Amazing!
This app is so helpful. I got cast in a play and the day before the performance I could not remember half of my lines. I was almost hopeless, but I found this app and it helped me so much and I remembered every single one of my lines. I recommend this to any actor. This app is amazing!
Don’t switch to a new device
When switching to a new device there is no way to keep all your recordings. I paid for a subscription and now everything is gone.
Almost perfect
I wish there was a setting where you could just play the other person’s lines and mute yours, like a scene partner!
It’s not great
Don’t get me wrong I absolutely loved it to start with as it really helped young actors like me memorise there lines but as soon as I got up to two recordings which were two minuets each it didn’t let me do anymore and said that I had to pay to do more recordings I found that thoroughly stupid as when I looked at it it said “a fun free way to memorise lines “ I would love this to be changed because it is really hard to memorise and it was a great idea until paying came in which I will refuse to do !
Quite good
So I wrote this a three star because I didn’t really like the app that much it didn’t really give me. It didn’t it wasn’t the thing that I was kind of looking for I was I wish that it was so you could just have a gap for your line instead of having to speed through with gaps because it says my line too quickly in that so if you the developers see this and I hope you couldn’t look at that and try and do something like that I don’t know but I think overall it was quite great. I had to end up deleting it because there was I didn’t have enough lines. I had too many lines in it and the eight recordings weren’t enough for me and I still haven’t found a good rehearsing app for it so if you could fix those three things, I would absolutely give it a

NOT GOOD
Cold Play is way better don’t waste your time downloading this app it doesn’t provide what’s needed for you to smoothly rehearse your lines NOT USER FRIENDLY. They just through something together to get money not thinking about the consumer.
Wow this is a game changer
At first, I wasn’t using this to learn my lines for the play. I’m currently in. It’s my first time in a play and once someone introduced me to this wow it’s amazing! I was a bit late doing it so I tried it the old-fashioned way, and wish I had done it this way from the beginning!

Useful app for drilling lines as I go on my runs - I would upgrade for more recordings but the app won’t let me, which is a shame!
Simple but Effective App!
This app is great for memorizing anything, it does have a subscription but it’s only a dollar! It’s a straight forward no B.S app for memorizing anything. Great app! Another thing is consistency, it stays on track with your speaking on the way, which is such a helpful feature.

A great tool, but missing one feature
I initially purchased the app as a one-time forever payment, and got notified yesterday that it’s now subscription based and I have to continuously pay for it. If that’s the case, I’d like to request a feature that the app has always been missing: normal speed with gaps. This would allow me to rehearse movement and blocking, which is difficult to do with the only current “with gaps” option, which is sped up too fast to incorporate movement. Thank you.
Timing off
Timing for pauses gets progressively more and more off. Tried resting and haven’t found a fix
Almost great
Very useful app and definitely the least buggy one out there for learning lines. But it’s just a couple settings short of being great and they’re both about playback: Firstly, you can play it back a number of ways but if you just want gaps for your lines (so it doesn’t repeat your line), you can only do it at a faster speed. Why can’t I do it at the same speed that I recorded? It seems bizarre to me to not have that option. Secondly, I mainly use this to learn for auditions and tapes so I’m always reading by myself, so it gets hard to distinguish between which is my character and others when I’m learning it. Whereas other apps (OffBook! e.g) offer a ‘cue my line’ option, where it will play a ding when it’s your line. I was halfway through a tape when I realised there was a line that I thought was mine, but I had learnt the start of the other character’s line. So unless they bring this option in, maybe consider getting another reader for any other characters. All in all it is good, but could be great.
The best way to run lines
This is the best way I’ve found to run lines. The app is easy to use and flexible. You can listen to the script in its entirety, get just the right pause for your lines, and go normal speed or fast.
Help!
To hear playback I had to record with earphones. Help and troubleshooting not great. With that said the app is great!
Great but I need a little help
I use this so many times but I record a 2 min one and then I try to play it and it’s gone. Like gone literally. And I made sure to save it and it wasn’t there. We might need a little bug update for this app. And coming from a little poor fam i was wondering if I could have a free subscription for a little? Thank you so much.
Not entirely satisfied
The app works sometimes however MOST times it plays the beginning of my line and then gaps, so I can hear the beginning which shouldn’t happen
Does its job
I loved using this app to help me with learning my lines. I’ve literally cut my learning time in half but lately it’s only playing half of the lines that I recorded and there’s no one to ask for help or fix the problem.
THIS GAME HELPED SO MUCH
So here I was in my bedroom trying to memorize my aditon lines for my audition tomorrow for a summer camp that my school was to called Alice in wonderland jr. and I was like come on u go the lead last year you can do it this year but I could not memorize the lines so I got on Google and asked it what apps I should try and I searched one up trued it then deleted it then I saw this one. And I love it I can hear myself then improve so can I hopefully get Alice so I would really recommend this app, to the creator thank you so much for making this app🙂

This was a really good app at first until it wouldn’t let me make anymore recordings unless i subscribed
A real asset!!
This app does everything it needs to do, and flawlessly. The help it gives me is priceless, but it’s so inexpensive. I can’t recommend it highly enough to any actor looking for an easy way to have help running lines any time, anywhere.
This isn’t the best app
I used to enjoy this app but the playback of your own lines and speed playback doesn’t work the way it used to. I’m going to try another line running app despite paying for this!

A reasonably priced excellently useful tool for learning lines. I'm a novice actor and it helps to listen to lines with the gaps to fill. The prompt options are great as you get the lines under your belt.
Rubbish game
This is rubbish because you only have 10 free recordings then you have to pay.
Edit
The ability to edit files on another device would be ideal. It lacks the ability to make any corrections on recorded files. But once you have satisfactory files made, the process of learning your cues, using this app, is extremely effective .
Missing a crucial option
Nice interface. Does everything you want in a simplified form EXCEPT there’s no option to play back the scene, with your lines removed, at normal speed - only as a speed run. I don’t get it. Why wouldn’t you have that option? Yes, a speed run is useful but so is working at the pace that you are likely to run it on stage - that way you can also practise gestures and stage business. Pity. Decent programme otherwise.
Has been great, but…
App started misbehaving. Showing half off the screen. I can’t get it to display properly and it’s not working. Very frustrated.

Lots of bugs
And why is the run limes with gap pnly available in fast forward! It defeats the purpose of being able to run the lines on your own pace when you dont have a reader! Its so lame
Good but fast
Out of all the apps I’ve tried I liked this one the best. Easiest to used. The only thing is that it’s too fast. As someone who struggles with going too fast anyway the added pressure of saying your line within the given space is hard enough. So when I go to rehearse with real people I say it fast as I’ve been practicing. Then I mess up the line any way. I don’t mind if you speed up the other peoples lines but my line isn’t getting shorter I need the full 30 sec to say it not 15. If there’s a feature where it goes all the way through but doesn’t speed up I’d love it.

Very helpful App!
Amateur actor here getting ready for a large part in an upcoming community theater play. Run Lines has been very very helpful to me in both memorizing my lines and then finding the right emotional temperature to deliver the performance. And then as I get better, I replace the earlier recording with the new improved versions. Sometime the app glitches but shutting it down and reopening it makes everything all right. One wish I have is that they add a video component to complement the audio recordings. As I get closer to the performance date, I’m putting everything on video because there’s usually a big gap between how I imagine I’m performing and what’s really coming across. So it would be great if I could organize video performances in this app in the same way that I can organize and replace the audio segments.
Not too bad not perfect either
It doesn’t exactly help u learn lines it just makes u record the script and then hear ur self speaking I thought it would not say your lines and just say the Line before ur line its alright this just doesn’t help me very much
So easy to use
I didn’t really know what to expect, but it is so easy to set up and use. It’s really been helping with a play I’m currently rehearsing for.
Needed this app and another one to help with my play
I love this app, but I was hoping it would help me memorize my lines, which is something that I have trouble with, but sadly it’s just good for running lines. I had to get a whole Nother app just to help me memorize my lines, but if running lines is what you need, I would definitely recommend this app!
