I really want to use Cake Wallet because it is open source and supports Monero, but as a completely blind iPhone user, I simply can’t use it independently. VoiceOver accessibility is not where it needs to be. Many buttons are unlabeled or are announced simply as “Button,” making it impossible to know what they do. Navigation is inconsistent, focus sometimes jumps unpredictably, and some controls cannot be accessed or understood with VoiceOver at all. Tasks that should be straightforward, such as creating a wallet, sending funds, receiving funds, or navigating settings, become frustrating or impossible without sighted assistance. This is especially disappointing because a cryptocurrency wallet should allow users to maintain their independence and privacy. Blind users should not have to rely on another person just to manage their own money. I hope the developers prioritize accessibility by properly labeling controls, improving VoiceOver navigation, and testing the app with real blind users. Cake Wallet has the potential to be an excellent wallet for everyone, but until accessibility is taken seriously, I cannot recommend it to other VoiceOver users.

This wallet is great but I wish the ETH wallet supported multiple addresses like the rest of the crypto's on cake wallet can do. I know it's possible because other EVM wallets (kraken, brave, and OKX wallets for example) support multiple Ethereum addresses under one wallet. Adding that feature would make this thing perfect!
Update seems to have made the app worse
Most gift card options are gone now in cake pay, things like stores, amazon, etc are all gone. Theres basically nothing left. That was the main reason i wanted to use cake wallet over others…..
well, it’s a solution
It does what it does well enough. But there are little bugs and quirks about it that drive me crazy. For example, if you have two wallets and you want to copy your xmr address down for a swap, it won’t go back to the xmr wallet. I had to restart the app.
Grassroots Adoption
One of the best (if not the best) wallets for grassroots adoption of crypto as peer to peer cash. Yes that was the original point of Bitcoin not digital gold. Anyway Monero is better than Bitcoin now LOL. Getmonero.org I am not sponsored.
Unusable. Constantly “synchronizing “ for hours on end.
Every time I try to send money, the app says it is synchronizing. Support is of no help. Thus far, I have hard stopped the app multiple times. Still been syncing for hours. Going to move to another, more stable, wallet.

Update broke the exchange feature
I get to the last step and hit the Submit button and then the screen freezes up and nothing pops up.
Was perfect
Used this for years no issues. Now all of a sudden it updates UI and I’m really disappointed, there is literally nothing that says your chosen wallet is online or synced. On all mine, it has a yellow dot whilst loading, then the logo goes grey and looks disconnected. Can there not be a green dot whilst connected? I spent hours today thinking my wallets were not connecting and trying to trouble shoot it with support. FYI though support within the app is brilliant. Happy to change my review to 5 stars when I can clearly see my wallets are fully online, connected and synced. I don’t like to send money if it’s not as I’ve been burned with that before so I always have to check.
Amazing App, Amazing Customer Support
Let’s set aside how great & convenient the app itself is for a moment (it is both and excels in basically all ways) The customer support offered by an app-based non-custodial crypto wallet is unparalleled. Every single time I have contacted support I have received replies promptly (in some cases immediately) and they have been exceedingly helpful and professional. Great people, who actually care and who do whatever they can to address your issues as promptly as possible. There’s much more I could say, but for now I’ll just say thank you Cake Wallet & S/o to MoneroBull! <3
Do not trust this wallet!
This app has been extremely glitchy and disorganized. I had an old wallet that was lost, and there is no way to recover it without the seed phrase. The issue is that, even after double-checking that I was sending funds to my current wallet, transactions kept ending up in the old wallet instead. After losing money, I tried testing it again with the lowest possible purchase amount to make sure it was not user error, and it still went to the old wallet. That makes it very difficult to trust the app. Look elsewhere for your crypto purchases

I love Cake, but the dEuro savings coin that is a feature in app is impossible to swap for anything else. No providers can/will fulfill the trade regardless of settings. I’ve lost a lot of respect for this wallet if they natively support a staking program that you cannot withdraw funds from. I contacted support they said there’s nothing they can do. Where is the integrity in this, did yall get paid to host dEuro on cake or something? I highly advise anyone who uses this app to stay far away from dEuro and maybe consider another wallet. This experience really has stained my impression of this app, the devs should not be encouraging users to throw their money on a coin that can’t be exchanged for anything. I’ve just written off it as money in the trash at this point. Considering switching wallets. I’d love it if support could reach out to me and remedy this issue I’ll update the review.
No German Language and EURO as currency
I use the app on both my iPhone and my MacBook. Unfortunately, I noticed that the Mac version doesn't offer German as a language or Euro as the currency, while the iPhone version does. It would be great if the macOS team could add these features. I'd happily give 5 stars once that's supported!
Fix fiat
Hi. App is not displaying a fiat amount. And this is preventing transfers as does not convert to crypto equivalent.
Dont enable 2fa you wont find 8 digits code
I haven’t been stuck with my cake wallet for this reason I use micosoft authenticator it only shows me 6 digits

Too many changes, unstable
The app keeps changing all the time, UI and background code keeps updating which adds security risk; either there might be already or will get vulnerabilities in these updates.
Endless syncing issues
Forced to use a iOS wallet since my laptop broke, cake is known as the best but my first sync took 4 hours and it doesn't sync in the background even when you set it to hard background sync, I've been unable to get it to sync again and if you leave the nodes page you Lose all connection, very frustrating.

The BEST Crypto App!
This app has been my main app for crypto wallet use, exchange, and even purchase/sale. It is secure, easy to use, and stable. One of the main incentives for security driven users is the support for XMR (Monero). Also, it supports silent payments for Bitcoin, which is supposedly the most secure way to send and receive it. I highly recommend this app as the main choice for crypto geeks.
App has been broken since this last major update.
Can no longer receive or send crypto. My transaction history is half missing with only the dates present with bitcoin, bitcoin lightning, and xmr. Depositing my Bitcoin to lightning resulted in the loss of all of that Bitcoin even though I see it's now on 64 confirmations. They updated just today 3/17 and it's still broken. If you are on the last major version of this app DO NOT UPDATE.
Randomly resyncs all over again
I like cake wallet, it does what you need. The only thing is, it randomly decides it’s forgotten all blocks - which of course haven’t changed so why? Then you have to keep your phone active and in the app for an hour or two before it gets everything again. I see others have this problem too, if it can’t be rectified, could we have a news tab or something we can read when this happens instead of staring at a reallllly slow resync countdown?

Randomly resyncs from scratch
One of my favourite wallets, if it had tomochain and pirate chain would be even better. but on iPhone every few week it will randomly make me re-sync all 2million+ blocks, meaning I have to stare at my screen for at least a few hours because it also does not seem to sync in the background.

Slick wallet but exchange not working for me
Slick wallet but exchange to ETH not working for me, always gets stuck at “creating transaction”.
Simple but sometimes not functional
Easy to navigate app and looks nice, but when trying to send XMR to an address I can’t seem to type it in, I can only paste it - for example the XMR or USD value.
