Totally reliable
Great bit of kit, strong silent motor, works brilliantly. LED light on motor is very useful, no hesitation to buy again.
Needs more work
The app has a very short range. You have to be very close to your garage to be able to use the app. Even then it shows an error message

Doesn’t Work on Apple Watch
Works great on my iPhone, but when I set it up on my Apple Watch, I just get a key error. Even though I have transferred the key data from my phone. A bit disappointing, as I was told it works with my watch. I think the app needs an update.

Funktioniert einwandfrei
Wir sind sehr zufrieden. Die App funktioniert sehr gut. Manchmal reagiert sie nicht auf Befehl „Tor öffnen“, aber das geht nur mit den zusätzlichen Schlüsseln, die wir gekauft haben. Aber in meiner App, das läuft problemlos.
Verbesserungsfähig
Eigentlich gut, aber Kosten für ein zweites Handy kann ich nicht verstehen. Außerdem reagiert es sehr, sehr langsam.

Functionally, the app works. But needs a UX overhaul. The CarPlay integration should be single tap, not multiple screens.

Seems robust enough but lacks basic functionality like native WiFi and Apple Car Play integration.
Bluetooth is laggy and unreliable
Bluetooth is unreliable and slow to respond. Even if it had just been connected it will say out of range. Nice feature when it works.

Grauenvoller Ersteinrichtung
Durch die verzögerte Reaktion der App in Verbindung mit der schlechten Bedienlogik ist das Ganze eine frustrierende Erfahrung, auch wenn es am Ende gelungen ist. Für einen solchen Hersteller unwürdig. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal die Software auf Wish bestellen. Ist billiger und trotz der chinesischen Zeichen leichter zu bedienen…
Fine basic functionality but
Apple Watch connectivity doesn’t work. Not really clear how you set the app/doors up on another phone/app.

No app support
No app support. My app is still in my App Store but has disappeared off my home screen and I can’t work out how to get it back so I have to open it in the App Store every time I open my garage

Wrong app for Gateway dongle
Look out as there are more than one app. This is not the app to use with the older gateway dongles.
Needs Apple HomeKit support
This app desperately needs to HomeKit support to allow shortcut integration and other automartions. Especially now as it shows up in CarPlay in the use iOS26 Beta. Please please please add some sort of Shortcut or HomeKit support.
Simpel und effektiv, aber mit einer Einschränkung
Die App funktioniert zufriedenstellend und ist simpel aufgebaut. 4 Sterne gebe ich, weil man unter Carplay das iPhone erst entsperren muss, um das Tor direkt anzusprechen. Das ist leider sinnlos, gerade dafür ist Carplay doch konzipiert. Wenn das in irgendeinerweise angepasst werden kann, gebe ich gerne 5 Sterne

Great, but not perfect
The app works very well, my only criticism is with car play, as when you try to operate the garage door via car play, you are prompted to unlock your phone! This renders the car play feature utterly useless, as I have to get my phone out, confirm I’m not driving and then unlock it. I might as well just open the garage door directly on my mobile at this point.
Suddenly stopped working
Really useful app. It stopped working with an error ‘Your device does not support Bluetooth Low Energy’. Can’t see anyone else with this issue?
Watch app doesn’t work
Apple Watch app doesn’t work at all. Keys also are a pain to use. Completely useless.

Just needs a WiFi option and this would be first class

Takes your money and still doesn’t work
Firstly, allowing only one free user is a rip off when you’ve paid £6,000 for a door. I paid for one key so my wife could have it on her phone. Despite following all the instructions and online advice it never worked. No refund or support. Instructions are dire. They seem to think everyone has an engineering Phd!
Bluesec app
Great app, i own a motorcycle & my parents us the fob, for me the app is super convenient as i use maps on my phone, my only complaint is i use CarPlay on the bike & would love to see support for it in the future
The range is disgustingly short
I have installed the app and added my new door but I can hardly use the app remotely. Once I am more than 5 feet from the door, the app ceases to work and only shows that it’s out of range. With the app you should be able to operate the door even remotely just as you can use the car apps. Because of the extremely short range this app is practically useless!

What a great app, scanned the barcode on the door motor and within seconds everything works from my phone. Couldn’t be easier to use.

Having worked for a few months the app now just opens at a page called ‘teach in’? and says no devices registered. When I scan the QR as requested on the operator unit it says it requires a reset on program 19? No customer support except an email address.
A little clunky
The app is a little clunky but works. I don’t know what “Impulse” seems to do other than stop me opening and closing the door when I press these buttons. If I leave the app open on my phone the app begins to worry and messages me about my Wi-fi connection. I have accidentally opened the garage door having left the app running! Update: I wrote the above in 2021, I think. I actually uninstalled the original app as it disconnected from my garage door and didn’t want to work at all. However, with summer coming on, and my needing to use my bike a lot more, I re-installed it. The updated version is trimmed down and only offers “Impulse” which either opens or closes the door. This seems to work. Impulse also halts door movement and reverses it if you press it a third time. I’ve not seen the same amount of confusion on my phone, if I leave the app running when I’m upstairs in my house. I do, now, have to be a lot closer to my garage door to set the opener to action. I have had a few system errors and had to try gain, while running the app but I would say that it is improved and over all find it convenient compared with carrying around the garage electronic key.

Clumsy app
Quite fiddly to use with small buttons for easy use in a rush. Also the Apple Watch app doesn’t open but crashes on launch.

Control unit failed during first year. New unit fitted very promptly by installer Richard Churchill, excellent customer service.
Very hard and no signal lots of times
Created an account, added a key and every time I closed the app I had to log in again. Waiting outside the garage door for ages for it to say no signal. Now it’s saying I have to do a full factory reset of the unit which took ages to set up the door and keys and app. Not happy this should be straight forward. Also £8.99 for additional users.
CarPlay Support
Almost the perfect app. Works really well and reliably, allowing you to carry out various functions with your garage door. Would be the perfect app if it worked with Apple CarPlay such that you can operate your door via the CarPlay screen when getting/leaving home, without having to pick up your phone. Please add this in a future version!!
App not working
Hello App was working fine albeit a little delay when pressing the button to open. Now the app has locked me out and. Asking me to a factory reset. I have now registered but the QR code just won’t register. I went with Hormann thinking everything would be smooth but this is extra headache we don’t need. Just simply tell me what we need to do please. Thanks

This would be a great feature to the app if you could have an app on Apple CarPlay. No need to get keys or phone out, just open the app on the car. Easy.
