Was great, now ruined
This app used to be very easy to navigate, it’s now impossible for me to book a swim session. Seems there was recently an update that changed the format. It shows all sports sessions at once and doesn’t let me filter to swimming only, there’s an option to but it doesn’t actually work. I have to log in onto the website in my laptop now each time just to book a swim session. As they say, if it’s not broke don’t fix it…
Meh
App is often slow, app really needs a “return to home” button as it is incredibly frustrating having to navigate “back, back, back, back” from booking screens etc to home
Poor in-app navigation
There’s a million steps to get from where you are to the check-in screen, which leads to actual real-life queuing as people try to get there as quickly as they can. One page says that cancelled bookings I non-refundable, but another tells me I have to cancel 1h before the start time to get a refund. Absolute mess.
Can’t add payment card to app over a year!
Since ending a membership subscription and going pay-as-you-go, I’ve not been able to pay via the app (add payment card) for a booked swimming slot. I’ve spoken to several people at the swimming pool and emailed, but the issue persists.. Also, the public swimming slots are fully booked two weeks in advance, yet when I go on the off-chance, hardly anyone is in the pool.
Broken app
Honestly really difficult to work with sometimes. Apart from being the only way to pay for memberships (not possible to acquire otherwise) there's an unbelievable amount for bugs and glitches for how much money gets funnelled into this. I tried to book a programme consultation, the fixed price wasn't much so I was happy to pay and proceeded to checkout, only to be met with something to the effect of 'The payment amount is not correct'. How am I supposed to change a fixed price to an ambiguous correct amount? 🤬🤬🤬 The website does provide an alternate way to pay for the booking, but it's not much better, I got an error trying to book this time reading 'You are not eligible to make this booking because you are not eligible'. If they provided error codes I'd at least be able to figure out what ultimate transgression I committed against them 😡
Clunky
Not quite as fluid as it could be. I’ve used this for booking swim sessions and have managed to do so, eventually. Annoying that I have to enter all of my payment and contact (except email) details for every single booking. It auto fills country as UK then discards it forcing me to scroll past every other country in the world in order to refill the field. Also, navigating from the fast bookings list takes you back to home, so have to re-enter password to get back to fast bookings. Various other similar niggles which don’t prevent the overall use of the app, which works as far as making bookings is concerned, just take some of the convenience away.
