variety covered in depth
Since more than an year now, Ken is the only goto place for indepth analysis of any business topic in India. The articles are researched well and most importantly the story telling and narrative is excellent. I eagerly wait for the First Principles on Sunday morning. The new 2 by 2 podcast dwells into stories relevant for India’s growth story. Overall a great companion for my morning coffee everyday.
Content is not insightful enough for justify the subscription fee
Content quality & journalism has very much degraded over the years. There’s no specific insight that one can derive from Ken articles - it’s more news reporting, and anything distinctive is copied from other platforms. Sad that they don’t process refunds because customers aren’t happy with the quality of output- sure, it will retain a one time subscription fee, but not encourage repeat returns.
Add voice to text option to articles to listen them then instead reading
You can find the headphones option like the one on Substack is really helpful It helps in decreasing the screen time as well
You became what you wanted to avoid
Hi guys, I wrote an email to you sometime ago saying: you're now publishing so many newsletters that it's becoming very hard to keep up. You started off with giving the most important story of the day. Perfect. But now, so many stories on the same day - like a news publication. I can't keep up with the news from you anymore. Please can you do some segmenting at least?
Listen to podcast in background
Why can I not listen to podcasts with the Ken app playing in the background without downloading ? I’m a paid subscriber , for example when I am driving, or just surfing on my couch while listening to a podcast, I should be able to do such a simple.

Option to save notes in the app
Hi, i really like Ken’s articles. Have one suggestion, if you can build an option to highlight and save portions from the article in the app like kindle app has. A single page with all the saved notes for would be beneficial. Currently app restricts copying contents to apple notes app, having feature to save notes in the ken app itself would be very helpful.
Why is an update required every other day??
It is super irritating to see an update ask pop up every second day. Why??
Newsletter section in app never loads
While I have no concerns with the quality of articles published, the app needs a bug fix on the newsletter section in the ios app for iPads as the section refuses to load. Happy to update rating if this is resolved
More than worth the subscription
Have been a subscriber since more than 2 years. Finding it worth the 15 20 minutes being spent on reading the content and also the money that I spend on the subscription. The variety and range of topics covered and the depth in which they are covered is more than adequate. Would highly recommend.

The app is crashing on iphone 17.
Well researched (wish they avoid their bias on some topics)
Recently became a subscriber and really loving it so far. Each article provides thought provoking insights. Things to improve: i chose this as I assumed it to be neutral as it doesn't cover politics. But recent articles covering paytm ipo over justifies its valuation since Vijay Shekhar is an investor in ken. More newsletters are also overwhelming and creating fomo.
Nice app but stop the nagging on notifications
I’m greeted by a request to enable notifications every time I open the app. I do not want to enable notifications so please remember my choice and stop nagging every time. I’ve reached out via the support channels and have had no luck in getting this changed.
Good research but topics now too niche
Have been a regular subscriber and big fan of their storytelling style. Clean, well researched and interesting storytelling that keeps you hooked. Also, on topics of wide enough base and relevance, including tech, healthcare and public policy debates Can’t help but feel the quality of narrative and basket of topics is not the same as before. Maybe due to a churn in the team or otherwise. Would love to see this revive !

Buggy for IOS 26
I switched to an Iphone 17 pro and ever since the app has been glitching. Clicking on Explore crashes the app. Most stories cannot be opened Says something went wrong
Need audio version
Great stories but I miss half of them due to paucity of time. It would be great to be able to hear them as audio stories on my way to work.
Very unstable
Great content. Though, the app is very unstable. It gets stuck while reading stories and doesn't scroll anymore
Best researched articles
Ken’s selection of topics and depth of research leaves your day of reading fulfilled. It is better than read of news.
Crashes crashes crashes
The app got an entire revamp on May 2024 and it has earned itself the award of Father of all crashes . Even support team is not helpful with any resolution. It’s been 2 weeks . It’s a money wasted on an app update engineered to crash after money grab .
Saved stories not showing up
Great app but minor issue: stories I save don’t show up in the Saved Stories section
Too lengthy
The articles in The Ken are just too lengthy. The Ken team should work on making the articles more crisp, short and easy to read. And the advertisement with “Gift a subscription” that you see every time Is just too annoying. Never take your subscribers for granted.

Great job with Ken guys, love reading Ken articles on iPad chrome. But I totally miss out other email subscriptions Pls park everything in 1 app, in same date section types , and adapt it for iPad
Search functionality
The writers at ken are great storytellers, turning the news into a captivating story. The app is well done! Just one feedback, could you please add a quick search function in the app to find relevant articles? Would really improve the experience.

Absolutely quality content and authors are super responsive in case of any questions, the only drawback however would be not enough monetary incentives for non-subscriber's
Messed up the app with the new update
The new update (May 2024) has really messed up the reading experience. The app has become quite cluttered hampering the reading. There used to be a neat red line under each story / newsletter that indicate if I have read it or not. Now that’s gone. The scrolling used to end with the story now it keeps on going. This is a classic example of why you should not change something when it doesn’t require change. Really sad this is being done by the Ken which writes so much on Product Strategy of companies.
Good app!
Loving the app so far! Wanted to share some feedback: I wish there was an option to zoom in on images, esp infographics with text - it gets a bit hard to read small font in the images. In addition, for link ref dialogue in articles to previous work from The Ken, an option to “save for later” along with “read more” would help as it then would not break the flow :)
Enjoy consuming Ken
Excellent coverage of interesting articles, the writing is easy to read, sometimes the proposed conclusions may be off- but usually not by much…. All in all enjoy Ken!

Unable to login and there is zero support from Ken.
Great content, need better app upgrades
Updated review - Still got great content. Really in sync with current events & new business frontiers. But the new updated app version does not have the highlight feature which was an essential as it helped to keep a list of all bullet points I felt was necessary to refer to the crux on the whole article. And also the app is unable to detect where I left reading the article and take me to the same paragraph again if I start reading the article again. That is an important feature which saves me the trouble of scrolling and trying to figure out where I left reading the article.
News as it should be
Sometimes wish the regular news could also be just like this. Relevant, informative, ad free, without political agenda driven nonsense.
Improve the reading experience
Pls improve the reading experience in the app. Take a cue from finshot or Imprint or Kindle.
