I’m enjoying it
I’m only on the 7 day free trial. If this was like $20 less I would be able to afford it but I’ll keep going and see if it’s worth it. Seems good right now.
Scam
This is a scam app! I paid for a subscription in the google play store and was using the app on an android phone. Then I switched to an iPhone and downloaded the app, however there’s no way “login” to link your purchase. I’ve reached out to customer support, to no avail.
Relaxing. Long Sessions.
I like it but most sessions are about 35 minutes long. This will limit my frequency of use of the app. Looks like you can customize the sessions but it’s not very intuitive.
Terrific ! A godsend
This is a terrific app. It gets a 4.75 rating in my book. It helps me not only sleep but reduce anxiety, stay focused on work projects and workouts. A great addition to my personal meditation practice. I do wish they would add additional voices, arrange the favs and custom edited sessions a little more clearly and make the categorizations easier to search. Also please ditch the popup sales offers /referral plans once I’ve said no.
Good, but the app is frustrating
I mostly use it for sleep, and I think it’s helped. I should really try some of their other hypno courses. The app is a bit strange to learn. I wish it had meditation. I love headspace, but I wanted to try hypno for sleep. Biggest draw backs for me: 1. No airplay button in the player. It’s frustrating to use the iOS control panel to manually to connect the app to airplay. Every. Single. Time. 2. You can’t use the scrubber on the iOS lockscreen to rewind/fast forward. This sucks at night. I have to unlock my phone and be blinded by the light just to rewind. 3. Opening the app asks me to share with friend. Every. Single. Time. I know you want to grow. But just let me use the app in peace.
Found What I’m Seeking
I have recently discovered hypnosis and so thrilled. The only challenge is which program. I had decided to learn how and develop my own (time-consuming) when I discovered HypnoBox, which meets all my needs! Now, I just need to find that option to purchase Lifetime ❤️

Excellent, But
This is an amazing app, but could you please please please add more content to it? You haven’t added meaningfully to the suggestions in the years that I have used it, especially the love and sex box. A secondary request is the dating & relationships box. Yes, you’ve done a lot of polishing, which is nice, but the core value, the suggestions, haven’t improved and expanded enough to justify the cost lately…
Awful female voice
I chose the female voice and thought I was in an elocution class! Deepa and Deepa…getting Deepa… I deleted it after listening for about a minute…
Great app
This is a really good start. I’d like to see more on the subject of countering depression dispelling negative thoughts and emotions and teaching how to think positively.
I was skeptical, but it works
It’s the power of suggestion. Think positive thoughts and you’re influenced positively. It’s why advertising works, why encouraging and nurturing children works, etc. I bought sleeping earbuds so that I could listen to my custom 3 hour track at night. You can create your own sessions and cherry pick just the things you want to work on. So far it’s been very helpful. I have ADHD and it’s helped my focus during the day, from getting started on tasks to impulse control. I’m so thankful I decided to give this app a chance!

I used it nightly for 2.5 weeks and didn't see much difference in my dieting struggles, but it did help me fall asleep
Great concept but underwhelming content
This is a fantastic idea but has limited options despite seeming like a lot when you first start. For example there is so much around weight loss but nothing on pain management, IBS or most symptom relief/reduction (which Hypno is heavily evidenced as effective for). Any other health oriented stuff seems targeted at healthy people too and doesn’t seem to apply to those who aren’t generally in good health. It is adaptable so you can make some of your own content but if you don’t have Hypno knowledge I can see that being way less useful. When you record, it comes out a completely different volume as the prerecorded content and I don’t think you can change that so that can be a bit jarring when it goes really loud switching back to their content during a session. It’s also unclear what the difference between or meaning of some of the categories are in their “boxes” of prerecorded content. Would be useful to have some more descriptions of their internal lingo and better, more streamlined organisation of their content. I would also say the app isn’t very intuitive in its layout and function. I noticed it appeared on my Apple Watch too which I was excited about but that seems to be completely useless addition that is incredibly laggy. From my understanding all it can do it pause and play sessions you have already started on your phone but it was unable to do this successfully.
Quite surprised
I am pleasantly surprised by how well this seems to be working. I have decided from my free trial to pay for a sub. I did try a couple others as well but this one seems to agree with me. Never thought I would be someone who could do a hypnosis but guess so… give it a try for yourself.
Big Glitch
I did the 7day starter phase, loved it so purchased the annual subscription and now it’s completely frozen and I can’t access! No way to contact the company to address issue
Good app with frustrating documantation FAIL
This is a great app. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is that I literally spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to import my own "Voice" suggestion files. The documentation just says that I have to import them via iTunes (I guess the manual hasn't been updated in the last 4 years because... iTunes, really?) Now we can send files to an iPhone via Finder... but where? HypnoBox doesn't show up as an app to send files to in the Finder when I sync my iPhone. I tried insane workarounds like complicated ways to put the files via other apps into different folders in the iOS file system (there is no specific folder for HypnoBox in the file system that is user accessible), but no matter what I do the "Voice" import option show up as an empty "list" with zero instructions, who knows where it is looking for files, and there is absolutely nothing in the app or in the documentation to provide any help. At this price tag, it's a big fat FAIL on adding a feature and then making it impossible to use it due to being lazy with documentation.
Not so great
The voice options are robotic and disconcerting. I personally dislike that it uses first person (“I am feeling relaxed.”) and find that distracting. I’m easily hypnotizable, but this isn’t working for me. Some of the customization options are nice, and I’d enjoy that if the overall experience was better.
Versatile but needs present-state phrasing
This is a versatile app for hypnosis. There are a variety of categories, all of which allow for full customization. The ability to create your own tracks by either building from the apps options or uploading your own audio and music is where this app shines. The downside for me is that the phrasing of the affirmations is often in future state. This means I’m programming my mind to what will happen in the future instead of rewiring my brain to believe this is where I am now. In other words, I’ll always get there… one day. I fully believe the verified science taught by researchers like Dr. Joe Dispenza that says in order to rewire the brain for change, we must embody the thoughts and energy of what we want being present state because the mind treats our beliefs - past and future - as happening “now”. When we say “I will” instead of “I am”, we’re not allowing for manifestation in the present. This app will serve as a vehicle and inspiration to create my own self-hypnosis sessions. I may use theirs while I’m building my own library, however, with every “I will” statement I change it to present state and embody that energy instead. Unfortunately, this effort may make it more difficult to slip into Theta. I’ll prioritize building my own sessions so I can relax and enjoy the ride.
great for my ADHD
Self-hypnosis has been very helpful in sleeping better and managing anxiety, low self-esteem, and other ADHD traits. The difficult part about using hypnosis when you have ADHD is finding sessions that successfully bring my ADHD mind into trance. Hypnobox had been the first app I've found that let's me customize to add extra time at the beginning of the season to give me a chance to switch my focus and get into trance. Plus, there are different induction and deepening tracks to choose from and different background sounds.
Suggestion
I had the app but cancelled the subscription early on so when it was time to renew it wouldn't auto renew ... after my subscription expired it offered me a 7 day free trial... I was going to test to see if I would actually use it regular those 7 days. However I was charged immediately and tried to dispute the charge and was denied .... that was a bait and switch tactic and would like my refund asap
Good customization, still room for improvement
A great app overall, the female voice is particularly hypnotic, and the breadth of customization is excellent. I mostly use the relaxation session combined with my own recordings. While there are a lot of other suggestions to choose from, they are a bit superficial, and not getting at the root of the behaviour issues. In lieu of evidence based psychological science suggestions, adding your own recordings can partially fill that gap. However listening to your own voice or the voice of someone you know comes with emotional baggage. I have found, after a lifetime trying different therapies with limited effectiveness, that Acceptance Commitment Therapy has been the only way to really change my behaviour. And it is backed by hundreds of studies. So, I wrote my suggestions based on the principles of ACT. Then I used a separate app to do AI recordings. It is difficult to get an AI voice to simulate the delivery of the Hypnobox professional voices, so it took a lot of tweaking, and even still it’s noticeably different and lacks flow. Hopefully they can build that technology into this app at some point. Overall tho, there’s good bones in this app!
Jarring first person experience
Every recording is the same process, which talks to you in first person. I found this to be jarring and would not want to purchase as every recording is the same and I do not find it to be soothing like medical hypnosis therapy which is tailored to your needs far better, for £60 ish I can see a therapist for a more specific treatment. Though other people seem to like this so give the trials a go.
I like it, some tweaks would be nice
I’m an early app user and I was so used to the other voice and her sessions aren’t available anymore I wish they could bring those back for consistency and continuity because she was great l. I am neurodivergent and having the transcriptions are helpful because I like to read them prior to my hypnosis. There is a feature that allows access to them or there used to be and I found it very helpful and either there’s a glitch where I can’t access them any longer or the feature doesn’t work, if someone can look into it that’s be great. I love this app and if I could integrate it with other apps that’d be wonderful. The biggest gripe is access to the transcripts.
Absolutely loving it, still!
This is my second review. My first was after 3 sessions for weight loss. I still love it so much. And it is working! After the first session I noticed a huge difference in what I ate, and also how I ate slower and noticed everything about what I was eating. My challenge is finding a place and time to do a session where my dogs don't interrupt me by barking. I'm working on it. I am excited to see more voices in the future. My next session will be self love. One last thing, I love that there is drink less alcohol and another on being alcohol free. So smart! Thank you so much for this app! Arizona, USA
won’t even open
I open the app and I see the little logo and the words “Get ready for change!” underneath, but other than that, nothing ever happens.
More options
I just started 4 days ago and i like the scripts, too soon to know if it is working. I would like something for menopause: hot flashes, hormones balance, mood swings, etc. I will review again after using for longer, planning to do it everyday.
Tolle Idee, mittelmäßige Umsetzung
Der Content ist wirklich toll, aber leider hängt die App immer wieder mitten in der Session, teilweise spielt die Musik nicht gleich mit ab, usw. Also alles noch etwas wackelig. Habe ich sonst mit keiner App, die Audio und/ oder Video wiedergibt.
Warum keine Familienfreigabe?
Ich finde die App eigentlich gut und nutze sie gerne. Ich zahle auch das Abo ABER es gibt einen Punkt, der mich mittlerweile wirklich ärgert: warum gibt es dafür keine Familienfreigabe? Es gibt Suggestionen, die sich an Eltern und Kinder richten, sodass ich davon ausgehe, dass auch Familien als Kunden erwünscht sind - für jedes Familienmitglied ein eigenes Abo abschließen zu müssen, finde ich allerdings wenig familienfreundlich. Ich habe vor drei Jahren schon direkt beim Entwickler nachgefragt und bekam die Antwort, dass die App das technisch noch nicht könne, man sie aber in den kommenden Updates umsetzen werde. Ich habe geduldig gewartet, dann doch noch mal nachgefragt und bekam wieder die Antwort, dass man die Familienfreigabe weiterhin als Ziel habe, aber noch nicht sagen könnte, wann sie kommt. Nun sind wieder Monate ins Land gegangen und sie geht immer noch nicht. Ich verstehe nicht, warum sich da seit Jahren nichts tut. Das Abo-Modell wird vom Entwickler mit der konstanten Pflege und Weiterentwicklung der App begründet, es kommen auch immer wieder neue Inhalte dazu, aber man findet keinen Weg, die Familienfreigabe technisch umzusetzen? 🤔 Lieber Entwickler, was auch immer die Gründe sein mögen, ich bitte um ein klärendes Statement: wird es noch eine Familienfreigabe geben und wenn ja, wann?
Best hypno app I’ve tried
I have tried a lot of hypnosis products and have liked many of them . But this one is special. It is super customizable. And I think I have actually managed to hypnotize myself to be more disciplined. So far o feel like a different person with no additional effort.

Lovely idea
I love the app and find it really works. My only comment so far is about the healthy eating segment. I wish it wasn’t so prescriptive, It keeps talking about eating fruit and having breakfast which for a diabetic trying to cut down on sugar and practice intermittent fasting immediately knock me out of hypnosis as I think “that’s not right for me”. Please could we have a more general one.

Das ist eigentlich ein fantastische App, ein super durchdachtes Konzept, alles wirklich TOP - bis auf das Wichtigste! Der Text ist auf den Punkt, die Hintergrundgeräusche ganz wunderbar - aber der Sprachrhytmus, die Intonation, eine Katastophe! Sorry aber der Text wird so gesprochen, das man sich NICHT entspannen kann, in schriller Cheerleadermanier wird betont, nach kurzen Pausen hart und unryhmisch weitergesprochen in einer Weise die eher aufweckt, aktiviert und keinesfalls in Hypnose versetzt. Die Stimme (weiblich) ist OK, aber die Sprechweise passt eher zu einem Workout. Ich habe das kostenlose Bonusprogramm getestet und es hat mich trotz der genialen App, abgeschreckt. Ich konnte kein einziges Mal entspannen, egal wie sehr ich versucht habe die Stimmlage und Betonung zu ignorieren und dem Text zu lauschen, mein Unterbewustsein hat es definitiv nicht erreicht. So werde ich kein Abo kaufen.
Provide more hypnosis speakers/narrators please
The male hypnosis cadence feels drawn out and slow. I like Paul McKenna’s delivery and speed but he only offers a few self hypnosis options. He also has a quicker induction style that I don’t think HypnoBox offers.
Great Hypnosis tool
I loved using the HypnoBox app before my recent trip to Japan. I tried out the fly with confidence session, and added a self-recorded time distortion section to it. The travel time felt so much shorter, and I arrived feeling way more relaxed than usual. Definitely recommend it!
I do not recommend this app
The voice you hear when advertised is only part of the program. A creepy male voice is the other half of it that gave me a horrible feeling and I couldn’t listen to it. So I’m only getting g 1/2 of the program and had a terrible time getting clarification on what sessions had it. Tried to cancel and got this roundabout answer that I had to complete 6 sessions first, but their answers were so spread apart it was still charged. The voice is eerily like another app on the market and maybe some people like it but I can still hear it and still feel extremely off from it. Just my opinion.
Helps with sleeping and focusing
Really enjoying this app so far, I love the fact I can customise my playlists to suit me, the only issue I have is the background sounds are a bit limited. I find a lot of the nature sounds too harsh for helping me sleep, and the mantra songs can be slightly off putting with the singing. I have two that I’m okay with though so it’s not put me off. I haven’t tried doing an awake session yet, but I suffer dreadfully with insomnia and even when I’m having difficulty sleeping this has helped get me off painlessly. Subscription is a lot so it would be great if there were tiered options, as it’s not something I could commit to if I wasn’t saving money in lockdown
Great variety but sessions take too long
Great job in creating a large variety of unique and useful content but I don’t have a 1/2 hour everyday to sit uninterrupted to take on this process. Even if you put together your own module it is going to take some time. The content of scripts is on point but the delivery is stiff and choppy. Good product but doesn’t work for me.
A female voice would be good, a bit less Radio 4
I like the hypno sessions but find myself thinking I’m listening to a play on radio 4. The voice is a little too RP for me. As I’m a woman, I’d also like to know if the speaker is going to be male or female before I start. The content is good though.

This has absolutely changed my life! I am so free and so much happier! You truly can achieve anything you put your mind to and this lets you put your mind to it with ease by reprogramming your subconscious which controls your actions 90% of the time. I’ve taken control of my life thank you!
Warning!
The app allows for sessions to be downloaded, but then does not allow them to be played without internet access. So what’s the point of downloading them? Tried to listen to a session on a plane and it wouldn’t load.

Paid £59.99 content as advertised was all accessible inside until I closed the app and returned later! Now wants me to pay for all content and deleted my previous work! Refund or fix ASAP! ......................... 4 stars given as was told how to fix this but it shouldn’t / hasn’t happened with any previous purchase. First session was good will explore more.
Great idea, poor execution, weird vocals.
I’ve been involved with hypnosis for over a decade and whilst this app’s idea is amazing, the execution is clunky, overly complex and the tonality and intonation of the vocals is strange. I’ve listen to hundreds of Hypnotherapists over the years and I’ve NEVER heard someone use such a strange tonal delivery as this app has. Makes it unusable for me, despite the concept being great. Makes me think they used a voice actor instead of a Hypnotherapist to record this. Sounds like what an uneducated vocal talent THINKS a hypnotherapist would sound like. I suggest a UI/UX review for removing unnecessary complexity and get new vocals recorded.

We’re all hypnotized.
We’re all under some form of hypnosis. ( Most have no idea that they are in a “trance”! ) This app gives you tools to be the one in control of who’s doing the hypnotizing.
Bug - Works Intermittently Only
On most plays I get background track (eg waves, forest etc) but no voice (induction, suggestions etc). This is on all sessions including box sessions. Only occasionally does it work properly.

Didn’t have great expectations for this app, have had trouble sleeping for years, fell asleep before it finished. Might not work for everyone but certainly did for me,give it a try you’ve nothing to lose. Going to try stop smoking next, probably harder but hey-ho worth a try. Thank you HypnoBox

The free boxes seem good. Paid for subscription for Pro but have no addition access to new boxes or hypnosis recordings. Very frustrating.
New Content?
I purchased the 6 month subscription and have been using the app daily. It has helped me leaps and bounds. The sessions and the ability to curate personal sessions is such a convenient feature. My day-to-day has improved exponentially from using this app regularly. A couple areas of disappointment are as follows: only 1 session content update over the last 6 months. So I’m reluctant to commit to another 6 months to the exact same content. I have subscribed to the newsletter several times, but nothing has been sent over. I have also sent feedback with the hopes of some kind of update, but have heard nothing back. I hope there will be some updates soon. It’s a great app.
