Yet another game that WILL lose your progress
Don't play it for a while and it will delete your progress. Change phones and it will delete your progress. Login with your account, and it won't remember your progress. Glad I didn't spend any money on it.
Was great, but now it crashes on startup (FIXED)
EDIT: Crash bug was fixed in a day or two, so I increased my rating to 4 stars. Comment about the slow progression still stands. The game was good, although some phases of the game get pretty slow. However, after the newest update, 1-2 seconds after the game finishes loading, it always crashes. I tried doing different things within that time, but it never saved and always crashed.
Good but huge flaw
the fast tap "anti-cheat" is a little too strong. I am unable to achieve the spiderhands secret and not matter how fast I tap, I cannot get oversurge. this hinders active play. outside of that, the balance feels old school in terms of pacing. this is a pre leviathan review.
Great incremental game
So I have never left a review on any mobile games. I do however leave reviews on steam and also have come to love idle/incremental games. And I have to say that this is one of the best ones I have played. This game is honestly so polished and doesn’t feel like a mobile game that I thought it might also be on steam, sadly it wasn’t but I’ll tell you that if it was I would buy it just to support the devs behind it. Man on steam with achievements that would be great. Slow burn great setting. And the secret offerings were also a nice surprise. Get this game and try it. It’s free and you have absolutely nothing to lose!!
Can’t even play
The game constistently crashes after opening. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling, I checked if it was a settings issue, I’ve tried starting an entirely new save file, it still doesn’t stop crashing in the first 5-10 seconds.
Great game but having an issue
This game is super fun to play and it’s something I look forward to playing everyday just to check on my stuff, but recently the game has a bug that kicks me out of the app after fully being in it for a few seconds
Crashs since last Update
Since yesterday the Crashs every time i try to start it.
Great game but
It got stuck.
Why I like this game
Humans like symbolism
Pire choix ever
Latest update crashes
Consistent 100% crash rate upon launch. Main screen draws, offline summary appears, clearing summary or not, game crashes.
Background ad revenue?
Decent game, but several times I’ve opened the app and found ad audio playing in the background. I get the suspicion that this game mines your background activity for ad revenue
Good start
A couple of graphical errors but otherwise it looks great and It's enticing enough to draw people in. I don't think the progression through initial summons is quite fast enough but maybe I'm just a bit impatient this week. I won't be finding out the hidden secrets of this game. Good luck!
A Lovecraftian Gem!
I have been playing this game for over a month now and I love it. It looks great and the progression feels good. You can play actively or passively and make good progress either way. The monetization feels fair and the devs are active and friendly. I recommend trying it.
Should’ve read the reviews.
The game is snail paced. Like very. Unless you buy inapp. Read the reviews and it all clicks now, dev slows down game to “rebalance” instead of adding new content. Wow please ignore any response from dev trying to wave off the criticisms everywhere. New update today, bonuses lowered even more lol. Do NOT get this game unless you plan of spending at least $50. Period. No exceptions. The game was designed to be ok, and then they added more and more barriers to make it “slower”, so you’re essentially playing a nerfed game unless you pay.
Good game but have some requests
Really like the game but I would ask for a few small things. I would love for the Darklight Torches color selection to stay after changing timeline and/or universe, as I do prefer the default fire color. I would also appreciate more consistent notifications for the Occult Shrine, as well as notifications for the Shining Trapezohedron when it is full.
Starts good but… still meh
Update 1: I still play this game every day, but for only a few minutes and the active tapping to blood drop rate is still bonkers. Am I really supposed to tap for hours when tapping produces so few souls it’s not even perceivable compared to idle? The Halloween event is weird; the “reward” for hours of focused tapping amounts to less than two dollars worth of blood. Why bother? The motivation of the devs for this game’s direction is baffling. Original Review: While this game is very good for what it is, ultimately it is not worth your time or money. In 2023 my most played iOS game was “Grimoire”, an incremental idle clicker type game. I loved it but its text only so I looked for an alternative. This game showed up in the AppStore and the mechanics are very similar. Also I’m a sucker for Lovecraft so it was an instant download. After a few days I was hooked so I spent more than $60 to unlock various items as I thought this would be another game I would play every day for a year. But now just a few weeks later I’m to the point where progress is so slow without spending a lot more money that it’s just not worth it anymore. “Grimoire” was $5 and is much more playable as you will never be “stuck” behind a progress wall. You will never get past E42 unless you spend more than $100. It doesn’t matter if you “let the game run” idle for a week, you won’t get past this point, because this is where you will no longer be earning game currency for reaching milestones. $60 should be enough to enjoy an idle game for more than a few weeks. Maybe I’ll come back after a few updates, hopefully devs will make some decisions to keep paying players more interested. UPDATE: I did finally get to E45 but it still takes a week to get there. Another observation is that tapping becomes entirely useless as it’s effectiveness is orders of magnitude lower than just the simple idle mechanic. I tested this just now by reading a page from the book, getting my Madness to level 4, and using the artifact which quadruples Madness stack effectiveness on tap income… there is no perceivable difference to my steady idle income when when tapping as fast as I can. When you get to the mid-game you will never have enough blood points to buy artifacts so you will have to wait for the free one every other day. If you get the “Makes Madness 4x better” item it basically does nothing. Since tapping becomes useless pretty quick I would suggest increasing the “free blood points on tapping” rate when using the paid for item which unlocks this ability. It’s just not worth tapping for hours a day when it does NOTHING to increase souls collection, just to maybe get a few blood drops. Please devs, make this game I have spent a lot on fun to actually play.
Whys it require internet
Don’t get why this game needs internet or signal to be played
Feelin Good
The way I am convinced this game is going to take me and soak my soul and spit me back out oily and blackened; the feeling is serene and peaceful
Bad
Garbage
Great Game
This game is a lot of fun, it keeps you engaged and coming back to upgrade everything. My only real gripe is I wish there could be some sort of representation of the minions you are summoning. Maybe this comes in later, but I’ve only really seen some crows show up. I’d like if there was a potential way to see your minions gathering.
Takes too long
It takes an absurd amount of time to get functional in this game and there’s days to weeks of dead time before you even begin unlocking other features, with nothing to do in the interim except check on the game occasionally. The gaps in this game are just too big to ignore and I don’t recommend it for anyone looking for an idle game until they release faster progress updates for early game.
No Offline
Good but I have to delete
Bugs from last update fixed
The game is now playable again, and I do not have to mourn my four years of progress 👍 hopefully the world does not actually end any time soon because I would like to continue playing this game. It is good.
Kinda a lie
The pictures don’t really add up with the game. I was expecting to see monsters and minions walk around when you summon them. Not stare at a statue and the have a tiny bird caw and fly away. Plus the goals are insane, use 9 scrolls for the first quest, then 63 the next time? Na.
Audio is not working
I enjoy the game and I play it to help wind down and go to sleep, the ambiance and sounds add to that. I know it isn’t a huge thing but I would just like to know how to make the audio work again.
Keep my sound settings active after ads
I enjoy the app well enough. however, in the last few day, after an ad plays, the in app sounds go back to full. This is a problem, because the app’s audio is twice as loud as any podcast or music. I will return to update if this gets fixed
Enjoyable but Buggy | Updated
I enjoy playing these Idle / Clicker games. I am currently enjoying this one to an extent. I would say the biggest single aspect of this particular idle game is the Astral point system. This should be the primary boost / power upgrade that all idle game players are used to. This is your reset all progress to to get xx% more power. This game breaks that functionality behind having to use your souls to unlock a fraction of this power up through your next cycle. I have 14 Astral power (140% boost) but I have to buy upgrades at 10% increment to unlock this power I have accumulated. I am only so far as to be able to unlock 40% of my astral power (5.6 or 56% of my total earned 140%). As frustrating as this is at least it seems intentional. Then there are 2 definite bugs and 1 maybe bug. 1. The ad bonus for the bronze coins only work about 10% of the time., at least for me on the plateaued iPhone and patch. The ad will play and you can tell it is overlaid over the game instead of taking priority as you can hear the game music, sound effects, and vibrations for signal spawning during the ad. I don’t know if this why it causes the ad to not allow interactions or not, but the outcome is the same non the less. When the ad finishes I am unable to click the X and receive my ad bonus bronze coin of doubling passive income for 10 minutes. I am forced to hard close the app and restart it. At this point there is approximately a 10% chance I enter the game with the bronze coin actually in effect. UPDATED 2. Offline / Background passive income -IS- (not) generated if I merely have the game in the background. - I tested on Android and iOS. The difference is that iOS only pops up the notification of how much offline income you’ve made if the app is completely closed. If restoring from the background you catch a brief glimpse of your previous total before your offline income is quickly added in. - (If pushed to the background and you return to it an hour later you have not generated any offline income. I have to make sure the app is completely closed in order for it to generate any offline income while I am not actively playing.) 3. There seems to be bounds , intentional or not, where tapping is not recognized. This could be intentional and requires you to tap the statue and only the statue. Either way this limits when and where you can tap if you are attempting to have the purchase upgrades window open or enlarged and attempting to tap at the same time.
Good
Good game 👍🏻
Ruined Progression
It has been taking me a few days to a week to get to my next upgrade in the late game. This is pretty slow progress, but I didn’t really mind. It’s an idle game so a little waiting makes sense. However they just ruined the progression in this last update when they “rebalanced” progression. When I last looked at the upgrade costs 4 days ago, my next upgrade cost 10 billion ether. Today I went to get my next upgrade and it now costs 335 billion ether. That’s not rebalancing, that’s intentionally ruining any chance of progressing at a meaningful pace unless you spend close to $90 to buy an item that increases all soul gain by 5x. They just made it this game absolutely terrible. I had even been willing to spend a few bucks on the game to remove ads early on and thought about spending a little more to just help the devs out, but they just ruined any chance of me even playing their game any more. Don’t even bother downloading the game. Just play something else now.
Love this game!
I have this game on Android and have been playing since 2021 and I’ve had so much fun with this that I decided to play on my iPad and haven’t regretted my decision but I was hoping that progress from android could one day be put on iPad and have started the Halloween event and was wondering if the Ghost Sigils could be increased before the event ends
Awful prestige system
The game could be fun if they completely rework the prestige system. As it stands right now it’s completely broken and makes the game not really worth playing at all. The reason is that every time you prestige, you gain bonus leveling percentages (like any normal system) but the problem is that you have to unlock the percentages slowly over time. And when you restart you start at 0% no matter what your bonus is. So that means every single time you start at the same slow pace and have to slog through the beginning at a snails pace to unlock the prestige bonuses. EVERY. TIME. nobody has time for that.
LoveTaps
It’s…. Okay. I love the theme, the soundtrack is great but the actual playability is rough. 4/10 clicks don’t register on my phone and for a clicker game that’s pretty important.
Awesome
Please do more like this or make a sequel
Game Doesn’t work
Played the game all day. Woke up the next morning and the game had reset. If I’m going to waste time on a game I at least want it to save my progress.
Great idle gmae
AHHHHH
Stop reducing progress speed
Come on devs, you gotta stop lowering bonuses just because you think people are progressing too fast. It’s just lazy, instead of actually working to make the game better. “I’ll just slow them down to make the game take longer.”
5 Stars But…
Love the game, been playing nearly an entire year. One complaint, the delirium farming system needs a tracker to see how much delirium you have farmed for the next tier of unlocks in the Void. Having to keep track is kind of tedious. It’s not that big of a deal, but since the system was introduced I lost over 300k ether simply because the game failed to explain that some unlocks are gated behind delirium that has no tracking except in the Void, that you can’t access until you are ready to summon. Other than that, greatest idle game I’ve played.
Simple and satisfying
If you’re like me and have a need to always be fiddling with something this is a fun lovecraftian way to do that, I’d frequently take it out and tap while doing other things. While it is slow to start, if you place your perks right you’ll max out quickly. I unlocked all perks in 9 summons. Now I’m not sure what to do with myself since there’s no further perks.
Decent game, frustrating bugs
The gameplay itself is standard for a game of this genre and not particularly exciting. The bugs however completely ruin the experience. Will crash at seemingly random times and you will lose a ton of progress when reopening. Not worth wasting your time with
Crashes fixed
when i first got on the app store today it said open game so i did and it still said maintenance but 30 mins later it said update and i did and now it doesn’t crash, thank you to the team that works on this game for fixing the bugs and getting the game running again thank you
Early game issues
It’s a lot slower than most other incremental games, likely to boost microtransactions.
Slow, expensive and drains battery like crazy
This game has some interesting mechanics, however it is extremely slow and everything in the cash shop is way more expensive than compared to other idle games. But worst of all is the battery drain, even with my iphone plugged in this game drains battery faster than my phone can charge. My phone also get warmer than i ever experienced before. Even games like hearthstone or more complex 3d games dont do that. Either they must have coded the game really poorly or there is some sort of crypto miner running in the background. Either way they should really fix this.
