Toronto Sun reviews
3.2 out of 5, based on 330 reviews.
What people like
- News articles are factual and clear
- Opinion pieces separate from news
- Articles are current and well written
What they complain about
- App crashes and freezes constantly
- New format is hard to use
- Too many ads interrupt reading
- Subscribers can't access their content
Disaster Update
After update, the app works terribly. Ads block menus. Some free, some pay articles. Absolutely disastrous. It was a great app. Can’t find the columnists now. Not worth any payment. I was a regular reader but not now.
I can't login with my Apple account
I've got a paid subscription for the year and now I can't access my account....
Problem with ads
Ads block the content, impossible to use the app.
New format
Totally dislike the new format
Recent Update
The recent update makes it impossible to read the what the highlight is without opening each item. Please fix as this is now useless.
Amazing
Great news articles
Slow and choppy
Too many adds and videos. Slow, choppy and frustrating as hell. Frustrating and useless now.
iPad update
Sun site calls for an iPad update then won't allow it. Turning into a version of the Toronto Telegram, old and unread.
Good articles
Articles are current and well written for the most part. The app itself needs a fix because the share function does not work
Excellent.
Simply excellent articles based on true news as opposed to fake media CBC, CTV
Constantly Freezes
It was bad enough when they got rid of the Sunshine Girl, but now this pos app always crashes my phone trying to load up 2-3 ads at once. Maybe focus on a user-friendly experience instead of ad revenue and you’ll get better reviews.
Sun Articles well written.. App now freezes.
The Sun has a conservative leaning but the articles can be counted on to provide facts and clarity. The opinion pieces are seperate from news items. Their App now performs poorly… locks up… it did work fine with my iPhone up until about 2 months ago. I will download it again in the near future to see if the bugs have been worked out.
Real news
I like the sun because they separate their news from opinion articles. They report facts not feelings. Keep up the good work.
Criminal business practices
I will never support these crooks ever again. Instead of charging reasonable subscription prices, they scam you. To hell with your jobs and local news.
Don’t like the dark mode headlines
Bad idea for dark mode. If you can’t read the headlines, what’s the point of having headlines! Please change it back.
I’m not happy
I am currently paying for a subscription and yet I am unable to access the app????
Freezes
Love reading the Sun but the app freezes up on my iPhone.
Used to be truly the best
Unable to view articles anymore. Only way to view is to be a subscriber. Deleted the app.
Subscribed but no access
I try to read stories and keep getting a message its “only for subscribers”. website works ok, just not this app.
Constantly Freezes
Like all Post Media apps this one is poorly designed and freezes my iPhone constantly. Deleted.
Old version was better
The previous version was much better, easier to navigate. Very frustrating to try to find what I’m looking for now unless it’s a “top story”…no thanks…
App is horrible
The new format is cumbersome and difficult to navigate if it remains like this subscription will be cancelled.
