Terrible
This app is terrible. It doesn’t even show it snowing in my area and we have 2/3 inches on the ground and won’t stop snowing until late tonight. I’ve found its outlook is always about the opposite of what goes on in my woods. Go get Spartan Forge and forget this app existed.

Basically a good weather app, nothing more
I’ve had the app now for several years, and so I’ve had a lot of time to test out all the features. The only reason it’s not 1 star is because as a weather app, it is pretty good. Everything else is almost useless. I would never take into consideration if it’s a “great” “good” or “poor” day to hunt, based solely on the app. Some of my best hunts were mornings when it was “okay” and some of my worst were on days it was supposed to be “great”. Just use your brain, likely if you’ve hunted a while you know which days will be good by looking at any weather app. The reason I’m still only giving 2 stars is for the price. If it were significantly cheaper or even free, or actually worked like advertised, I’d have no problem giving 5 stars. But it’s definitely too expensive for its accuracy and usefulness.

I have used this app for a few years now and It is the greatest tool in my arsenal. I hunt a small property so getting a pattern on these deer is really important. Using this app and marking my calendars is how I “predict” when my deer will show up. I have killed my target buck every year I used deer cast.

Not working
I was trying to use the deer tracker and it said I needed to upgrade, so I did and tried to pay for it then it said I already had it. So I go back to use it and it says the same thing. And I tried to do it with the higher upgrade. Same thing

Allow it to use weather and location data for Canada
Seems like a good app but as others have mentioned, it’s not available for use in Canada right now.
Not very accurate
This app is a great concept but it can be wildly inaccurate much like the regular forcast. Some of my best hunts have been on “Poor” days. Some of the “Great” days I don’t see a deer. This is on prime private land in MO, KS and TN where seeing 15-40 deer is common. For credibility, I’m fortunate enough to archery hunt 50+ times a season and target bucks over 150”. I’ve found the best accuracy is when there’s 3-5 days of the same DeerCast. Don’t put much trust when there’s stretches of significant ups and downs. Hopefully with more data and tweaking the algorithm, they can make it better. Hope that helps. Good luck y’all!

Wind is always wrong Not sure where they get there weather. I see more deer on slow days. Rut is off by a week in my area.
A Canadian hunter
I initially heard about the app while listening to the Wired to hunt podcast and was interested in seeing how it could help with hunting this year. The app looks awesome, but sadly it isn’t available for use in Canada right now. Hopefully it comes out in an update, then I’m sure my review will change

Not accurate
This app is not accurate at all, might be more accurate for those closer to Drury’s home but hasn’t been worth much here.
Accurate forecasts
I’ve been comparing the number of deer showing up at the feeders with the forecast and this app gets it right most of the time. I am impressed.
Seems like a scam
Downloaded the app, paid for subscription, app won’t open! Updated my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, still won’t open! My IPhone is only 2 months old so it should work!

The best Tool to add to your hunt package is Deer Cast. Whether you’re planning vacation days for hunting or just checking out the weekends. The accuracy of Deer Cast gives you a higher percentage of success.

Love love the App! There is so much you can do with this, it’s amazing. I use the parcel feature all the time. The most helpful for me while trying to pick stand location and hunting is the hour by hour wind predictions. Would hate to hunt without it!
Poor at best
App is not working properly. Will not update conditions and will get error message and to try to update later… what good is that in the middle of archery hunting season!!! And when it works, predictions are way off. Wishing to get my money back but that’s not going to happen. Already cancelled my auto renewal for next year
