Great App!
This app is a big time saver. I can pay my bill and see my usage with in seconds. The ability to report outages and see updates is a huge plus!
Horrible
App randomly forgets passwords and username. Sometimes stops working for no apparent reason even after restarting phone
Session Expired
Normally a decent app but it’s broken since the latest update. Session says it expired and just a login loop.
Unable to log in
Can you take a look? I was unable to log in for the past week and could not review or pay the bill.
Updated, now it’s not working
I can’t get into my account after this last update. It’s saying it’s sending a reset option to my email but I am not receiving any email from AEP to reset. Please help

Hello, I’ve used my AEP app for quite awhile now, it’s always worked great, so convenient! The last couple months it will randomly not remember me, no matter how many things I’ve tried it still brings up the message that it can’t login me until I change settings? This makes no sense as it is set just as it’s always been. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix it? Thanks!
Good Company
If this app didn’t have consistent updates that require you to update to use the app then I would give it five stars otherwise it’s annoying to keep updating something when there’s nothing wrong with it. They say it’s updated for security and they fix bugs but again there’s nothing wrong with the app and who in the hell is accessing our AEP accounts without paying the bill.
Monthly password reset
Annoying. Every single month have to reset password. Ludicrous
Cannot make payment
If you’re supposed to be able to make payments using this app, I don’t see Wear or Howell. You can view your bill, see how much you owe, but you cannot make a payment, it shows you all the payment options, it even makes you think that you can add payment information to make a payment, but you can do none of these things on this app, that is why I gave it to stars. Please fix If you guys can fix these things, the app will get a higher rating for a lot of people. Columbia Gas, you can view your bill there and pay your payment on the application. You cannot do these things for American electric power. The electric company needs to do better. Put some effort into this application.
Bugs fixed?
I’ve been using this app for years & have loved it! Suddenly, it won’t process my payments. I called customer service & they said I could make the payment over the phone, which I declined to avoid the processing fee. The customer service representative told me it should be fixed after 5 that day. This is month 3 & it still hasn’t been resolved so I guess I’ll do it over the phone before I get disconnected. (I have also checked for possible updates but their aren’t any)
Terrible Bugs
Trying to compare bills results in a Session Expired error every time. Login multiple times and it errors out. No ability to compare bills. So many bugs.

They system is done all of a sudden when I try to pay my bill, and the customer service is terrible, never lets me done more than 3 transactions in a month

Ever since the last update I have to change my password every time I open my account. Such a horrible service.
Scheduled Payment
Would be nice on the home page if you have already scheduled a payment that it shows you that information and if need be can edit the payment.

App is hit or miss when you login with either facial recognition or just your login/password. Please fix so people can actually use it
Crooks
They not only like to hike the rates every chance they get after bribing the Public Utilities Commission Ohio but they like to force you to get updates all the time and locking you out of your account because they have an app update they don’t alert you about. For all the money you profit off of us citizens, fix your app.
Can’t even log in most of the time.
That’s it. The app may be great but most of the time it just errors out logging in. Not sure what the point is of an app you can’t use.
Stopped working during power outage, then ages for a review?!?!?
Right when it was needed the most (AEP has no idea where its product is not working) the app entirely stops working. It is as if they didn’t anticipate that lots of people would need to use it at once. Hours later I’m able to report the outage and this app interrupts everything by putting a nag screen over the top of everything. I’m sure it is all good they will ask for another rate increase to deal with having to read all these reviews.
App has Issues
I recently moved back to Columbus and was glad to know AEP was my provider. The app had been strong/useful in the past making my on the go life easier when it was time to pay my bill. However since downloading the app in September I have had nothing but issues with logging in/reminders resulting in a missed payment(because the reminder feature didn’t save via website, though all information was showing saved as recently as 3-5 days ago). Whenever I try to log onto the app is doesn’t recognize me...which also happens to be true with the website currently. I have tried re-downloading the app several times as well as typing credentials in one keystroke at a time to insure accuracy...the app is a bust but the website will sometimes log me in.

price will double every month and becomes ridiculously priced.
Fix the Darn App
I don’t even need to state the issue. There are plenty of reviews saying the same thing. It’s been almost a year of the app being unusable because none of AEP’s customers can get past the login screen. I have to use the website to pay my bill, when the reason I downloaded the app was to AVOID the website process. No excuse, fix this app before it becomes a scathing article.
