Easy to use expressive quality in Fold so desired trajectory... The necessary tools to realize categories easily built from a plain and right sercumcison and scribe of what is of worth in responsability to independance and value for self sustainability and independance.
Fold redesign
The new interface is terrible. The old UI when it was still fold worked so much better. This new version doesn’t allow for carryover of excess expenses or of excess budget. You can only make top ups or expenses on the front page not within each category like you could before which makes using the app clunky and slow. The only good part kept was the subcategories within the envelopes but even that is pay walled even though i spent money on the lifetime access in the past.
If it had the layout of mint/Truebill it would be on top!
This app is soooo aesthetically pleasing. Feels like a video game almost. The downside is that it doesn’t have a dashboard you should be able to open your app and see all the essential money related items as a snapshot. With this app you have to click between them. Now if you have a pretty simple financial life this could work well but man if it was laid out like true bill or kint the other apps would be in troubllleeeee! Kudos for the Design though. It makes you want to budget. So fun
Only good for no flexibility
I thought this was great when I first downloaded! I’m trying to figure out my monthly spending habits and keep better control by seeing where it is going vs. if I’m within my overall budget or not as I’m working to live severely below my means this year. HOWEVER, I cannot move money from one budget to another..that’s fine I guess. But what’s worse is I have $400 typically for grocery- I have a $280 gift card and want to change my February budget to $100 moving the other $300 to a trip and not to show as “grocery”. I can of course just make a “trip” transaction but it throws off the data. When I changed my amount to $100 it then left january in the negative and with rollover turned on became completely inaccurate! I’m also not able to open and see all categories of transactions at once anywhere without exporting so that is lame. If you don’t anticipate your budgets to change ever this is good. Or if you want to start it fresh every month without rollovers that would work too. Just upset I paid $$$$ for this and it is missing basic practical functions. 🥵
Great apps but there is missing
Great application but there is a missing for expense category like sub-categories and label I hope they will update this apps soon with that.

I really love this app it keep me balance and organize.
Terrible update
Under the fold app the budget tracker was great. After rebranding to Money Journal they completely botched and ruined the app. Absolutely hate it. Their FLEXIBLE expenses doesn’t allow you to rollover and it only allows monthly budget tracking (as opposed to including annual and weekly too). Meaning it’s useless for me as I need both Hate the upgrade. Will download a different one and hope I can get a refund on this.
Good overview so far
The app doesn’t seem bad to me but I’d like to be able to add and remove money in the cash flow section as ad hoc bill or simila. Aside from that I like the app :3
Want to Love
I want to love the app, its concept and design I know will be perfect to help me stay on budget but there are some things that arent making sense to me. Can I please have a one on one with one of the developers. It’ll be easier if I show you myself.
Can’t customize
This app would be great if I could actually pick the dates. For the one time budgets, you can’t choose a future start date. And for the repeating apps you can’t change the start date or the recycle date. I get paid every two weeks. And this app would be great but no matter when I start the budget, it renews on a preset schedule. So it renews on the Friday I don’t get paid. No matter when I set it up. There is no flexibility with this app. Ugh. I wanted to like it.
Great App
One suggestion that I have is if you can add widgets for the app on your home screen so you can see all your budgets and etc without actually having to go to the app
Misleading
Shows as free but after a few days it locks you out of features and accounts you created. Find a better app that’s not trying to mislead you with sneaky marketing tactics.
Helpful with our family budget
Overall solid app. The only issue is with the monthly rollover feature which keeps defaulting to “enabled”. Otherwise very happy.
Simple but lacking
I like the simplicity, but it needs the option to delete categories. I also think the idea of having so many categories for one wallet doesn’t help me budget. Maybe the option to allot a certain amount to each category would be helpful.
Good for weekly budgeting if you’re single
I wanted a simple weekly budgeting app that I could share with my husband. I thought this would work because you make an account but changes that he makes wouldn’t show up on my phone and vice versa even though we were logged into the same account. I even tried signing in and out on both our phones and the budget still didn’t update. It works well if you’re just trying to track your own budget but not to share.
Great App , just confused .
Great app, just a little confused on where I can find monthly subscription price , it only stated that the premium features will be available for 24- hours but never listed the price. That is very important I would like to know how much I’m paying .

Too expensive if it was free it would be great
Great except for one deal breaker
I really want to be able to use this app, but I can’t because I can’t select when I want the cycle to reset (for the repeating budget). I get paid every 2 weeks, but the fortnightly cycle resets on the week that I don’t get paid and I don’t see any option to change this. If I could match the cycle reset date to my pay day, this app would be perfect. This app is perfect for someone looking to track their weekly spending or setting up a monthly budget, but the biweekly cycle is flawed.
Simple, but missing key features
Such as deleting a category. Developer, this would be a simple fix— please let us delete categories!

I was looking for something that didn’t automatically get info from my banks. I like putting the information in manually. Also this does exactly what you want a budget app to do — show you where you stand with your budget. Simple and effective!

This used to be my favorite budgeting app, now it’s a different name is completely different. no notice or anything and now all my transactions are gone because I have to create a new account for this thing. Will have to look for a new app.
FRAUD
The fact that this is a budgeting app and you have to pay to use it is absolutely ridiculous, I get they have to make their money but to charge $45 for the app is absolutely outrageous.
Pretty Good App
This app is exactly what I’ve needed! The only thing missing for me (and my friend who I recommended the app to) is the ability to set up recurring payments. Hopefully that can be added in the next update!

Really nicely designed but…
This app is very nicely designed and I have to say the most interesting looking budget app I’ve seen, however I can’t give it 5 stars due to it marking things as paid that I haven’t paid yet. The whole point of a budgeting app is to help keep control of things and keep up with what’s coming in and going out. I’m paying for this app and at this rate I’m not going to renew my subscription, which stinks because so far I’m really enjoying this app otherwise. **Edit.** Same issues continued, I have since cancelled my subscription and deleting the app.

Great for college students
I am a college student— I work and save a large portion of my income during the summer, then transfer a certain amount out of my savings each week during the school year. Every other budget app I’ve tried relies on tracking bank transactions and doesn’t register transfers from savings as “income”, making them almost impossible for anyone without steady income to use. Having to manually log every transaction is a little less convenient, but it’s worth it to be able to quickly and easily check how much money I have left for the week. One feature I would love to see would be the ability to add recurring payments for bills and subscriptions. Right now, I calculate the monthly cost of all my bills and subscriptions, divide it by 4, and subtract that from my weekly budget— but that means I have to redo my entire budget every time that amount changes. Being able to add bills and subscriptions, as well as see upcoming payments, would be really useful.
It was better before the update
Now you can’t do anything, everything is premium. I’ll uninstall
Great app but there isn’t enough currency options
I would love to begin using the app with all of the amazing features, but unfortunately my country’s currency (Kuwait-Kuwaiti Dinar KWD) isn’t available so using the app will be kinda useless. I do hope that more currencies would added soon.
Almost perfect
Almost perfect!! Aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. But no ability to share a budget with a spouse. Still great though!
Not great
It took me over 2 weeks to get the new app to work. I had to remove it and download it again. Finally got to take a look at it and it’s majorly confusing now. It used to be a quick app where you could open it and log an expense to a category and done. I’m pretty savvy but this is way too confusing now. It was simple and easy to use before. This is unfortunate.
App suggestion
I wish I could see what I wrote down that I purchased as in the amount of past calculations to made sure my bank and what I have are up to date. Other than that I love it.
Amazing Customer Service!
This is my favorite app, or any system for that matter, of sorting out my monthly budgets and it doesn’t ask to connect with your bank account which is always a little suspect to me. Also, I had a glitch with my phone and I contacted the developer and they not only got back to me within a few hours, but also actually solved the issue! I’ve downloaded plenty of apps, and that has not been my experience in the past.
New Redesign destroys a once great app
The overhaul UI redesign of this app is utter GARBAGE. As a paying user from before, all the good qualities of the app, like simply spending tracking, and easy to use budget settings that let me customize as needed - all gone. All I wanted was an app that I could input my budget for the month, say “Food. Set a budget of $100 that would rollover, and every time I spent money on food ide just quickly hop on the app and press the subtract button and input the amount. When I was planning on going out, I could quickly check the app to see how much I had left to spend for the month. S I M P L E. Now, the app has like 5 different “budgets” making overall viability of your finances impossible, it highlights the amount of money spent (why do I care to see how much I’ve spent??) instead of how much I have LEFT (this is now a small greyed number) and I have to go through 2 different screens and forced to select a category from a list. It’s so unnecessarily complicated. CHERRY ON THE CAKE: ALL MY DATA AND SPENDING INFORMATION THAT WAS IN PROGRESS THIS MONTH IS GONE. The system said it migrated the data, but there’s random “rollover” charges from months ago, and spending on the monthly budget from months ago as well. The team took a flaming crap on this app. REFUND ALL OLD USERS.
Currency
I really love the simplicity of the app, however, I wish there was an option to change the currency. I live back and forth 2 countries so I’d like to keep track of both currencies.
