Bad
This app trash, why twinkle twinkle little star so hard
Decent and useful
I have always used the Chinese version of this app, 一起练琴, but I changed my phone and now I realise most of the functions aren’t there anymore. I am a florist but my instrument doesn’t appear on this new app, for some reason. Nevertheless, the functions aren’t all great and it’s great using this app. No technical issues at all.
Encourages mechanical playing
I played a couple of pieces and scored mid-80s. I played them again, slowly and mechanically without expression and scored higher. Now maybe I’m just not that good, you say. So I played a recording of Yo Yo Ma playing the same piece and he scored a 75 (In your face, Yo Yo!). I’ve been teaching cello and writing music software algorithms for several decades. The app’s tendency to report correct notes as inaccuracies will prompt students to play more mechanically and less musically. It may be helpful for the most basic practice of getting students to play mostly right notes, but I do not want my students playing in the manner this software encourages, as if scoring points is the point. The very real challenge of teaching strings is producing a good tone and making musical phrases. This app actually discourages these practices.
Review for Violy
Love it! This app make my practice actually count! When I use this app mistakes are welcome! I love the audition setting! This app has literally all of the song in the world filed just for you! I highly recommend this app.
not good
When I tune my viola, it says “perfect!” Then, not even a minute later, it says “too low!”
Ok it’s average
I can play songs without having to pay. But what I would want is some more songs that can be played like more Christmas music and stuff. I also think that there should be music where the actual developers upload themselves so that they won’t have to rely on people to share their own music on there.
Doesn’t work
Can’t find the live class selection I only see piano vocal violin clarinet etc...

Great app! 5 stars
This app is great, and as a beginner violinist, it is really helpful to have an app with lots of sheet music and books. I love how there is a free version, where you still learn a lot without paying any money. I would definitely recommend this app to everyone wanting to learn and practic violin. One thing that I wish they could do was to add more songs. There is a limited amount of songs to play on the app.
What a BLOODY App
I want to say, it was a trash! the price was so high!
Good app
Helps a lot I would recommend!😀
been waiting for awhile.
clarinet????
cannot login with HK phone number
The country code has been set to +1 when I choose Hong Kong +852 so I cannot login anymore
It’s ok
I like it because I am a beginner. Jgkelsnjckdcodncos,spsmxjcod,s|:+’cnc
This app can be mistaken
When I got my intonation scores sometimes, it would run over the whole thing really fast and then the score would appear like, it didn’t catch me at all.
Great app But broke my E
This app is amazing but it broke my E string So this afternoon I was using this app and it told me to keep loosening my violin so I did. But then I saw that the string was too loose so I tried tightening it. Then the wood thing (bridge) came off. My mom saw it so she tried tightening it and then the E string broke off. I just wanted to write this so then every violinist knows that this is normal to happen and that your violin teacher could probably fix it.
Frustrating to use
I think the notes by notes instruction is not very accurate.
Best app ever
I can play whatever song I want and it’s just amazing
Uygulama açılmıyor
Numaramı giriyorum yok epostamı giriyorum yok başka numara ve epostayla deniyorum yok hiçbir şekilde açılmıyor
LOVE IT
This app is amazing yet too less options for songs and mostly classical. Though it’s good it still needs improvement ✨😊✨
Note by note doesn’t work
Note by note doesn’t work well on open strings, and notes that have harmonics, like G4 on D string, D5 on A string. Very frustrating.
This a great app!!!
I am an 8 yr old girl and I am using this app for violin. IT’S GREAT!!!
DO NOT use. Ask for phone number to sign up.
Do NOT sign up or use this app. It asks for your phone number in order to register. This alone is already a privacy problem. What does practicing music have to do with one’s phone number? Unless this app is trying to sell your data.
Synchronisation unavailable
The notes on my phone can’t be syn on my pad

Violy rate
I think violy is a good and useful application on your phone if you or anyone plays violin and needs some help! Just go to Violy(go to App Store and search violy) and start your practice with your violin!
Not Happy
I am not happy with this app, it has not been letting me send upload my own music docs, and it’s so low quality.......I feel very dissatisfied and disappointed
Not tried yet
Well,as a student, and I play the violin, my teacher has the Violy app but that is the first time she’s ever herd that you can do live class with Violy
Wait, there is a cello part?
It is literally 99% violin
It is a very good app!
I like it
Can’t delete account.
I was just curious about the available repertoire. I accidentally hit a “gift VIP” subscription button, and I cannot delete my account. I’m not interested in the app; repertoire is too limited. Please delete my account, I don’t want any subscriptions
I love it! But it could be better.
It’s awesome! I don’t usually tune my instrument, but now I know I have to! It makes tuning soooo easy. It’s like my own personal teacher! I do wish that we could play our own music and it would give us feedback on it. I absolutely LOVE it!
Great app, but there are some parts that could improve <3
So, let me just say that this is a great app for musicians and people that are looking for an app that helps them improve their music. You can download your own music, you can choose whatever instrument you want (keyboard, strings, woodwind, etc.) and it just magically listens to what you play and helps you fix your mistakes and stuff. There’s even an Audition where you play a couple of black keys and then it listens to you play that piece. There is also a Demo where you get to play along with a recording of your piece and just basically shows you where you have bad notes, mistakes and things. But the one part I would like you Developers to update a little is the Note-By Note thing. So, let’s say I download an exercise piece such as a Czerny. I play a couple of chords and they’re all correct. But somehow, the Note-By Note thing says one of the notes are wrong even thought they’re all correct. And also, it won’t move to the next note as long as you play the “correct note”. I like how the Note-By Note senses how your wrong, but sometimes it just doesn’t recognize what’s correct and what’s not, technically. So overall, I like this app, totally recommend it, but please improve the Note- By Note section. Thanks!
I’m stuck on the GDAE portion
Please fix this, thank you
i like it but
when you’re in audition mode and have to play eadg, the tuner is off and it tells me that it’s too flat/sharp when my snark tuner says otherwise. obviously a tuner that doesn’t actually feel the vibrations (or whatever) doesn’t work as well, but it’s annoying when it’s not right
Great practice tool!
Violy combines the great tool of a metronome with pitch. For a violinist, Violy is a gold mind. Violy helps me focus and set practice goals. Using Violy is like having a patient friend able to tell me when my pitch is a little too high or a little too low. Learning to use Violy with a non-judge mental attitude is an extremely powerful practice tool saving hours of trial and error. I also recommend the “play along” feature to play with a pianist or to play along matching pitch in unison. I highly recommend and use Violy on scales and etudes every day. My students using violy learn pieces faster than before. I have the student choose a section, play it slowly using note by note, then slowly with play along a couple times, then audition mode. Audition mode lets the student know if they need to go back to note by note and repeat the section or move forward with a new small section. The score provides the feedback.
Cellphone number registration required- beware!
Unacceptable privacy policy- cellphone number registration required to use the app. This is a non-starter for me. Please provide an option to use app without having to register.
4 stars
It's okay but needs improvement
