Great news station
Storm coverage???
Unreal, no mention of outages or any bad weather in a timely manner. Thought these guys were the best but then looked elsewhere and wow, this whole time I thought you were the tops…. Wrong I was
Not a fan!
The latest update made articles harder to read, as the fonts are very tiny and each story is packed with ads ads ads and scam/ fake news stories. Took the local friendly feel away!
Inane AI Clickbait
I enjoy getting push notifications from a local news source but the awful clickbait with inane AI-generated images that appear below the articles makes me question the overall integrity of the journalism as well as the institution.
Attention to App Photo
It would be wonderful if you would routinely update your app cover photo along with the seasons. Every season and not just twice a year, which always occurs far later than the season’s onset. No one wants to look at snow and ice in June. Vermont is beautiful — there is no reason not to showcase each season.
Love to see my local news
I enjoy seeing the local news, National news and the weather in this app. Several times a day I review what’s posted. Would like that you would add the name of the news person. There is a lovely young black lady, who dresses and speaks beautifully, but the camera person often cuts her off mid sentence. Why? Is it to show prejudice? I find this VERY disrespectful. WCAX’s reputation is on the line. Management should address this matter seriously. It’s obvious.
Gene Birmingham
I find the ads on this app are incredibly disturbing and juvenile. I have been a WCAX supporter for many years, but can no longer support this website due to the shocking disrespect for the elderly and unwell. This organization needs to do better.
Slow/ Font to small
There are no options to increase the font.
Clickbait masquerading as news items
I appreciate many things about WCAX, but scrolling down for news stories is risky due to the number of and formatting of clickbait stories. I understand that advertising is necessary but couldn’t you give some indication about which stories are true news items? Thanks
Local News
This is by far the most reliable when it happens news source for local news. I love this app!!
Poor
Poor
Ads open on full volume while scrolling through articles
I don’t mind the new format but please stop the ads from opening and blaring when I am just trying to quietly read news. Only way to stop them is to close out the app.
New version not working
Freezes on start screen
Worthy
Just wish I could cast to my TV like other stations.
Intrusive, loud ads
Terrible! Too many ads but most intrusive is the very loud ads that come out of nowhere and can’t be turned off.
Not Great
Should have left things alone, much harder to read, added confusing and complicated navigation.
Love WCAX
My days start with them ❤️❤️❤️
So many ads! Way too many!
I used to like this app, but lately it has been unreadable because of all the ads. I will delete this app because I can get my news from much better sources
Too many advertisements and not easy to use
The app worked so much better and had fewer adds in past. It is not user friendly and hard to navigate. Update the app or bring the original back.
Crashing
App keeps crashing on IPhone 7. Fails to open on most attempts. Please fix this issue.
New update
New update is terrible. I deleted the app.
Ads
The app has way to too many ads. Every time you click on something, you have to watch an ad first. I like WCAX but this is annoying.
Obnoxious auto play ads
Ads play with volume on automatically even when my phone is in silent mode.
Disappointment
The WCAX app is more difficult to navigate than the website and deluges me with more ads at the start. I’m about to delete it.
Hate the new app
The share icon does not work, there are too many adds. It’s difficult to tell an ad from the actual articles. Visually very unpleasant and difficult to navigate. Looking to find a new news source, which is unfortunate as I’ve gotten my news from WCAX pretty much my whole childhood into adulthood.
Click-bait ADs Not Befitting of Quality News
I downloaded the app to catch up news I may have missed. The numerous click-bait ads are nothing short of annoying.
If I could give this updated app no stars I would
This updated app is terrible, the content lay out is very difficult to follow. The commercials that are attached to each news store are offensive.
Adds
If you’re going to require we look at the adds before even getting to your sight, please at least enable readers to click out of add. Most of the time I cannot get out of the add to read the news stories. Seems this defeats the purpose. A bit confused and annoyed…
Change is not better
I actually liked your app for years. Now it is impossible to read/follow. The ads are ridiculous. Even tho it is free I am not going to use it anymore. Too bad.
