What people like
- Fun and helps you learn words
- Good mental challenge for word lovers
- Relaxing and light gameplay experience
What they complain about
- Ads block the game screen constantly
- App freezes and crashes often
- Too many annoying pop-up ads
Ads
Have played this game for years and have told others about it, but now ready to delete the whole game because this new bunch of ads that pop up cover half the game - then you have to wait for the ad to finish before you can see all the letters - extremely disappointed allowing these ads to cover the gamer you are playing - I ndersysnd you have to have ads - I get that , but not pop ups on half your game page - after all these years playing I’m really disappointed
Ads
The number of ads have increased with a vengeance! Ads are now automatically playing every 30 seconds during the middle of playing a game. Ads are not waiting until a game is finished nor does it matter if you do not touch an on screen ad!!! Ads are also frequently freezing endlessly, requiring me to close and reopen the game! This is so frustrating, to the point, if it’s not corrected, I will discontinue playing this game after being a player over the past 10+ years.
Enjoy but large ads are annoying
I have very much enjoyed this but the new large ads at the bottom block the letters and are annoying.
Ads Problem
Enjoyed the game until the pop-up ads started blocking my screen. Can’t even get a word done before the next ad comes up. It’s made it no fun anymore.
Add
Germany ads popping up at the bottom throughout the game. The ads that interrupt the game are not so annoying the ones from the bottom block the game.
Fun!
This game is fun!
Very poor
I initially enjoyed this app but it keeps getting worse. There’s a huge add that doesn’t allow me to see the letters while playing which makes it impossible to play. There’s also a maximum amount of points that you can win which I achieved long ago. There’s also words repeat, it’s just really bad.
Scammed
I love the game and play everyday i recently bought something from one of the adverts between games i think i have been scammed out of £36 it was for Amazon return pallets
Ads Are Bad
Love the game. The way the ads pop up all the time now is very annoying. Enough that I may stop playing.
Hijacking ads ruining a great game
I’m giving the game three stars which it barely deserves because it loves to hijack the game with ads. I started playing this game 2 1/2 years ago. I really like it. But I am sick and tired of the ads, hijacking and hijacking and hijacking. I’ve waited as long as 15 minutes. The most frustrating thing about it is the ad that likes to hold me up more than anything is about my dogs breath my dog died. I don’t own a dog now. And I certainly don’t want to look at ads for dogs or dog things now. I really hope that you can fix this so that I can give you the five stars the game deserves
Love the ads
No need to spend money to remove the ads. Those are some fun games to play and you can play them without downloading them.
Ridiculous!
While playing the game, the advertisements are CONSTANTLY partially covering the screen. It’s difficult to keep playing when half the screen is obscured. Ugh.
Too many poo up AA’s
Too many pop up ads
Too many ads
I really enjoy playing the game. I've been playing it for a very long time, but the more I play, the more I get pop-ups. There's one in the lower right that pops up with a very loud sound. Then most recently, one pops up on top of the letters so I can't play until it goes away. Once it goes away and I start playing, it pops up again within about 4 seconds. Very frustrating. I don't know whether to delete the app and reinstall or just play a different game.
Ads are way too long
Some ads run for 20-30 seconds and some you can’t even close out. It’s much faster just to close out the app and reopen.
I miss where you can choose what your level you want like you can go back to later levels
When do they have to change it? I'm so sad they did because I will join. You. Get to change the living levels. I'm so mad they got
Pop up ads
I have been playing this to over game 3000 but now I have ads popping up in the middle of the game requiring I pay for no ads. I am deleting this app today.
What’s going on
I enjoy playing this game daily despite the unbelievable amount of advertising. But for some reason it has totally stopped working for the last few days, what’s going on?
Daily rewards are not working?
Daily rewards
Levels
You need to fix the game, if you get to the gold level and then stop playing and go back to that level it will bring you back to the first level, the bronze level. I’m sure it’s just a glitch but it’s quite annoying
Good fun
Pretty good game. Not a lot of ads.
Minus 5
Stop with these stupid ads appearing in the middle of my page. Blocking the game. BS.
Fun but has bugs
Great game but often bugs when opening it! It freezes…
Too many ads
I played the game for a year or more and it was good. Then it updated or something now you get an annoying ad after every single game and no way to turn them off. About ready to delete it don’t phone.
Updating
Game is not updating as it should. Keeps taking me back to puzzles already completed. Very annoying!
Truly Enjoyable
Challenging
New update
Your idea to blast a huge advertisement box over the letters in the puzzles is annoying and the likely reason I’ll quit playing it. Do better
Too many ads
I was enjoying this word game then, after every round, you get adverts.. they may not last long but it is so very annoying, won’t be bothering any longer.
How?
How can you not allow SALE or SAIL In the crossword jam? Frustrating since these are common words.
Bukayo Saka’s review
It is an overall decent adds this app needs to have less ads promoted because at the moment every button you click it has to be an add the game itself is quite relaxing and helps you settle in your comfort zone.
GREAT GAME
Love this!!
Junk
I wouldn’t call this a game. It’s more of an advertisement platform. It used to be cool. But now it’s just ad after ad after ad. It’s basically unplayable anymore. Don’t waste your time on it.
Bon jeu
Le jeu est bien réalisé, mais il y a trop de publicités. C’est énervant.
Adverts ruin it
Latest update has added adverts when you are already in a game including when you are halfway through a word, so if your on a streak it can be broken by that, will be uninstalling the game as it already had too many adverts to begin with
Good stuff
Ok to be fair it is a great game it helps you learn words and just take your mind off of things I think you should definitely try it download and see for yourself I give it 5 stars it’s worth it
Don’t really wanna write this
I’m not writing something. I just want people to see more of you but it’s pretty good!
Oh gl gf
New ads cover gameplay. Don’t mind the ads between games but the ads during the game makes it all but impossible to play
Love this game
Word lovers will enjoy this game. Especially learning new words and their meaning.
Beware the Spelling
If this app is being used in the UK the spelling that appears to be used is English (US). That’s fine if the user is happy with the US version of English but for those who have been brought up with UK version it can be very trying
Scam ads spoil the game
So many scam ads for weightloss loss pills etc. Why would you allow this toxic manipulation of users, some of which will be children and vulnerable adults seemingly playing a “safe” game?
Witty Breeze
A breezy burst of clever fun, Crossword Jam turns wordplay into a happy mental dance. Light, lively, and just smug enough to make you feel brilliantly unstoppable.
Amazon
Too many boring Amazon ads
Crossword Jam
Love this game. Only reason rated it 4 instead of 5 is because Sometimes life gets in the way and I don’t finish the crossword. I wish developers would not cancel the one you haven’t completed. Also won’t give you any way to gain points by watching ads, etc. I refuse to pay because I paid for no ads and all of a sudden now gives me ads in spite of me paying for it.
Crossword Jam
Really enjoyed playing Crossword Jam+ but since I first played this option I’m only allowed to play one game in Crs WdJam+ once per day. Why? No reply from ‘Contact Us’! It’s a real Jam!! Not good & disappointing I would give Crswd Jam+ 5* May have uninstall this edition if that’s what it takes!!
Crossword Jam
Played for years now for 2 weeks it’s stuck frozen whatever you want to call it. It won’t move no matter what you press! It’s the 1st time it’s done this in all the years I’ve played it. Apart from the adds it’s a food game. Please owners get this fixed???
Challenging and Fun
Makes you think!
Fun, But…
The game was great until you’re past the high levels and then it’s just a lot of repetitive stuff. They’re slow to update and you lose your rewards you’ve spent time building. I’m not very interested in playing much any longer.
Profile name …
Good game, entertaining concept, but there are some things that need to be improved.First of all, I tried to write “square duck” for my profile, but it didn’t seem to know what letters were! So later that day, I wrote some random letters for it, and that seemed to work. But then, about a week later, I wanted to change my profile name to “BACON” and it worked for a few hours. But the next day,it was changed back to the random letters! I keep trying to fix it but it’s not working anymore.😭.now I can’t even tell my friends what my profile name is because I can’t remember the random letters! Please fix.the game is good though!!
Too many ads popping all the time mid game
Annoying
Different Levels
There is no Option to choose more difficult levels of play. Having to begin at the lowest (primary school) level and “work” your way up, takes all the fun and challenge away. I am going to delete the App
