that come with it. There is a bit of a learning curve and with no instruction in the box it’s a bit of trial and error. It toot me a while to finally figure out how to delete a string so I could start fresh. It would be nice to have a Quick Start Guide in the box with all of the basic functions. I also wish I could delete the stock profiles, I have ZERO need for them and they just clutter up the profiles area. All in all, it hurt a bit to spend $200.00 on the radar but it’s a very compact, convenient package that I’m enjoying very much. My shooting bag just got a lot lighter. 😁
Airsoft
It works very well as a chrono. However there are a few things I would like to see improved upon within the app to make it more viable. 1) Allow weights to be entered in grams not just grains. (It’s a pain having to convert manually) 2) History just seems to save the primary measurement (FPS in my case) but it doesn’t save the secondary (Joules in my case) 3) it doesn’t seem to measure rate of fire (ROF) this is an important measurement for airsoft. Overall it is a great device and I would recommend it but can’t score it more highly because of the above.
Great chronograph
Update Review Well done FX, since my last review you have added everything that I asked for, It now gets a 5 star rating, if I could give you 6 stars I would. Previous review: (It’s an excellent chronograph, it just needs the rough edges smoothed out on this app to become a 5 star. Currently I have to cut and paste the results into an Numbers spread sheet to calculate average FPS and standard deviation, it would be nice if the app did the calculations within the app.)
iOS Incompatibility
This app (v1.5.45) is incompatible with iOS 14.6 and 14.7. It works well with earlier versions. FX support reports no compatibility updates are planned at this time.
Nice App
I really like this APP and it is the ideal compliment to the FX Chrono. It would be nice though in future if the “Shot String” page could also show the secondary speed reading as well in another column. I like the new email feature as well but any chance we could output all of the columns in the Shot String; this ties up with my other wish above. Keep the features coming.
Need Improvements
Have connection issues from time to time. Also misses shots at times. Haven’t figured out how delete a profile yet. Hate the mounting bracket...rubber bands?...really?! Missing stats that other apps offer. Needs work!
Excellent kit
Well Done FX great little bit of kit just keep on top of the app side this is an excellent tool works well against my skan which uk authorities use to test rifles etc. A great build and with app being updated then it will be a continued success i feel.
Not worth it, feel cheated
Paying over $200 for a little plastic unit that runs on AAA batteries and doesn’t even come with the necessary rubber band... really? For that price it should come with a modern rechargeable battery and if not a suitable clamp, at least a life supply of rubber bands. Unfortunately, this seems to be the new trend with all electronic stuff for shooters
App user
Awesome app no issues with sync only downfall is when you create a profile it changes all shot strings, you should be able to save a shot string to each profile to allow pellet comparisons....
My FX Radar I need help
I’ve had the FX radar about 6 months when I first purchased it I had no problems at all. I used it yesterday and the thing made me so mad, it wouldn’t give me any readings shot after shot nothing

The radar machine seems to work well. However, the app is very poor and besides the annoying connection format, to profile different guns have issues also.

Bitte möglich machen das man alles zu einer Serie speichern kann. Gewicht, Joule, FPS usw. und nicht nur ein Wert pro Schuss. Ist ja alles vorhanden.

This is an ok app, apart from it won’t save different profiles for different guns, ie impact, wildcat, it just says gun and date aa profile header
Bugs and annoyances
No way to save preferences of not registering (users have to click through annoying dialogs to get to the main panels). App doesn't communicate with device properly; battery status on chrono will read 0% when this occurs (often). Clear list stopped working. Needs work!
Works but could be so much more
The app makes a highly functional chrono work effortlessly but there are a few bugs and missed opportunities. I hope further updates release the potential of this chronograph.
