Works
Works. Public transit out here is meh at best but overall it’s a convenient way to get a ticket since a lot of the machines out here are down so you never know when you have to use it.
This cannot be the only option
I love public transport and the RTD system. It doesn’t let me pay for it. This app doesn’t work, and the machines outside my area straight up will not let you use your card, and then rejected my cash multiple times. Please. Fix both of these. Shouldn’t you make it easy to let people pay for your services? Last few times I’ve had to buy a ticket from employees and it pisses them off😭

FAULTY
Every now and then the ticket booth is down (cant purchase tickets, with cards or apple pay) need to update app more often

When I try to login on WiFi or cellular OR try to buy a ticket on cellular, I get an SDK_200 error

This app fails for most typical traveler needs, other than buying a ticket.
Never paid so much to go so slow
I love to take public transit when I travel, and 9/10 times it's a great experience but paying $10 one way from the airport left such a bad taste in my mouth I couldn't even enjoy taking the A train. Buses were great and the app worked well tho
Difficult
I read the reviews and went for it anyway to get my ticket ahead. It seemed like it took payment, but would not show up as an added card. Got an email saying it used my card, but never did the app say I had a ticket. Very frustrating!
Missing Widget
Typical. This app does what it is there for, but it is seriously missing the widget to access your mobile ticket or MyRide Barcode from the Today view. Also shortcuts are missing for 1 click access to your current leg data. I use Apple Maps as a substitute.

Yikes
App doesn’t let me login. I called the hotline and they weren’t sure how to fix it, they just reset my account. I tried to login again and received the same error message.

Needs to support apple watch for qr code or iphone wallet access for monthly passes.
Smooth and easy to use
App works great for purchasing tickets on the fly and presenting information. No issues as of yet, will update review if there are, if any.
Just look elsewhere
The app itself is meh at best. The app is essentially just full of links that send you to their webpage. The only real feature the app does it let you purchase tickets online, which isn’t that useful when you consider most RTD methods of transportation are highly unreliable. It kinda makes no sense to buy tickets for transportation that’s always out of schedule or out of service. It’s more expensive but please just stick with using Lyft or Uber. RTD is never going to fix any of its messes
Good app, one minor issue
The app works flawlessly for me, I use a stored card but appreciate the Apple Pay option. My one issue is that if you go to the Utilities section, say to look at potential service alerts, there's no way to get back to the home tab to buy tickets. So I force close the app and go from there. Seems like a 'home' icon would be fairly easy to add.
Impossible to update/change passwords
I downloaded the app, because i have an existing account and can’t remember my password, it forced me to leave the app, go to a different site, and then, when i return the app, i get nothing but errors codes. No matter how many times i reset the password or delete the app and start over. It’s been like this since at least February 2024.
Super fast to buy airport day pass
Took less than a minute to buy airport day pass using Apple Pay. Got into train under 5m. Ride super smooth. Plenty of room, often one person to a row. Entire ride under 40m.
Total App Fail
We were ready to buy tickets to the airport from Union Station. Total mess of a buying experience then at the very end it says you need some special RTD Ride-a-card to be able to buy tickets. So we’ll take Lyft instead.
Abysmal design and function
1) the location search is third rate, can search reliably on business names. Apple Maps and Lyft can do it, why can’t you? 2) having planned a route in the app, when I clicked to buy a ticket I was taken to the App Store to download the app *that I was already using*.
Only buy one ticket at a time in case your phone breaks.
IT DOES NOT SAVE YOUR TICKETS FROM DEVICE TO DEVICE.
Worked flawlessly
New to Denver. Downloaded the app, purchased a Day Pass, checked out using Apple Pay, went to the bus stop, activated my pass in the app, scanned my QR code on the bus, and got on. Pretty easy! I planned my route using Google Maps. Just make sure you can find the right bus stops.

Used to work, now it doesn’t. Lame.
Hasn’t been working for days
The app hasn’t been accepting any payment methods for days. While the actual RTD service has been helpful in issuing complementary tickets via email if you call them on the phone, it is incredibly frustrating and frankly ridiculous that a nationally used public transportation app hasn’t been working for three days. Get it together.
