nice
Impression
When it was the free version, it would automatically store the OCR text in the clipboard, which was very convenient. However, in the paid version, you have to take a screenshot and then load it, adding an extra step that makes it less user-friendly. That process is basically the same as taking a screenshot, uploading it to Google Drive, and opening it in Google Docs, so I’m not willing to pay a premium for that.
Easy to use, wish to have more features
Pretty accurate overall! Ability to translate vertical Chinese is a bug plus! Hope it can capture window on screen directly.
Not that great
I got it to OCR a PDF, the result was most of the text was missing. I tried a couple of times to make it perform better, and it then said I coudn't use it further as you're limited to 3 uses in a day for free.
Is this just a wrapper of some third party cloud APIs
The windows version is complaining server is busy. So the huge software on Windows is just a client wrapper? This is not serious software development. A mature software should be self-contained.
Finally, one that works!
The good: I downloaded so many different ocr apps to read text from large amounts of images. This is the only one that accurately reads the number 0 when it is by itself on an image. For the stuff I process, this is huge and saves me a ton of time. The 'could be better': I wish the 50 limit max per batch job were higher. The bad: the limitations of free version are too severe. It doesn't allow a new user to find out if it's good enough to buy. Anyhow, I took the leap and bought the "Senior VIP" version. The process for purchasing it was horrible. It's mostly in Chinese, which I can't read, the pricing displayed is in Yuans, and I had to register an account before I could make an in-app purchase.
it works but I can't buy VIP
the email verification system is down... I can't pay them even I want to.
