Zero star - nothing like Stronghold
This game is nothing like stronghold even though the ads they show were from like the old stronghold game. This is another of those games where you build things where they want you to when they want you to. There is no creativity or flexibility or strategy or fun.

They really should test more before they release a new version. Also it crashes almost every day at game reset,
Five Stars…but
I really enjoy this strategy game because you can keep moving at your own pace without having to wait a long time. The one knock on it is that any of the promotional packages or items that help you advance are only available through Apple Pay or whatever device you’re on, there are no ads to get items to help you advance. On the one hand that’s refreshing but you have to curb your enthusiasm. Otherwise you’ll have a Credit card Bill that starts increasing quickly. Graphics are very good. I like that I can expand my kingdom and recall troops that are killed in battle. It’s a well-thought-out game.
Game experience
This is my experience with game so far has been not so great. My biggest problem with this game is the developers are constantly coming up with new heroes. This is non stop to the point that you end up with heroes that do not get maxed out to their full combat level. This is a problem because you end up with 50 heroes and you only get 5 legions😂. So when you need to change your heroes it becomes a nightmare. The hero’s in this game is like a revolving door. So take my advise and do not start playing it because it takes along time to get strong enough to have fun and you have to spend so much time in the game trying to stay up with all new heroes. The game just sucks, it could be a good game but quick money is all they care about and that is sad.

Lack of accuracy a turnoff
First you had me create a mill on a body of water where it wouldn’t function, then I produced ale in a distillery. Ale is fermented, not distilled. I stopped at that point. Do you guys think about what you’re doing?
It’s okay…
Game ads a don’t match game. The ads show where you get to pick a monster type character and take “ revenge” on humans, which sounded fun. But the game is just another build the kingdom type of story.

Pretty Good, but laggy and p2w
I love this game, it’s really good and as long as you sign in regularly you can progress a lot, during a event, I got 500 8 hour speed ups and 20 super recruitment tickets. And I’ve reached 20k and spent like 50k gems without buying anything. So yeah pretty good but it’s still really p2w. I get that skins are hard to get but practically everyone of the skins is required to be bought or a ridiculous number of event items spent to obtain it. On top of that the game lags a crazy amount but most of the time it’s good. So yeah overall pretty good game but could use better performance and less p2w
Good game, but can’t figure out how to contact support
I was really getting into this game and I’m having a glitch that I can’t figure out. In the App Store, I tried to find app support and it brought me to their website, but with no place to mention the bugs.

Lies
When I started this game, they said you did not have to pay to play now they reward those that pay the most. If you’re not willing to literally spend 30, 40 $50,000 don’t play the game only those pay win. They also say they protect the rest of us from cheat codes or cheating. This is not true most of the big players use cheat codes or buy things online to give them an advantage again you gotta spend tons of money to play this game. Don’t waste your time.
Iron mines
I’m trying to build iron mines, but it keeps saying “cannot connect roads in this position.” Everytime I move it to another square around the iron deposit, it keeps saying the same thing. Now I have roads wrapped around the iron deposit and 2 iron mines that I can’t build because of the whole cannot connect roads thing. I don’t know what to do. I need help with it. You guys need to fix that.

This game is p2w the devs don’t care for the average joe aslong as people log in, in game events benefit absolutely no one with pointless rewards, sp hero and castle skins are complete SCAM, 0.01% probability, absolute scammers, play for fun or don’t play at all if you get addicted they devs will make you broke without a care in the world, over than that, really good game, some boring seasons but the people that play are what make it what it is, if it wasn’t for loyal players and friends made this game would be dead

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
Developers are not responsive, they request SS then can’t even be bothered to look at them. The reply and close out your issue without even giving you a chance to reply to them. If you chose to play this game be prepared to screen shot every aspect. Don’t hold your breath waiting for the developers to correct anything. They do not care but will take your money and do nothing to fix glitches
Weird reviews, good game
All the Reviews say it’s ONLY pay to win but it is very possible to play the game without spending anything. all you need is patience and a brain and I have made it very far doing just that. I do think that the developers made it too easy to progress by spending money but you don’t need to. In all I think it’s a step below an amazing game but still good if you have time to play.
Too many errors
This game plays like a 1990s beta version without support. It's a wonderful game when it works, but for all the money Longtech makes you would think they'd hire some competent programmers. Update after update and it actually gets worse. It's difficult to chat, the lag prevents actual gameplay during wars, and the support staff close tickets before there's a resolution when you complain. This could be so much better but instead you get a "sorry for bad gameplay" copy/ paste messages.
NEEDS server merge
Lots of dead servers, at least the one I’m on. Needs a merge with more active one.

Been playing for years. Have switched phones several times. Game will only let me replay the stupid long tutorial on my new device. Honestly it may be a good thing. I’ve spent enough money on this pay 2 win black hole. And it has only been getting worse each year.

I have played this game primarily as a free to play gamer and have faced extreme bias and been targeted as a result. The challenge isn’t the problem, it’s when managerial decisions are made that clearly lack common sense and only destroy the capacity of the “state” that myself and other gamers are a part of. When a merger with another state introduced an enemy of zero morals or civility it became clear what the end game was. Beware gamers. There are bots and fake alliances with imaginary players all designed to control and manipulate player spending. Save your money.

5 years wasted time
Loved at first but became money pit. Played many years, what others are saying is true, you don’t spend, you’re left in the dust. I finally woke up and sucked up the money lost and deleted my accounts..
Game is great!
The top thing about this game is the people! Chat is very active, full of exp players happy to help any new players. You will make real friends and have so much fun. The game is a strategy game, it is a marathon, not a sprint. At the start spend £1 and receive a free legendary and choose your own avatar. You do not have to spend, make farms to progress, people will explain the process and there are tutorials on YouTube. Many different events and many temptations to spend. I do recommend the monthly subscription and collect materials and dragonite every day, for making armour. There is always a chance to lose your resources if you choose to raid but popping on a shield will protect you. I’ve played this game on and off for years, there are some issues but honestly, it’s good fun and so much to learn, it will keep you occupied!

Honest Review-To Play or Not
After several months playing, here’s the reality: I’ve played free to castle level 20. Material gathering slows to a crawl now, as millions of materials are needed to progress. You are limited to 4 army/gatherers, and they don’t harvest fast. You easily have the ability to shield your base - provided you log on every 8-24 hours to reset the shield, which come in various lengths of time. Otherwise, prepare to get set back big time as a whale loots your base. Then you spend what little you have to heal your population from the raid. The game is time consuming-and you often wonder what these whales and others higher level players do for a job. There are also numerous events, sometimes half a dozen going on at the same time. You gain meager rewards and mats from these, as greater rewards are locked behind a paywall. Bottom line, even if you spend and become a raider, the game requires hours upon hours of play time. If you are unemployed with an inheritance, this may be the game for you!

Their are disagreements. When the game is disabled you are unable to move to a different server. Then you are struck with money and time. If you can move a smaller account to the providence.. But won't move your lvl 21 account
Great game
Excellent game I played it a lot and it’s very good with lots of stuff like lots of troops lots of buildings but just one thing it took a long to upgrade thing so like if you wanted a to upgrade the town hall to Leven 10 but you needed a level 10 wall but it like 4 hours then you would need to upgrade the town hall which would take like another 4 hours so you just have to wait to long for things in the game
Could be a good game but.. so frustrating
I’ve been playing for nearly 2 years now and have reached level 25. It takes so long now and so many resources to upgrade. You also need to spend a lot of money if you want to progress, have stronger heroes etc.. The real frustrating part is that if you forget to put your shield up over the weekend then you get attacked multiple times and all your resources and troops are wiped out. It will take months to get back to where I was and so for that reason I’m leaving the game.

Enjoying playing this game, takes a while to progress within it. But I have progressed without spending anything at all. Only annoying thing is it seems to crash on me every now and then but I log back in straight away without any problems. Really enjoy one of the in game mini games called ball drop, could this be developed further and make it a stand alone game?

This “game,” subjective labeling is probably the worst game I’ve ever seen. The game functions rarely work and the heroes are completely broken. Honestly, not sure how Apple has allowed this to stay in the App Store. I’m convinced the 5 star reviews are completely made up by company employees. This is a warning to people who haven’t started or thinking about playing this game. Unless you want to waste massive amounts of money, just walk away. Everything in this is insanely expensive, and the longer you play, the more you’ll have to spend. Heroes cost between $3-4,000, castle skins, around the same, wings for your castle are about $6-10,000. These are not typos. Then the battles rarely make sense. You’ll lose against weaker opponents. I think the devs believe this makes you want to spend more. It’s better to not start this. Even the big spenders are thinking of walking away at this point. This is how badly made this game is Edit: the devs have completely lost all concept of this game. The amount of players leaving is beyond measure at this time. States are dying across the entire game. Do yourself a favor and don’t start this garbage. If I could give it a negative five star review, I would

Every time there is a problem with the phone, and I have to reinstall it, I’m forced to play through at least 3 chapters before I can get back my account… you must do something about this. It’s really annoying.
Robbed blind
Something needs to be done to balance the game with regard to the weekend raids. If you forget to put on a peace shield you can be attacked by the same person repeatedly in a few minutes, losing all your resources and troops. A short peace shield should be deployed automatically after each attack to slow this down
