SCAMMERS

Used them for a few months, service was okay but watch out, when you cancel (even before the next billing cycle) they will still keep charging you. I cancelled several weeks ago, deleting all numbers and this morning they still charged me for another full month. When trying to talk to support chat, it just says they will email me, and they never do. So this morning I had to cancel my debit card and opened an entire new bank account because I don’t trust them. If I was you I wouldn’t trust them either!

Terrible Customer Service & User Interface…

I was looking for a reliable internet calling app. When properly working this app has pretty decent quality calls. However, I attempted to recharge my service and the option isn’t properly presenting in app and “customer service” said they’d forward it to the billing team but almost a week later there still hasn’t been resolution. Additionally, they charge full price for the subscription but limit calls to 3 a day of an i.d. is not loaded. Whom in their right mind wants to give sensitive information to a 3rd party app and a non regulated company? It’s a ridiculous request. The appropriate thing to is to set a date limit (90, 180, etc) and if things are not verified in that way then cut all service but don’t have people paying full price for a service and then restricting the service, that is criminal. Also, customer service can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks to get back to you. If there’s a matter expect to recieve half responses or no response at all. Their internal ui is different than ours. They sent me screenshots for a ui that is not present on their site or in the app. All not useful at all and the problem remains unresolved. I’ll be looking for a much better app with more pristine delivery and customer care

This app is a scam. I paid the subscription for months before realizing my number did not stay the same. The support was no help either and led me in circles. My business took a huge financial loss with customers being unable to contact us. There is also no tech support after 5pm or on weekends.

Lots of delays

I have to be honest that I am very reluctant to use this app for phone calls because the quality is so bad. It is very difficult to have conversations with customers when there’s such a huge delay. There’s also a delay in logging the calls so you get a call and you wanna text the customer back you can’t. Because the log Hasn’t updated yet.

Was once a savings, at a cost; now just an unnecessary cost.

When I first got open phone, all was well- basic and cheap and reliable. Now some years later my price has been steadily increased, they blame features I don’t use, and have blocked me from others that were free in the past. My “final straw” reason for leaving is the 48hr response times on all support inquires. Unacceptable for a business to have unreachable support- and EVERY response adds 48hrs to your ticket life. If they have 3 questions, you’d better plan to be down all week.

Works… kinda

I love having a new business number and sharing the app with my business partner so we both see incoming messages and calls. However, a large part of our job is sending photos and videos to our clients. On a weekly basis Quo struggles sending simple iPhone videos and pictures that would have sent just fine the week before, whether I am using WiFi or data. Then I have to try a thousand different ways of compressing and sending content before eventually having to add my clients into my personal contacts and send content from my personal number, entirely defeating the purpose of using and paying for this app. Additionally, a handful of clients can’t even receive text messages or calls from my Quo number for some unknown reason, so I have to continue to communicate with them from my personal number as well. This has honestly been more of a pain than it’s worth, making my business number seem unprofessional to my clients. I will be getting a separate business phone soon, porting my Quo number to a new device, which is not the route I wanted to go. I like having my business info on both mine and my partner’s personal phones all wrapped up in one app. Having a separate phone will be a different kind of inconvenience. I keep trying to give the app a chance to get better and resolve issues, but I just stay frustrated and disappointed at its reliability.

Missed Messaging

We’ve been experiencing significant issues with the messaging system that make it unreliable for business use. The problems are inconsistent and vary by recipient: * Some contacts can send text messages to us but cannot receive our replies. * Others can receive our messages but are unable to send messages back. * Some contacts are only able to exchange messages intermittently. * There are also phone numbers that cannot be messaged at all, even after completing every recommendation provided in the Trust Center. This has been extremely frustrating, especially since we’re relying on the platform for business communication. We intentionally started with the Starter plan to evaluate the platform before committing to a higher-tier subscription. Unfortunately, that plan does not include direct access to customer support, leaving us limited to email-based IT support. Before contacting IT, I worked through the entire troubleshooting guide and completed every recommended step on our end. After doing so, the documentation ultimately suggested that the issue was with the recipient’s device or carrier. Given that these problems occur across multiple contacts using different carriers and present in different ways, that explanation does not appear to account for the underlying issue. QUO has the potential to be an excellent VoIP platform. However, in its current state, I do not feel it is reliable enough for business communication. A business phone system must be dependable, and at this point I cannot confidently trust that messages are being delivered or received as expected. I sincerely hope this issue can be resolved soon, as it has now been approximately a week since I first reported the problem.

★★★☆☆ United Kingdom · v4.0.22 · 19 May 2026

It’s so-so

I’ve had this app for a few years now to connect with family in the US (I live in the UK). There are a lot of cons to the app however. The first thing is you must be registered to a US carrier to begin, so if you aren’t from the US, you must have someone who has a first-party US number set it up for you. I love that the calls record by default and you can listen back to them. What I don’t love is there’s a few times where when someone calls, the call does not ring through and then you get the notification to say missed call, when you try to call back nothing happens it will not connect and stays stuck on the call screen, it doesn’t even ring. This happens once every few months. Also my calls will drop for no reason, I won’t even be touching my phone and it will just hang up, without any connection issues. I think £17.99 a month is slightly outrageous to pay for a service that is so hit or miss, but out of the apps like this I’ve tried they all have their issues and this seems to be the best one so far. The main thing for me is to have that record feature many apps do not have. If I didn’t need that feature I’d for sure go and look for something cheaper and better.

Business phone

originally left a 5-star review, but I’m updating it to 2 stars. The phone system itself works well, and overall I’ve been happy with the product. Unfortunately, the customer support has been extremely disappointing. I currently manage six business phone numbers and will be expanding to 15–20 numbers as we continue opening new locations. I’ve been trying to get a toll-free number registered that will be displayed on more than 40+ fleet vehicles, but the process has dragged on with little to no communication. Support has been slow to respond, and getting updates has been incredibly frustrating. It’s unfortunate because the product is solid, but reliable support is just as important—especially for growing businesses. I hope Quo improves its responsiveness, because that’s the only reason I can no longer recommend it as highly as I once did.

I chose Quo instead of Ring Central simply because I don’t need all the options Ring Central offers and quite frankly their interface is super difficult. I demoed Quo and was super excited with how easy everything was but unfortunately the actual call quality and texting leaves MUCH to be desired. My calls almost always sound like one of us is under water or far away. Regardless of if I’m on data or WiFi when taking the call. People frequently tell me “you just cut out for 10 seconds” I frequently get notifications saying my text was not delivered so when I go to the text it doesn’t have the red exclamation and the option to resend. So did it send? I have no idea!! Great question. Also I don’t like how the app merges calls and texts in the same feed. It’s very overwhelming. I’m pretty sure I’m in a 1 year contract as I paid in full for the whole year to save money. I guess another lesson in business I have learned.

Good line, rough billing migration, lack of support

Two stars, and I wanted to be specific about why rather than just vent. The product itself works fine as a second business line. My problem was billing. Quo's own help docs describe a "Switch to credit card" button on the Plan & Billing page to move off App Store billing. That button does not exist on my account. The in-app support bot could not fix it or explain it, and I had to be escalated to a human on the billing team to migrate the subscription on the back end. The part that actually cost me sleep: I had already cancelled the App Store subscription on the understanding that direct billing would take over. Because the migration wasn't immediate, my live business number was left at risk of lapsing before the paid period ended. That number is published on my customer-facing material, so a lapse isn't cosmetic. The support rep I eventually reached was responsive and did open a ticket. But a documented feature that doesn't exist, on the billing screen of all places, is the kind of thing that should never reach a paying customer. Fix the button or fix the docs. It’s been a few days and nobody has responded.
