App Not working
Literally everything stopped working for no reason , i tried re-installing the app , i tried resetting my wifi , i tried almost everything and yet nothing is working
changr 3D view
please change this new 3D view or make it less confusing. load and pv are distinguishable at first glance
False Readings Since Last Upgrade
Overall, I love this app. Previously, my only “wish”. Was that system status was closer to real-time. Since last week’s upgrade, however, the app routinely shows 0watts solar even after refreshing. Now, I can’t trust it.
Jerky
When pointing to a graph to move the time cursor, the graph becomes very jerky and in unstable. this happened after the last upgrade yesterday
Why low ratings?
So, I’ve been using this app for 6 months and I don’t understand the low ratings, I see all the info I could need and there is a lot more info, I can change my inverter setting, I can change my battery settings from anywhere, any time. Once after an update the realtime reading broke, I emailed the developer, they confirmed the bug after the update and they fixed it like 2 days later. The app probably is too technical for some people, but the app is far from bad. I think it’s great.
Horrible App. Once the password expires you are locked out forever
I cannot believe how bad this app is. Also I think the data is held in Red China.
Recent upgrade issues
Please put the Power Flow back.i rely on it for maintaining systems when I am not at this remote off grid site. Please put it back to functioning. SAH
App is not worth the free cost
This app is next to worthless. The monitoring screens do not update in real time. Latest version unusable on ipad with current version of ipados.
Font size
On the “power flow” is WAY too small. Hard to read even with my cheater eye glasses donned.
Load reading place
Please change the Load Reading place in 3D View.show near car park
PV Pro
For the last 2 months the app shows no power use or charging! My Solark inverter is working. The app is not showing any battery charge, kilowatt made or used!
Great app but a bit over complicated
The app is great but its a bit cramped with loads of options that basically lead to the same information. Would recommend/love to see Dark mode! Please make it happen! It could be added under the personalization settings.
Mediocre at best
Very confusing layout and very hard to make some things work. Comparing to other apps, this one seems very outdated and hard to use. Update: now the power flow disappeared and you need to shutdown the app and started again to see the power flow. Every app update gets worst!!
Battery charge/discharge not present.
Recently I’m unable the see the battery indicator which tells if it’s charging or discharging. This is not helpful.
App funktioniert tadellos!
Caveat Emptor - User Agreement Nonsense
I urge users to always read User Agreements rather than blindly accepting them . This app’s User Agreement is a perfect example of why. This agreement is utter nonsense. It is painfully obvious that it was not written by a competent contracts professional and/or reviewed by a competent attorney. It makes no sense whatsoever, and in places even states the opposite of what was (hopefully) meant! I will site a few examples, just for reference, but there are glaring issues with practically ever paragraph of the document. “1.2 All ownership right, explanation right and operation right of all PV-CSP or PV-APP services shall be possessed and covered by E-LINTER.” What does “covered” even mean in this context? “1.3 E-LINTER shall not cover the notification obligation. “ So, E-LINTER reserves the right to change the terms at any time, but feel no obligation to inform the other parties to the agreement? Wow! 2.Attentions 2.1 After the completion of registration, you should keep confidential all account numbers and passwords, and you should disclose the same to any unauthorized third party.” So, let me get this straight - you WANT us to share our account number and password with unauthorized third parties? Starting to see a problem here? “3.2 A client shall comply with relevant laws and regulations, shall not upload any illegal information, and shall not infringe any patent right, copyright, trademark right, reputation right or legitimate interest of any third party. In case of violation, the client shall independently cover and bear all liabilities.” So, we are expected to protect E-LINTER’s reputation? Let’s see them come after me for my review of their absurd User Agreement. They’ll need an attorney for that… “3.3 A client shall carefully keep its PV-CSP or PV-APP account numbers and passwords.” Do they mean we should keep them “secure”? “4.1 E-LINTER will not publicize, or provide any third party with individual client's registration information and the client's non-publicity contents in PV-CSP or PV-APP when it uses PV-CSP or PV-APP, except any of the following circumstances: … (5) If E-LINTER is to improve the service quality of PV-CSP or PV-APP.” So, it’s OK to disclose client’s “non-publicity contents”, as long as it improves the service quality of the app? I don’t think so! “While we use reasonable measures to protect information that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service personnel and technical staff, we cannot guarantee the security of account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of account information at any time. We cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us…”. So, is it standard procedure that workers in China who have access to your private information aren’t required to not steal it for their own use? Asking for a friend. Finally, it seems ALAPAKI feels compelled to defend this app with his rebuttal “review”. Could it be because it is the only app available to use with the systems he installs? He berates other reviewers and even other solar installers in defense of this pathetic app.
Okay
Has a few issues. Like logical view just constantly reloads and never displays properly most of the time. The cost/payback stat doesn’t take into account that the rate can change over time, or can vary during a day or even account for all the different types of buyback. But minor issues aside, it does a pretty good job of monitoring your PV system overall.
Needs work
Constantly signs me out and does not work with face recognition on my iPhone
Only option and unusable tech contact
PV pro is the only app that I can find that monitors my solar set up. It’s not a very good app in general, though it does actually cover most of the things we need, but it’s too hard to break out the information. Also, there’s no separate way to see when the generator is running. I also have a tech-support question, but the companies requirement to include my telephone number, does not tell me what format to use! And they will not except the tech-support request without a correctly, formatted phone number. They just don’t tell you what that format is. I think that speaks volumes.
Doesn’t work anymore
The initial app worked well. Now it doesn’t work at all. Why did they upgrade it?
Widget & Dark Model
Please add a few widgets. One for displaying the power flow. One for showing the generation graph. And one for showing the generation purpose. Also, we need dark mode!!!
App crashing after 4.06 update
App won’t load after latest update. Deleted, rebooted and installed again. Still crashes at launch. Tried to lookup support via support link in AppStore. No option for support on their website. Disappointing
Colorblind mode needed
The graphs are hard to read for colorblind users. Please provide a way for us to select our own color theme.
Installer with over 50 plants, not the illegal kind
To reiterate “DieselArt”s post, this app has way more data for your inverter (and EVERYTHING connected to it) than you could possibly get from any other means. A rant for those users that have given 1 star because they don’t know how to use a product: If you don’t want to give your main email then use an alternate. I’ve never been asked for my phone number. If you still have a tinfoil hat on you can also give your inverter inaccurate personal information so you can sleep at night knowing the Illuminati won’t know your address. You can remove your dongle when not in use. If you don’t like that it is the only monitoring app out there then develops your own. Your phone has a dimmer if the app is too bright. It is bad for your eyes to use screens in dark rooms, turn on the lights. I have not experienced any bugs, close the app and reopen it if something seems off. If you don’t like foreign developed apps then you really don’t want to know where the computer chips in your inverters are from. If you want real-time, down to the second plant information then stand up, walk to your inverter and look at the screen. The app will update every few minute or less if you refresh the page. If your solar company didn’t help you to share your plant properly then you likely hired the wrong people. That happens when you choose the lowest bid just because it was the cheapest. This also covers “inaccurate” plant data due to installers using the wrong time method, PVkw or pricing. Perhaps the solar company should get the 1 star instead of the app. Some guy gave a 1 star because he has to sign in occasionally, pathetically lazy and ignorant! A lot of these 2 stars say they’re mad that they don’t know how to use a product that they have never used before, it is called learning. Practice learning.
No data
This APP was working for a year, then suddenly it is not collecting data; I have to physically go to my inverter to double check usage. Is there a glitch??? Any help???
Works well
The font on the phone is too small. There needs to be a selection to enlarge the font for the phone and this app would be great. Also, upon initial start up it does not read the battery capacity correctly. My battery percentage reads at 83% while on the app it reads at 43%.
3.9.3 update
Update broke plant summary power flow and battery screen under system tab no longer show accurate DOC in the battery display icon
New update won’t show power generation
It shows that the panels are meeting the electrical needs for the house on the inverter, but in the app it says that all the power is coming from the grid.
Best app for the best Inverter in the market
I’ve been using this app for a few months now and after the initial learning curve I’ve learned to love the data being right at my fingertips. That being said, this app isn’t for everyone. Even with my electrical engineer background some of the features available in this app were not exactly intuitive. Once I learned what’s available in this app I’m amazed how useful it is. I would suggest to anyone that has a hard time operating their ring cameras maybe stay away from this app. It’s obvious that this app was created by engineers jamming everything they could into it. Anyway it short I find this app is nothing short of amazing approaching 99% perfect. Luckily it is continuing to evolve and improve. Hopefully people will hesitate to leave one star reviews simply because of their ignorance. If this app is too hard for you to understand maybe switch to something more consumer friendly and watered down like a Victron cerbo GX.
What happened to the readings?
I get that they are trying to improve it, but I’ve been 13 days with everything saying 0W. Too long for them to fix a bug or provide a reasonable ETA or communication as to when it will be fixed.
Unfortunate App for a Terrific Inverter
First, and somehow foremost, there is no dark mode. That alone warrants a poor rating. Please fix. Second, it is absolutely clear this app wasn’t designed by a native English speaker. It shows in so many places. A lot of the “headings” do not make sense. Third, how you get to information you care about is abysmal. Several clicks/taps to see your energy flow, is one example of this. However, the inverters themselves - outstanding. That’s why it was a two star rating and not a one star.
Unreliable
Depending on what device you are using. Certain options are not available they are off screen. Also sometimes when changing parameters on app. They do not take or the wording on inverter is different on app then Inverter.
Updates?
Our app stopped tracking > one week ago.
Buggy!
Was working. Then lost the plant. It ‘funds’ it with QR code. Then nothing further. Seems really flakey. Is there an alternative?
Good but not great
The app seems to work ok (provides all the info you might expect), but there are a few obvious quirks that make it frustrating. The biggest is the refresh behaviours (or lack thereof); when in the Overview detail view, there is no way to refresh the data without going back to the main screen to refresh there. Even on the main Overview screen, the data doesn’t refresh (even the display of when it was last refreshed!!!) until you pull down to refresh. Fixing these refresh issues would go a long way. It is also disappointing that most of the data is only collected when the system is connected to the network; the only data that seems correct for times when not connected is the lifetime total.
Sloppy app maintenance
This app is useful when it works, however, updates are sloppy and break more than they fix. App frequently shows my system offline when it is not offline. That issue happens after most updates. App has degraded over the last 2 years to the point it is mostly non functioning.
Accuracy
When compared to my energy providers stats this app is significantly off. Also I don’t think my estimated return on a $25K investment will be anywhere near the $7M it is projecting.
Don’t forget your passwords!
No tech support if you forget your password! I have been locked out for several days after this stupid program updated!
Just okay
This is just okay. Seems to log me out frequently but now screens are missing. Hopefully they improve it!
