This used to be so easy to use. You just launch the app and do whatever you needed. Now you need to get a verification code each time you access the app. Had I known this was a policy I would’ve gone to another insurance company. I won’t be renewing it in the future unless this changed. It’s just a hassle to deal with. I called customer service and it was explained that they can’t do anything about it. So frustrating.

It’s really not hard to navigate the app and it tells you what you need to know it’s not bad just a lil pricey
Dropped policy
Bad customer service . I have been out of town and my wallet was stolen . No phone call to me letting me know about sending in payment . I just received my new credit card in mail sure to lost/stolen card policy . They are charging me 15.00 lapse in coverage and a reinstatement fee . Poor poor customer service as this was my only cc that I hold .

Why
It’s very frustrating when I need an email verification anytime I want to use the app. I added a new card as my old one was stolen. Automatic payments seem to be turned off for some reason. Dumb app.

My favorite insurance
I love the General! I’ve used other insurance companies and was met with horrible rates and bad customer service. One of which I still owe in collections today that I haven’t used for over 5 years now. The general has given me the lowest rate, the app makes payment very easy, and their customer service reps are very understanding and helpful when needed. I’ve been with the general for about 3 years now and I have zero intention on ever switching companies!

Sign in require getting email code
I have to go to my email to get a code from THE General to pay my bill . It’s irritating cause I have to to My email which requires me to get an email code from yahoo.com but then times up from the General SO I have to do it all over again !! Sometimes 6 times. Finally I give up!! Thinking of changing my car insurance. Your algorithm can check my phone number- that should be enough to verify it is me!!!
