Enjoyable, but not over-purchasing Twin requirement units is an absolute crapshoot, even with the @ function. There must be a way to purchase the right amount without guesswork, surely? Frustratingly average, as is.
Amazing, but just 1 thing I want changed. 4.95 stars.
This game is a masterpiece. Each tab builds upon the ones before it, and every resource helps production of all other resources. The one thing I don’t like is the fact that when in an ad, things can still happen. This isn’t a problem really for gold bugs but so annoying for War Cry without Swarm Supporter and the double offline earnings when you have an ongoing invasion. But still no new content? After all 10 mutations are unlocked, it’s kinda just like swarmwarp- invasion- hatcheries- expansions- meat units- repeat. One way to do this is to add more gold bug upgrades. And I still don’t know the objective of the game

Ok idk how the game is, I’m giving it a 1 star because I can’t view the stuff I need to accept to play it’s telling me to update everything, everything’s updated! And it also keeps loading webpages in the background without my knowledge( I found out when I closed the game to restart it to try to play, my web security settings were saying that I’m trying to ask permissions too fast on unknown websites. Um like wtf! That’s not cool! I would do no stars but I can’t. Be careful ppl!
Battery drain
I truly love this game. Been playing for awhile now and wondering if there’s any options outside of the basic settings to alleviate battery drain. For a fairly simple click and numbers app game it’s mad draining

Poor performance
Game is constantly stuttering on new iPad Air, even with all the graphics options turned off.
Game won’t start half of the time
This game is very fun, but I have one complaint; almost every time I start the game, it always gets stuck on “checking game version”, and since the last patch what a year ago I’m assuming the dev(s) left this game, but I am also on the most recent version (1.7.12) Whenever it won’t work I have to open it from the App Store, which has seemed to work so far
Very weird port
I love the web version but this tries too hard to be friendly to the point of irritation. Unless I’m doing something wrong the tutorial is mandatory and you have to go through it any time you reset your game?

This mobile version has a bad UI, p2w inserted in, and alot of features butchered. Just play it on kongregate

Great but needs more bugs
Update broke game
A longtime favorite of mine...until this latest update broke the game. It will no longer advance past the loading screen when opened. I was approaching endgame, closing in on the first of the final unit and I certainly won’t start over. Low rating for the game breaking and also because the App Support leads to an empty website with nothing but a crappy logo and links that lead nowhere.
Why?
Game was great, but is now unplayable on my iPhone X, can’t buy any troops hatcheries or anything

My only complaint is when activating the war call after watching an ad the game plays in the background and makes it counter intuitive due to the things spawning and not being able to get to them

Make the wars better
I like the style for the challenges but I really want another version of the challenges where you have to select a formation of your troops (or make a formation) then when you select that formation your troops go to battle and you can use special abilities or when you are low on your troops you can call in reinforcements.

The looks make the game
I love Swarmsim. It’s my favourite incremental game. Its smooth progression, abilities, and ascension gameplay choices are fantastic. This is not the Swarmsim I fell in love with. It has these strange cartoonish graphics and a too-big obnoxious UI. I miss the original’s look. It was clinical. It was like being an overlord of an unknowable swarm, whose size could only be quantified by numbers and bars. Now, I get to ‘see’ them, but it really takes away from the feel of a killer alien insect swarm. They look like kid’s toys! TL;DR graphics on incremental games are stupid and pointless.
Swarm lords War cry
After watching the Ad to start the war cry you will be unable to close the ads fast enough before your entire war cry is wasted. Needs a timer after the ad or allow the player to start the attack.
Broken
I cant even open the game. Everything else works on my phone. I even tried using WiFi no wifi a VPN and every time I open the game it freezes and doesn’t open. It is a broken game.
Enemies
Add enemies and this game would be five stars maybe swarm lord challenges are where you get to fight but I haven’t made it there. The whole game seems to be about being patient and expanding but that’s not really challenging.
Good potential ruined
The game has incredible balancing in its incremental progress. However, a huge chunk of the game is the ascension system. The ascension is really fun and allows you to discern yourself from other players by allowing you to make your own builds. However, as a new player, you must be ready to invest several days if not weeks in order to ascend FOR THE FIRST TIME. You unlock the ability to ascend after reaching a certain milestone. In order to ascend you need to use abilities 100 times. This is incredibly grindy and lengthy process. Even after upgrading the rate at which you achieve energy (which you need to spend energy to upgrade instead of using it for abilities), it’ll still take around 72 hours MINIMUM in order to use abilities 100 times. I don’t see the point in locking a huge chunk of the game (and arguably the most fun part of the game) behind a massive grind wall. Many new players will drop this game before even making it to their first ascension, since it takes such a long time. Which is sad, because beside the ascension system, the game has a really satisfying balancing.
Battery drainer.
It’s a great game which I love, but it drains your battery. I went down about 1% a minute. It’s scary how fast it goes.

Everything about it is broken
The game is completely broken. I’ve played a few minutes of the Steam version, so I know how the game is supposed to function when working correctly. Every creature and upgrade in the game, no matter what it is, is displayed as costing 5611 larvae and one drone. The upgrade button still works, but it’s kinda hard to play when you don’t know what anything costs. The game says I should be gaining one larvae per second, when I’m actually gaining hundreds, but only when I have larvae selected. Otherwise, the larvae count remains frozen. I’m pretty sure this isn’t right. Attempting to select the territory, energy, or any tab I haven’t unlocked yet will display a full-screen message telling you what you need to unlock it. The problem is, I can’t seem to close this screen, effectively locking me out of the game until I restart the app. None of the visual creatures are displayed, I’m stuck looking at meat the whole time. Achievements seem to be non-functional I don’t know if a recent update broke everything or something, but the game is completely unplayable for me.
Tutorial
This incremental game is pretty cool, and I’m enjoying so far, only problem is that there should be a way to disable the tutorial or something, as I don’t really like being forced to press stuff I don’t want to buy.
Way too slow
The general concept for the game is good and it could be a good game but it’s just way too slow, Even after resetting you don’t get to see what each of the upgrades with currency do until after you get it, and when unlocking each one costs 1 then costs 1 million (not even an exaggeration) it’s just bad design. It would be better if the game wasn’t just ridiculously slow. Also getting to the reset point is just tedious and waiting which I get it’s an idle game but there is a difference between idling and just not progressing
Annoying gold bug
Game is great if not for the gold bug in which 99% of the time you have to watch an ad. For this type of game, Egg Inc is still way better as watching ads is not that annoying. Lessen the ad watching on gold bugs then maybe the game gets better.
A gem of an idle game
It's unfortunate that this game hasn't received updates for a couple years as of this writing, but it's still a solid idle game. I enjoy the carapace shards mechanic and invasions, compared to the web version. Overall just a well-rounded game. Would be nice if it had some updates to add more content though.
Just downloaded and next to nothing seems to work
This seems like an interesting game but the UI dosent respond to anything. I reinstalled and still nothing.

Latest update
So I've loved this game and have never had any issues with it. That is until the latest update. I'm now suffering from the bug that the update was meant to "fix". Dev's can you roll the update back or redo it and actually fix the hug Cheers.
Glitches
The game is super fun but in a day or so when I got back from idling there’s this pop up about like the golden bugs that won’t go away no matter how much I refresh the game. Now I’m thinking to delete and reinstall the game but does this Derek’s my progress?
This is one of the best mobile games out there!!!!
Here are some reasons why: 1. No ads everywhere unless you want a reward you have the option to watch an ad. 2. The game is surprisingly addictive, and entertaining. 3. YOU WILL WANT TO UNLOCK THE SWARM LORD CHALLENGES THEY ARE FUN 4. Once you restart, don’t think it’ll take a while to regain your bugs. 5. It’s free 6. Just give it a try :)
