Love the app, I go diving once a year so download the app to edit photos from my current holiday. Signed up for a month subscription and they have charged me a yearly one and refuse to give me a refund of the difference.
Fantastic
I recently purchased this app on the recommendation of a dive instructor. We were on a dive trip and I have the DiveVolk housing. This app does a great job color correcting the pics. I’ll try correcting videos next.
Good Color Correction, but the Constant “Connecting to iCloud” Delay Is Ridiculous
The app does a good job with underwater color correction, but the repeated “Connecting to iCloud” step is extremely frustrating and wastes a lot of time. I already saved the videos locally on my phone, yet the app still keeps showing “Connecting to iCloud” every single time. For each video, I have to wait around 30 seconds or more before I can even start working. This makes the workflow unnecessarily slow and irritating. Please fix this. If the file is already stored on the device, the app should open it directly without this constant iCloud delay. The current behavior feels poorly designed and seriously affects the user experience.
Not working
I’ve been using this app for years with minimal issues. Was using it today just fine and then did an update and now can’t see the photos I’ve added for editing. What’s going on and when will it get fixed? I pay for an annual membership.
Doesn’t work for videos
I bought premium hoping it would work well for underwater videos. However, every time I upload a video to the color corrector the app repeatedly crashes; deeming the “video corrector”, unusable.
Tech issues
Best app for editing videos. However I pay for the subscription and it won’t remove watermark and asks me to pay again. Now logged out of my account and can’t get back into it. So can not use the app although have paid for the year. Frustrating, have contacted customer service will update if I hear back and have issue corrected
Cannot use
I bought this app while diving on December 9, 2024. It’s now December 21, 2024, and I still cannot use this app. When I contact Dive+, I get same responses asking for same information over and over. Ridiculous that I paid $23, and have a brick application.
Video output broken & support emails are unanswered
The app is unable to handle videos. All outputted videos are jerky and broken. Messages sent to both support email addresses were ignored.
Great but not fully functional with MacOS
QUICK SUMMARY: Surprisingly good (even excellent) color correction on underwater photos and videos. Not fully functional on MacOS. Buy on iPhone/iPad app store first, then download this app from the Apple app store. iOS/MacOS compatibility: When you see this app on the Mac App store note the small print on the ad. It says “Designed for iPhone [it works on iPad too]… not verified [for MacOS.” So I don’t know why this app shows up in the Mac App store, because it doesn’t work as it does on an iPhone or iPad. But….. Can you use this on a Mac desktop or laptop? Does it work and work as well as on an iOS device? The answer is yes. And and no. If you want to use this on a Mac I recommend first buying this on the iOS app store, setting up your account (email, screen name, password) then trying the app subsequently downloaded from the Mac app store. (You will use the same credentials as you did with the iPhone/iPad app, and if you already bought the app from the iOS store you won’t have to pay again.) If you anticipate correcting more than a few still photos or videos buy the year-long $20 or so plan. It’s definitely worth it! I did several videos with this app (purchased from the iOS app store) on my iPad but I wanted to see things bigger, namely on my iMac. The app on my Mac color-corrected videos just as well and as easily as on the iPad. And in the vast majority of cases the color correction is excellent. But... If you bought one of the plans that allows you to remove watermarking that’ll work on iPhone or iPad, but NOT when using this on your Mac: there’s no way to prevent watermarking. The watermark the app puts on is small, in the lower left corner, and not really that obtrusive. If you don’t mind that, or if you’re going to do some further post-production and want to crop the watermark out of the clip, you’re all set. THE REVIEW I’ve been taking still photos underwater since the film days, and can easily color-correct them in Lightroom and/or Photoshop. I’m a relative newbie when it comes to video editing. I didn’t want to learn or spend big bucks on Final Cut Pro or Premiere, or mess with DaVinci Resolve, even though it’s free. So far I’ve used the Dive app to process 150 videos, some taken in relatively shallow and clear Caribbean water on a sunny day, some down to 95 feet. My camera is a DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro (auto white balance, not shot in D-Log, no filters used ). Overall I’m blown away by the results, which are noticeably better than using AquaColorFix (not a bad program) or whatever it is DJI recommends. In most cases Dive gives me results good enough to leave as-is. For the others minor color corrections in iMovie (or relatively inexpensive Adobe Premiere Elements) does the trick. The app comes with a lot of travel and social media stuff. I don’t need them. My videos are only meant to show (bore) friends and family. I have not tested what still photo formats (.PSD, .TIF, .HEIC, or various RAW files) are compatible with Dive (iOS or MacOS). There are some negatives, however. (1) I couldn’t find any documentation on how to use all the features of the app, although when it comes to video color correction there aren’t many features anyway, and it’s easy to figure things out. There’s very little on YouTube to help. (2) As noted above you can’t prevent watermarking when using MacOS. (3) The app can only access stills and videos that are in Apple’s Photos app, so I have to transfer the original files from my camera’s memory card (or the files I’ve already transferred to my hard drive) into the Photos app, then transfer the edited files back on to my hard drive. The results are worth the effort, I guess, but it’s a hassle nonetheless. If you’re using an iPhone in a housing for underwater shots you don’t have to mess with this. (4) One screen on the app mentions “batch photo processing.” That’s not possible with the Mac OS version, and I don’t think either the phone or Mac app can batch process videos. (I may be wrong on that.) (5) The resolution of the corrected video files is only 4k. That’s OK for my purposes, but maybe not yours. (6) Color correction capability is good as-is, but somewhat limited. You can only adjust the “intensity” of the corrections Dive does and that’s it. If you want to edit/color correct more you’ll have to use another program on the Dive corrected files. (7) You can trim the ends of clips with the app, but can’t cut out portions in between. (8) The app (iOS or MacOS) changes the original file names into something that’s almost impossible to interpret in terms of date, etc. It would be far better if the app allowed custom file naming or simply modified the original file names, either with something like “dp” stuck on the beginning of the original file name, or perhaps “dp” or “edit” or something similar at the end. [This is perhaps a particular problem with DJI cameras, since DJI file names are VERY long and aside from the first bunch of numbers in the file names (which give an indication of the date, but not time, the video was taken) everything else seems unfathomable.] (9) Metadata (at least as displayed in Lightroom) for the converted files — the actual date and time the video was recorded — is lost and replaced with date and time Dive did the color correction. I’m not thrilled about that. (10) If I have to go back to a previous screen, e.g., the screen that shows up first when the app is opened, I have to force quit the app. Simply quitting doesn’t work. I really wish they would do the work to make this app fully functional on MacOS!
Folders
You are unable to select folders when using this program. It looks for them automatically but I can’t figure out how it finds them. The color correction works pretty good though. Also no help for questions other than other members responding.

Terrible
I have tried many times and this app keeps shutting down whenever I try to load a video to color correct. Waste of money…find something else.

This app hardly ever works for me
I have been paying for a subscription for more than a year and I would say 3/10 times of me trying to use it does it work. Videos look beautifully restored in the sample and then when I save and download them they appear completely different (and not beautiful). Or sometimes I can only edit videos. Then the photo edit just stays frozen. Or vice versa. I know this app works for many other divers. I do the delete and reinstall often to try to fix bugs. But I’m just super bummed.
Pic correction good, videos shaky
Easiest tool for color correction for jpg. Used to be great for videos but 2 years ago that changed. MOV Videos become jumpy when corrected. Also, wish they keep original file names and append DP1, DP2, etc.
It enhances everything.
This is an underrated business they clean my pics up to a high standard and I’m a photographer well done
ZERO Customer Service
Sent an email months ago for help. Nobody ever responded although I told them I’d subscribe for a year if they could help me. …..Nothing!!! Very sus because I feel like they got what they wanted through the app permissions. Any other funds for them is peanuts.
Ideal for a Quick Fix
Ideal for a quick fix but can over blow the colours and highlights in low light and at depth. Would be ideal to add sliders to control the RGB channels. However you can’t fault the simplicity to use.
Photo correction not working
My interface on the app totally changed and looks different. The slider doesn’t work anymore and won’t stay where I am satisfied - it reverts back to way too much saturation. Please bring back the old interface for photos. This new one doesn’t work and I paid.
Ok but now crashing all the time
Great edit app but after a couple of days of VIP it crashes whenever I try and save an edited video.
Broke my camera in vacation -had to use a loaner
Broke my camera on vacation and had to use a loaner and the loaner setting were all haywire. But Dive+ fixed the color of all my photos and saved the day!!
paid for a subscription but not activating
I paid for an annual subscription but the app isn’t recognizing it and there is no option to restore.
Makes my photos look so much better
Had a problem loading this on my iPad, so I sent an email. Received a reply with a solution that works . Brilliant. Hope a fix can also be found so I can use it on my Windows 10 laptop.
Go back to the previous version
Recent upgrade causes the video correction to crash the app. It’s been long enough - just push out the previous version. I’m a paid subscriber, let me get my money’s worth. The previous version worked fine.

Great until it’s not
Love that is cleared up my images but now it crashes and does not work at all. Tried reaching tech support but it’s non existent. Super glad I paid for this.

Fix it
Paid for the subscription and the video just makes the app close. Photos looks great, but as soon as you click the video, it closes the app. Please fix it, or refund.
Photos work great, videos not so much!
Think that considering it is free, it is pretty good and quick at colour correcting my gopro 5 images. However every single video crashes the app at 1%... which is really frustrating and renders it pretty useless for me
So easy to use!
This app delivers so much for free. Some of the best photos are shared in and through the app from dive locations where I am currently located. As someone that travels for scuba spots, this app show me pictures of other divers enjoying the dives I want to book. The app is great at color correction as well. Easier than Gimp, cheaper than photoshop, and far more accurate than my iPhone editing.
Disastrous update
I contacted the company a week ago to let them know that since its last update, videos can no longer be saved. No response and I paid a subscription fee for an app that doesn’t work.
Good app but I have a problem
This is e very good app but I have a problem. Sometimes when I click on the icon to open the app it opens it and shows me the logo then it just closes the app no mater how I open it (home page of my iPhone, notification e.t.c) plz can I get a response ASAP
Video conversion not working
I have had paid version for years. The picture conversion works great. Recently, the video conversion is not working at all. The app closes down as soon as I tap on a video to convert. Very disappointing. Please fix this issue.

The app worked great when I first got it. Suddenly it wouldn’t color correct my diving videos. I reached out for help. After many emails back and forth, the conclusion was “ask apple for a refund.” They provided no possible answers or help. Of course apple refused to refund me and the app still doesn’t work over a year later. Save yourself the headache and use AquaColorFix instead!!!

Extremely poor customer service.
App keeps crashing both on iPhone and iPad when attempting to convert videos. Emailed customer service at three email addresses with no response. Chinese company out of Shanghai appears to only want to sell product but not maintain it.
Improvements can be made
I think this is a great app. The only downfall is the limited privacy. Pictures you use with app shouldn’t automatically be posted for everyone to see, it should be made like lightroom. You should be able to save your pictures without them being uploaded to the public. Another thing, allow for people to pay to use it without the logo, you’ll definitely have a lot of people purchasing that perk so you would make some money too. If it were for those things I would 100% use the app all the time.
